If your I-130 is with Vermont, you do not have a prayer of being approved this week, nor do you likely have a prayer of being approved in January, or even February. VSC is not finished with the March K-3'ers (see my timeline), they have not gotten into the April's yet. There is a reason USCIS, after 32 days, has not updated their processing times table. They have not moved forward.
If you are at California, smile, you can rest assured your application will get finished before it would if it was in Vermont. If you are in Vermont, pray that you get transferred to California.

Soniasharmin,I don't mean to play spoilsport here but do remember that between now and the end of the year is the holiday season - I would expect most people at VSC to be taking time off and spending it with their families. And so I wouldn't expect much to happen in terms of approvals until people start coming back to work in the New Year. I really hope that they start tackling the backlog with renewed vigor when they come back and give us the news we have all been waiting to hear.
Also as bad as your situation may seem to be, please remember that there are a number of people who applied (especially for K3) even before you, that are still waiting. Just give it some time and I am sure you will hear something positive soon (luckily for you VSC seems to be moving on the CR-1/IR-1 cases faster than K3).
Deepak
Dear RooDoo,
I don't think we are here to compete with each other in terms of waiting period. And also I know this is a holiday season going on. This is a place where we can breathe, share... Not just poke one another by saying who is facing what, who is before me and who is after!!! You seem more frustrated than me.... God bless you buddy....
One more thing, if you, for any reason, don't like this thread, no one would force you to post something...TRUST ME!!!

I love this stuff.
Narnia, you rock.
My girls never let me down.
You know what? I hope you and Lisa get approved before I do. Natasha would kill me for saying that, but no one has done better in keeping all of us sane than you two. Reading your messages are some of the highlights of my day.
Bless your hearts, your husbands are lucky men. Keep the faith, girls, it will happen for you soon.

And also can't forget a classic....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OB3PKNqFeO0
Reunited lyrics by Peaches & herb
I was a fool to ever leave your side
Me minus you is such a lonely ride
That breakup we had
Has made me lonesome and sad
I realize I love you
'Cause I want you back
Hey, hey
I spent the evening with the radio
Regret the moment that I let you go
Our quarrel was such
A way of learning so much
I know now that I love you
'Cause I need your touch
Hey, hey
(Chorus:)
Reunited, and it feels so good
Reunited, 'cause we understood
There's one perfect fit
And, sugar, this one is it
We both are so excited
'Cause we're reunited
Hey, hey
I sat here, staring at the same old wall
Came back to life just when I got your call
I wished I could climb
Right through the telephone line
And give you what you want
So you would still be mine
Hey, hey
I can't go cheatin', honey; I can't play
I found it very hard to stay away
As we reminisce
On precious moments like this
I'm glad we're back together
'Cause I missed your kiss
Hey, hey
(Repeat chorus)
Lover, lover, this is sudden love
And you're exactly what I'm dreamin' of
All through the day
And all through the night
I'll give you all the love I have
With all my might
Hey, hey
(Repeat chorus)

Lisa, I'm telling you, honey - only in America can people who are such utter incompetent a$$-clowns keep their jobs. Even better than that, they hold a position of authority!! If we replaced every VSC rep with the Walt Disney World staff, including people in costume (Go Mickey), the people in the gift shops (Want a Donald Duck sweater?), even the people working the trams in Goofy parking area #5, they would have all of us approved by the end of this month. You know why? Because, at Disney, if you don't do your job, YOU ARE FIRED!! At VSC, if you don't do your job, you get an extra 2 weeks paid vacation.
If VSC staff worked at Disney, the line for Space Mountain would stretch to Seattle.
I'm being a little pleasant with my comments, because what I really would like to say could easily make it into 50 Cent's new hit single.
Lots of love to you and Narnia.
CJ-G
I'll start off with some super sh!tty news...Congressman's office called..
NOthing. Our case hasnt been touched by an adjudicator. VSC is even starting to annoy the congressman's office lol
She said she would like to "just walk in there once and see what they are doing over there!"
th good news? the constituent manager talked to the congresman about her frustrations with VSC and has started to look for people to hold accountable. Im glad she got pissed at "tina" at VSC lol
update on VSC:
Around 40K cases have just been sent to CSC to reduce the backlog.
Even the USCIS liason is confused/frustrated about the timelines moving back n forth
They probably wont update the website posted times until next month since "they have been doing it every other month sometimes"
The VSC liason chick admitted "I dont really know what the reason is for the big slowdown"
So, Once again I would like to thank VSC for their utter incompetence. Their lack of accountability. What else? Oh ya, for feeling absolutely no urgency for approving spousal visas. After all, fiances' and naturalizations are far more important than FAMILY MEMBERS THAT ARE SEPERATED.
ok, who's next?

Rock on, Desi. Been a long wait for you.
CJ-G
Hey Friends,I got approved on both I-130 and I-129F on 12/18/2008 at 6:00pm. For many of you, you know the feeling and I'm much of the same way.
Special thanks to lot of you for help & support.
-
Narnia I'm here, honey. I feel ya - I think what's keeping me from getting completely "unstable" about the whole situation are two things - one, I'm off to Bealrus on 1/4 to see Natasha (thanks VSC, for costing me another $1,500) and I had prepared myself to expect nothing this month, although signs from the recent days are telling me that they may be getting "teasingly" close.
Besides, I have adopted you and Lisa as my virtual "signifcant others" in VSC hell, so, I consider myself lucky. At least I know I could go get drunk with you two, without a passport, visa, or USCIS approval.
Hang in there, hon. I don't think there's a snowball's chance that K3 date at VSC gets moved to April this month. Something tells me January may be big, for a lot of us, I think it would be freaking ironic if my approval comes between 12/25 and 1/5, and Natasha gets her embassy packet while I am over there.
All I know is this. If I am still waiting when I return from visiting her on 1/19, I will....nah, I should leave that blank for now.
So, where are we going to party on Xmas? C'mon, you, me, Lisa, and the others who want to join us for shots, and a road trip to Vermont. The conversation on that road trip would be epic.
Take care, dear.
CJ-G
F- the lawyer that told me to do the K-31 Seriously!I woulda been done faster doing only the I-130 and getting transferred to CSC. Even with an AP it woulda been faster than this $hit we're dealing with now!
I bet they don't even update the processing times. They don't wanna put any March dates out because they know they're gonna be flooded with calls! They'll probably update in January 09 and put out an early March date then.
Where's CJ-G??? I need someone to vent with!
Lisa, you're too nice!
-
Hold on, Lisa. I feel ya. Better days are coming for you, love.
CJ-G
This thread is depressing me now. Im so sorry for you guys being seperated for so long -
VERY COOL, DAVID & LUDMILLA. Natasha and I have been watching you two closely, we're (she) Belarus also, and we are only a couple of weeks after you on both NOA-1's. Big congrats, this is really encouraging. Best of luck. I would like to stay in touch with you, to see how NVC and the Warsaw out-process pans out for you.

I got an approval letter (by snail-mail) today for both my I-130 & I-129F. Didn't receive a notice by email and the approval hasn't been posted online at USCIS. However, both petitions were "touched" on 12/09/08. I will update my timeline tomorrow. Now it's on to NVC!Hang in there March filers! VSC appears to have gotton off their duffs and are starting to churn them out! Good luck all!

Back at ya, gal. Much appreciated.
No waterboarding. I was just forced to watch instructional videos of how to pass the civil service exam. I guess enemy combatant detainees make good potential federal government employees.
I'll see ya tomorrow, unless these offensive comments get me bounced again...

Hey girl, I've been reviewing the site over the weekend through a couple of other buds. Of course I got bounced - I knew I would. Yeah, my webname was just let out of Gitmo.I've never been one to let "the man" make my decisions on what I say, if I feel I was right in my actions, and of course, I do. If put in a similar scenario, I'd do it again, in a New York minute. It won't keep me off the website, it just might result in my screen name dropping off one day. But, I'll be here. At least until this walk uphill, both ways in the snow.
Good to see some of our pals got some approvals over the weekend and today. We'll see if the trend continues. I've heard nothing yet, but, I've concluded that mine probably won't come until after the first, so if it happens prior to that, it will be a nice (and long overdue surprise)
I can't remember if it was Robbyrob or SraC, but one of them had an I-130 NOA 1 of 3-20, which is only 8 days before mine. I'm now all but ignoring the I-129F dates when looking at the K3 approval times, I think the actual approval data is showing that the I-130 date is completely driving the K3 approvals.
Anyway, Lisa, hope you and Narnia had a good weekend, and as the old line goes. "I'm baaaaaaaack"..
Where is CJGATOR????? I bet you he has an approval today!!!!!!!!!! He's only a day after mrsrhoades!I was thinking about him this weekend....I hope he isnt on a tos suspension after the party thread
CJ, where are you?!?!?!
Welcome back! I hope there was no waterboarding at gitmo for ya.. I was drafting an appeal letter for you lol
I noticed it was the 130 date also. which is good really. i think desi and you are next for real.
we're supposed to be out of the godforsaken que this week(yesterday actually) we'll see.
glad you're back

Absolutely you can, Push. Your advice has saved many on this site, and you are reaspectful, albeit direct, to the plight of others. You are appreciated, you offer lots of good (sometimes hard to digest) advice without ever asking for anything, and being appreciative of our circumstances.
GET MRS. PUSHBRK HOME!!
All the best..

daboyz, do these people want a war or what? Not even worth it. She's right about everything, and everybody else is wrong. The sooner people realize that is how she operates, the better.
Its hard to be right all the time, you know.
Actually, I have a bit of a problem with ones who have nothing better to do than badger people for no apparent reason.
"rally 'round the family" by rage against the machine started playing in my head and i got a little carried away lol
Hard to figure why someone that got approved years ago, has nothing better to do than run around this site beating people down. Once my wife is here, I'd like to spend my time with her. Who knows. Allegedly, she helps some people. I haven't seen it. It's only a matter of time before one of her minions lock this thread.
I have wondered that about alot of members here really, and some just come by to stir the pot. Its sad really
Some pots need stirring. Even though my wife arrive more than two years ago, I've been doing without her for 7 weeks now and it'll be another 48 hours before she returns. Can I join the pity party for a while?

I love my peeps. You are all invited to sail on our first cruise with us when Natasha gets here. Bubba-jo can come too. Because, the hot tub gets dirty after a while when happy couples are relaxing in it. Here's your toothbrush, BA-BY..

You know I love you girls. If I get booted off this website, because I might, I have had an ongoing fight with that stump of a human rebeccajo for a few weeks now, you all can reach me at chris00uf@hotmail.com
I am tired of her. She and I have gone round and round long enough. She's connected to the originators of this website, so she can be an a$$hole without anyone doing anything about it. Ask daboyz what I am talking about. He knows. I will go down swigning.
If bubba-jo brings any more stuff, I will nail her hardcore. My e-mail at hotmail is chris00uf@hotmail.com if her buddies kick me off this site. You can reach me there. Best of luck to all of you, Lisa and Narnia, I love you ladies, I feel your pain, and keep the faith. Best to all of you.

I just want to say that I think the title 'notimeforhaterz' isn't really accurate.#######!?
Back off, a$$ clown. This girl's done nothing to you. She's one of the most supportive people in this whole K-3 group. Stop being a freak and keep your 8th grade diatribe somewhere else. Or, is your husband at a strip club with the boys tonight, so mama's left with nothing to do??CJ-G

I made a coment about phone calls, which turned into I am lecturing.... A little dramatic wouldn't you say??? Why don't you take 1 message and assign your own meaning then have a pity party with it. I was talking about phone calls not anyones long wait or the USCIS process. When I say trust the process, I mean the spiritual process. Which ever higher power that may be for you and yours. If you have none, then run around and be bitter and angry about the USCIS's process. You said trust THEIR process...not God's process or a "spiritual" process.
Yeah, we have pity parties every week. It's called the "NO touches NO approvals" thread. Sorry you weren't invited, but it's only for us bitter and angry people running around like a bunch of Godless animals.

Congrats, Sanket. Well deserved, real happy for ya.

Lisa/Narnia..
Hey ladies, I hope you are holding out well. Mojo to both of you, you make me smile at a time when smiles are hard to come by.
Mood is not good now. I am happy that I will see Natasha soon, but our government is of no help for me to see her. It is quite ironic that, a government that the US condemns (Belarus), they will provide me a visa to see her in a matter of days, and have offered me a visa to become a permanent resident of that country, but the United States, the "greatest nation in the world", will not let my 5 foot, 110 pound wife into this country in anything less than 9 months, or maybe a year, because of "national security" interests.
Sometimes, it makes you wonder if what the rest of world complains about our country, is true.
Who are the free countries, and who are not. It makes you wonder.
I will be in touch.
Lots o'love, and best wishes, ladies. Keep the faith.
CJ-G
Here is what my gut is telling me.Desi is next from our group to get approved. I think it'll be before the new year.
I think Monica/Isha will get an approval in December.
Where is SraCastillo? I forgot when her NOA1 is...she's also coming up, I think.
CJ gator I think will come in January.
Lisa, I think you'll be in late January.
I think mine will come in mid February.
Antiwaiting, something tells me you will be in between Lisa and I somewhere.
Mahitab, sorry sweetie, but I think you might hear something in May.
Who else am I forgetting???
-
It's easy for you to make that comment because you were approved in 2 months. Don't lecture the people who are venting because they are at six, seven, eight, nine, or ten months, just because you got a lucky break. Have sympathy for them, and remain quiet.
Lets play a little devil advocate. 40500, called yesterday too to see if their petition is approved that they sent out two months ago. If people would be patient and trust the process they could spend that money on more adjudicators and less operators.
"Additionally, USCIS responds to 41,000 phone inquiries daily"40999 of those requests receive made up answers that further complicate the situation. The other call is a wrong number.
-
Un-freaking believable, Lisa.
But of course, not surprised in the least.
Take care, dear. Thanks for the info.
CJ-G
Oh, it gets even better. You all know I am at 8 and a half months. Well, On Oct. 27 I was allowed to submit a status inquiry request, because my case was at 7 months, and back then, before the processing times moved backwards, I was outside. I was told on multiple occasions to give USCIS up to 45 days to respond, I should receicve something. Well, today was 45 days. I called national, they said they show nothing to indicate that the inquiry has been responded to by Vemont, they told me to call VSC. The VSC agent said she would not look into my case, they are not responsible for the service inquiry requests, I had to deal with national for that. When I told her that national had told me to call VSC, because their info showed no activity from their agents, her response was simply "Sir, I cannot help you any more", and she hung up.I'm seriously considering taking a trip to Vermont, and confronting these people face to face.
CJ-G
CJ,
I put in the inquiry with officer boswell last month, she said..they will tell you where you are and what is taking so long.... i received the response last week
"our comuter system shows your petition is pending" Thanks captain obvious! then the letter went on to say that I could utilize the online system to check status
Its so frustrating! Im pretty defeated at this point, really.

Jen, I was told the same thing too, by my immigration lawyer (6 months). Actually, I was told it could happen as quickly as 4. HA!!
Where your spouse lives has little to do with the speed of processing. Go look at the USCIS posted processing times for the Vermont Service Center for K-3's and I=130's. They are at 8 and 9 months. There are numerous people on this website at this point in time. Again, I think it is great you stay positive, but you have very little chance, based on the VSC trends, of being approved any time before mid to late spring. I'm just trying to help you not get a false sense of hope. Look at the timelines of other who have posted on this thread. See how many of them have timelines longer than you. And see how their spouses are from everywhere in the world.
Long waits do not come from where your spouse is, long waits come from the unfortunate position of being stuck at the Vermont Service Center.
CJ-G
Jen, hi. I understand you've been apart for a year, but from looking at your timeline, it appears that your case has only been in the system about 5 and half months. Am I reading that correctly? Because, we've got people in here whose cases have been "in the system" for 8, 9, and almost 10 months. I happen to be one of those people. Not trying to be a downer, but you've probably got a bit more of a wait on your hands.
CJ-G
Thanks for the update Monica!Yeah, I told my husband that I think we'll hear something from them in February, if they don't end up doing name checks or something like that. My birthday and our legal marriage anniversary is in February (same day, awww... LOL), so that would be a great gift!
I just know VSC is gonna give me the best gift for my birthday EVER! Cause I love them so much! How can they not love me back???
My one year anniversary was November 30th. I was in Costa RIca with my husband. I was hoping I had some good news to tell him when I was there with him.... but NOTHING !!! The waiting is killing us. I am assuming the approvals will slow down this month due to the holiday since everyone is taking vacation time to be with thier families. What about our families??? We are all separated from our spouses because we are waiting on them !!! This is so frustrating !!!!!
I was told by the immigration attorney that in his recent experience, approvals takes about 6 months. He is a decent lawyer. I think it depends on the country of the beneficiary. He told me he is working with a family from the Middle East and they have been waiting for to be approved for almost 2 years. He said they just keep asking for additional information from this poor guy. He told me it is a good sign that they haven't asked us for anything more.
I am trying to stay positive.

Honey, if their promise is to "mislead, confuse, and continually disappoint" all of the US taxpaying customers who ask for competent service from this agency, then it is a job well done.

I like your optimism, but I would not hold my breath on this one. I was telling a few people in another K3 thread that my imm. attorney called me yesterday, he knows a couple of the agents up at VSC, and they told him that it was not likely they would be through the March K3's by the end of the month. He said his bets are that the processing times do not move to April.
Of course I hope he's wrong, but seeing how I'm rapidly approaching 8 and a half months with nothing to show for it, my sense of optimism is in full cardiac arrest now. I'm betting on my wife's approval coming in early January.
CJ-G
its that time of the month again...in about a week - ten days, USCIS will release its monthly processing times. even though we all know that its a bunch of BS, i put my money on VSC dates changing to an April date for I-130 and change back to 6 months for K3...what do you guys think? -
Sanku, to answer the other question you asked me, my atty said he believes the problem comes from the fact that Vermont has not recovered from having applications that used to go to the Texas Service Center being moved to Vermont at the beginning of this year. He said it was just his speculation.
CJ Gator, Thanks for this insight. I wish my lawyer had this kind of information for me, perhaps would have stayed with her.Was your attorney able to give any clear explanation as to why it's been taking so long? Is there anything else besides simply too many applications versus too little manpower?
Also has anybody a clue as to why K-3 visa petitions and the accompanying I-130s are not being transfered to CSC like the stand-alone I-130's? Or why I-129F's and I-130's for K-3 are not being processed separately?
I understand these are difficult questions to answer but if anyone knows anything about it I'm all ears.
CJ Gator, can you tell me where I can find the estimates that you're referring to, those you made a few weeks ago, or can you repeat them? I am a late March filer for I-130 and early April for I-129F.
Thanks!
You always make me laugh, Lisa.

Hey Lisa:
Yeah, I got a snail mail letter from USCIS today, but it wasn't anything worth doing cartwheels over. It was that same dam* form letter that you got, regarding my status request back in late October. The letter was dated last Wed. (12/16), and it reads:
The stauts of your service request is:
Our computer systems show that your petition I-129F is still pending service consideration. For future status inquiries of a petition, you may want to utilze Case Status Online at www.uscis.gov.
If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at !-800-375-5283.
Our tax dollars at work. F-ing amazing.
I saw on another website this weekend where a group of lawyers from AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) is trying to push for a meeting, or at least a teleconference, with the VSC liaison to find out out what the h*ll is going on up there with the processing.
I'm starting to think my projection of mid-January for me might be a little optimistic.
But hey, there's always skype, right??
Take it easy. I'll be in touch.
