6:15 am Arrived at the US Embassy.

Presented my Appointment Letter to the Guard and told me to go to GATE 2

    Bags being checked

    Headed to Immigrant Visa Section

Guard asked me my time schedule and told me to join and sit beside those who are scheduled at 8:30am

    PROCEDURES:

    STEP 1 Ticket booth

STEP 2 Finger Scanning (WINDOW 16)

    STEP 3 Pre Screener

    STEP 4 Consul

6:45 am Guard told us to fall in line at the Ticket Booth

The Lady asked for our Appointment Letter and took it

Gave me a Ticket number and Air21 Shipment Information Slip given

Ticket number: 5015 for me and 5016 for my son

Waited for my name to be called / number flashed on the board for Finger Scanning. Waited for sooooo long. It was already 8:30 but my name is not yet called. Fall in line at Window 16 to asked and checked if I was already called. Presented her my number. The Lady told me that our folders is not yet with her. Sit and waited again. It was already 9:30am and I haven’t heard my name yet. Went to Window 16, fall in line for the second time. Showed her my number. And again the lady told me that its not yet with her. I’m so nervous at this time thinking of what happened to our papers. Asked the guard why is it that my name is haven’t called yet. He told me that maybe because there is a problem with your papers. I’m soooo worried of what the guard told me :( . I asked another Lady, the Lady assisting people to the consul room. Asked her why is it that my name is haven’t called yet. Its already 10am. She was so nice because she took a follow up why my name is not yet called. After 5 mins of her follow up. At last I heard my name. The lady in Window 16 told me that my name is already called awhile ago. HUH? Haven’t noticed that I was already called maybe because my attention is divided into two. Oopppsss! Three rather,,,my son which is playing with other kids, my number to be called, my number to be flashed at the board. Be sure to listen attentively and don’t answer yet your AIR21 Shipment Slip to get really focused in listening for your name to be called.

Sit and Waited for my number to be flashed for Pre-Screening

    PRE-SCREENING:

Greeted the Pre-Screener. I was so lucky because my pre-screener is so nice of me and my son. He asked me if I have a CENOMAR. I hand it to him. He let me signed part 2 of the DS230. My son’s DS230 and my DS230.

He also asked me on What is the Economic status in Hawaii right now?

  8. Hi to all members of VJ.. smile.gif

I am just very anxious about my coming medical examination although I don't know yet when will be the real date since we already got approved last 25 feb.. I am looking for some people that can give me answers about my worries in medical especially those Filipina that had same experienced I am having now.. I am really worried if having a history of tuberculosis will be caused of our problem with my fiancee during my medical examination soon.. We got all the supporting documents to prove that I am fine now..

Is this really enough for me to pass the medical examination on my X-rays?

In addition my fiance took a skin test last January this year and the result was NEGATIVE, do you think this will also help me pass my medical?

Please, I would love and very happy to hear from someone that will heartily give their advices and answers to my concern smile.gif

    sincerely,

    Beaumench

hi beaumench! thank you for your greetings. :) I know how you feel...Just bring all those records you have on the day of your medical so the doctors could see that the results were negative. There are applicants/patients I have talked to that day of my medical and they brought their xray with them and all other tests that they had before to show they are free from those illnesses and their medical went fine. Prayers is very powerful and the love you have for your partner. Good luck to you!Keep us posted. Try to read my experience on first day and second day. Do not go there on monday, coz it is really jampacked.

    God bless!

    xoxo,

    jeel

  9. Thank God I am finally done with the medical. I just can't express how happy and grateful I am right now. My fiance knows how stressed I was because of the medical, coz I am a nosocomephobic ( fear of hospital ). All my prayers were answered. Thank you St.Anthony, he is truly a miracle saint. My first day took me 10 freaking hours at SLEC, my second day only took me an hour:dance: I was scheduled to go back March 6 for the release of results and for vaccination at 9 am. I arrived around 9:15, i presented my passport and receipt to the guard inside the clinic. He checked on my name at the computer. This is where you will know if you pass or not. If you pass, you will be asked to go to 2nd floor for immunization, if not you may be directed to a doctor and the findings will be discussed to you with the necessary medications. I was very anxious while the guard is checking on my name, i was praying....til he said " proceed to 2nd floor for immunization." Finally i was able to breathe and smile :D:dance: I went straight at 2nd floor, gave my passport and receipt again at the guard in front near the immunization room and waited til my name be called. After 5mins, I was called and told to proceed at the Check Out Counter 2nd floor, just beside the guard. I didn't expect to be called right away but i am thankful! I was surprised when the guy who is checking on my papers said " isn't it that you are a professor in FEU?" FEU is where I used to work way back 2004. He said he is a graduate of that university and his course is Psychology, and I was under the Psychology Department. Cool, isn't it? He was able to recognized me. He asked for 2 pics ( 2x2 ) with names at the back. I suggest write your name and case number and even the type of visa the night before you go back at the clinic. I was told to wait for my name to be called at the immunization room. After 15mins, i was called...The nurse is very accomodating, so nice that she talks to me, making me feel relax. I was given shots at both thighs instead on my arms since i got keloids on it. Good thing I was wearing a doll dress. After the shots was given, I felt so relieved. I was so thankful to the nurse for that little talk we had before the shots was given. God is so good to me. He knows how i fear doctors/nurses and He gave me wonderful doctors/nurses who treated me kindly. And then I proceeded at ground floor for the release of the medical results. Again, I didn't wait much, after 20mins I guess ,I was called.Pretty fast! I was thinking maybe because I waited so much on my first day and now things are faster and easier on second day. Someone I met on my first day, she had her vaccinations yesterday and she arrived at 4:30am, her schedule is 9am. She was the first to be given vaccines and yet she waited 2 hours for the release of the results. I suggest you follow the schedule given to you for the second day. I won't advise you to go there that early. Just be at the clinic on time, I am talking about the second day of medical. B) On my first day, I learned it would be better if i went at the clinic around 10am or even after lunch. AND never go on Monday, it is totally JAMPACKED. I suggest you go there on FRIDAYS, less people, lot faster processing.....

For those who will have their medical, good luck guys! PRAY HARD, that's all I did and the whole time I was thinking of the reason why I am there....it is because of the LOVE i have for my Joseph....Despite my fear of hospital, I face it. If it is the only way to be with the love of my life, then I will be very willing to do everything just to be with him...... (L)

I am looking forward to the last step.....INTERVIEW! Set on March 19, thursday, Feast of St.Joseph  .

Thank you to all VJ peeps! thank you for your support and all the help!

    GOD bless us all!

Still good that I dont have any idea about day2 on medical day, I dont have any worries that il not pass...i was so confident then when I askde the one in charge about my immunization. The only thing that made me worry on that evening was I was not given sputum test lol, as I thought that it was part of check up...I was even worried that they might forgot to gave that test to me so I asked the guard if they might forgot only bcoz i dont like to be back again esp that my place is hundred miles away from Mla...and he laughed hehe.

Good Luck on your interview...Interview is so easy just for formality, be as u r, and everything will be alright. God Bless and congrats for d approved medical.

hehe. Thanks a lot!COngratulations to you too!:)

  10. If you pass, you will be asked to go to 2nd floor for immunization, if not you may be directed to a doctor and the findings will be discussed to you with the necessary medications. hi ana!i have to go back on friday for my vaccination, since sa 19 pa naman ang interview ko so no need to rush daw. I prefer to have it the following day too if ako masusunod. At least i wont fret about waiting til friday to know the results you know....When is your interview ana? I will be back on friday at st.lukes at 9am. how was your experience sa medical?what time did you arrive at the hospital? grabe tagal ko dun nung monday...imagine i was there at 5am and finished around 4 i think...Ang nagpatagal is yun pag hintay sa immunization interview, ang dami kase as in....pero if not for that i should have finished earlier like past 12 noon.... San ka nga pala pupunta? My fiance is from New Jersey.Hit me back ana....good luck to your interview!God bless!

hello Jeel, anyway I passed my medical today and they took my passport..

yesterday I arrived around 10:30 am inside the clinic. and was out around 4 pm,matagal din and nakakapagod umupo at magantay hehe..ang matagal is yung sa Physical Exam, grabe halos inantok ako dun sa kakaantay marinig name ko,hehe.

sa Monday na kasi interview ko sis kaya siguro I was told yesterday to go back today, and I'm glad because the results we're good and they told me they will forward everything and my passport at the US Embassy..

My Fiance is from Texas,.anyway sis, goodluck sa atin and keep me updated..

    _Ana

yes sis, kaya tomorrow pa immunization ko it's because sa 19 pa naman daw interview ko.Inuna nila yung mga may interview na sched this week and those earlier than me.:) Mabilis lang Physical exam ko even the waiting, ang matagal sa akin is yung pag hintay sa immunization interview grabeeeeeeeee tagal ang dami kaseng tao nung monday e. Dapat around 12noon tapos na ako e pero dahil dun nakatapos ako mga past 3 pm na.grabe di ba?haaay....Yes keep in touch tayo...I wish you all luck sis!

  12. I made an appointment for the medical exam. Since I don't ever go to doctors, I'm actually really nervous! I've been googling about the medical exam, and it seems like you have to take off your clothes! Does that mean you have to be completely naked in front of the doctor? If someone could post their experience of the medical exam, I'd really appreciate it!

yes,you will have to take off your clothes. You will be wearing a robe while you are being checked...Please read my posting about my medical experience.:) you will be fine...

  13. My son and I will have our medical next week and our interview the following week. Can a relative accompny me on those times? I'm 32 weeks pregnant and it would be difficult for me to handle my toddler on my situation. What should my relative present to be admitted inside the premises?

Also my future father in law who is an American citizen will also accompany me during my interview since he will be around because he will accompany his mother back in the country. He is also my fiance's co sponsor in the petition. Will it be okay if we have 2 chaperon inside the USEM? One for interview purposes and another to assist me with my son.(Since lolo and grandson don't get along well since they live in 2 different continents. hehe!)

I hope they will allow us.

I think you can have a chaperon for your medical. Medical in st.luke's is really jampacked. The only people they allowed for chaperons are those elders, disabled or kids. It is always a case to case basis, and yours is too obvious and they will be considerate for you.:)

I am not just sure at the interview, i know they are very strict at the embassy.

  14. Physical Exam is not that bad. If there is one thing that scares me bfore the medical exam it's the P.E. Who wants to get undress?body seen by someone you dont know hehehe. Good thing is female doctor will be given to all female patients. Nothing to fret! You will be asked to wear robe anyway.

Can't be worse than annual gynecologist exams! I'll spare the details...

hehe:)my very first papsmear was done by my gynecologist friend Kathreen and at first i was shy hahahaha. I think i am fine with it. :)

    goodbless you.everything will be ok.

thanks rose and corey! hey i am from bulacan....

hi..i just wanted to know that during the medical examination you will undergoe papsmear too?

no. :) papsmear is not part of the medical. i was just saying im fine with gyne exams.:)

  15. hi Jeel,, I just want to ask why you have to go back on Friday pa??do you know why??

  16. Done with my medical exam.:dance: They told me they will forward the result to USEM, day of my interview :thumbs:

congratulations!!!you are now head on to the last step...INTERVIEW!and you will be set to fly soon....good luck to your interview!God bless!!!

  17. Finally I am done with my medical...almost. coz i still have to go back on friday March 6 for the vaccination and the results. I arrived at St.Luke's 4:30am and i was number 62 in the line outside the hospital. I finished around quarter to four in the afternoon. The immunization interview part was the longest part of waiting for your turn. Gosh! That was the last thing to do and you are done on your first day of medical exam.I should have finished after lunch only if the papers are not piled up and only if there were enough doctors to handle the interview for immunization. Ay yay yay! Lucky that everyone I met were nice, Thank God there was no mean employees that I have encountered.Doctors were nice and very accomodating. Prayers answered on that note. The part that was painful for me is the blood extraction, my right arm is sored and got bruised. I am afraid of big needles.

What i learned from that medical experience is that you really should just go there alone, no chaperon or something. My pops keeps on insisting to accompany me for my medical but i told him il be fine. Chaperons are not allowed except for elders, disabled or for the kids.Space is limited, and if you have chaperons they will wait outside the building. 2. FOOD is not allowed inside.Bags will be checked before entering if come there around 8. I got my sandwiches with me on my bag but im telling you, i was not able to eat it at all because you will be listening attentively for your name to be called and at the same time chatting with the people around you at least to kill boredom. 3.Bring water, jacket with you coz it's kinda cold inside although i forgot to bring one but because there are lot of people,i didnt feel the aircon that much.

For those who have questions regarding my medical exam experience, feel free to send me message. I haven't written everything here,i'm really tired.I thought writing a little of it would give you an idea of what the medical exam will be in st.luke's/

I will be back on friday for the vaccination.March 6. I am hoping and praying for good results of the exam. I hope and pray i pass.

    GOod luck to you guys!

Thank you to all VJ people who were very nice in helping me out with this medical thing.THank you for all the informations and the tips. Thanks to LUDY for her big help, salamat ng madami sis!GOd bless you!

You will be ok, coz just like what they told me when they asked u to come back for immunization everything is fine. It only took me less than 7 hours to get done, not lots of peps.

OMG!7 hours just for the immunization???oh no! yesterday it took me 10 hours for all the exam, i was thinking when i come back on friday since il just have my immunization,it will be pretty fast...:( ay yay yay....i was told to go at 9am. Should i go earlier?
