Thank You for updating for me first of all...I have a question, on my N-400 I requested a name change (back to my maiden name, which my children still have and my husband will change his to when this is over) roughly how much time will that add to my over all time frame for Citizenship?. Thank You all in advance.

I actually don't think that this would affect the time frame for your citizenship, from reading previous threads it seems like all they do is confirm your name change and the spelling of the new name at the time of the interview. but again i'm sure someone who has had the same experience would be able to better answer your question.

Thanks for asking. I finally received the returned package from USCIS on 12/11/2010. I prepared everything again with the correct check amount and resent it on Monday (12/13). It was received on 12/14 at 11:38 AM by the same person (as before). One good thing USCIS did was that they has sent a green paper asking me to put it on top of the application and they will process it with priority. Not sure how true it is but it certainly makes you content Can you please update me? I appreciate the great work you have been doing

DC Sparrow, you didn't give out any information about when your checks were cashed or your NOA. so what is it exactly that you want to be updated on your case??????. when the USCIS cashes your check that will be the next update but all the information you gave was tha you sent the package and the package was delivered. anyway it's up to you, i can take you off the list. please let me know if you want that

ok got a question, I finally got a chance to really look at my letter, and I just want to check it is what I think it is.

It says

"The above application has been recieved by our office and is in process. Our records indicate your personal information is as follows:

D O B: xxxxxxxx

Address where you live: xxxxxxxxxxx

Please verify your personal information listed above and immediately notify our office at the address or phone number listed below if there are any changes.

Upon reciept of all record checks, you will be scheduled to apear for an interview at your local USCIS field office.

Is this an RFI ? or just because we moved house fairly recently ( yes I informed them )

Also I am assuming since I had my biometrics done around this time last year they are not sending me again...maybe...will this make the process faster?

i got the same notice and it says the same thing. this is just the standard receipt that notifies you that they received the application and the money and giving you a chance to review your information and make sure all is correct. there should be another NOA regarding the ASC fingerprint appointment. good luck to all
