Thank You Safroot, now since I am already over my 3 years can you give me any info on the walk in FP? is there somewhere closer than the Bronx? the appointment is 8am ( means I have to leave here by around 4.30/5 am and daughter would have to miss a day of school, so if there is somewhere closer that I can get to that would be wonderfull.
if you are over the 3 years since your permanent residence date, then i think you will be ok doing a walk in especially that your Biometrics date is far and you filed on Dec 1st. that's from my experience reading a lot of posts from other VJ users who did an early biometrics and it didn't affect their application again as long as you are over the 3 years residency. Regarding the biometrics location, if i were you i would go to the one nearby to your location and try to do a walk in there, that way you will have nothing to loose and if they say that you have to do it at the location stated in the NOA, then at least you tried and you know that you have to go there. Again that's just my opinion and that's what i would do and it's not based on any experience or any professional advice

Safroot , Do we have any data saying that doing walkin has any effect on processing time, i am asking coz i tried hard to look for it but was unlucky.

To be honest, no i don't have any data. i'm just assuming, i always like to be on the safe side with USCIS. it seems like it works with a lot of people when they do an early biometrics walk in, but my concept is why take a chance?!!!! so yea hope that explains my theory :-)

My wife and I are applying together, so I'm probably going to stick to the date on the notice. Do you know if kids are allowed at the biometrics and interview appointments?
From what i saw when i went to get my biometrics done,there was a couple who had their son with them. so i think it's ok to take the kids to the biometrics, i don't know about the interview. hope that helps

To be honest, i think that unless the biometrics appointment is like really late, i would just stick with the appointment they give out. because what if you do your biometrics early and then you get an early interview before your 3 year or 5 year anniversary?!!! then you would have to wait to get approved. so i think you should stick with what they give you. that's just my opinion

On January 7, 2011, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Ok, so did I mention I get crazy when dealing with USCIS? LOL...now I'm freaking out because everyone is getting fingerprint letters and I have not heard a word, am I the only one who turns into a paranoid schizophrenic when dealing with USCIS ? is this because I requested a name change back to my maiden name? or perhaps because as I just realised today that where it asks for my childrens full names I put only thier first names and not surname?
Don't worry darklady109, i'm sure if it was a problem with your children's name they would have returned your application package for you to correct. so i think this is related to the weather conditions over there in NY or may be the local office they are trying to schedule you in for FP didn't have appointments. just hang in there and hopefully you will get something soon

I got bit confused about your comment about 3-year green card anniversary. Is it possible to apply for US citizenship before 3-year residence in US is complete? I thought we had to wait for at 3 years and then only apply for the citizenship.
you apply 90 days before the 3rd year anniversary of the green card. so in case of Mi & Mo they got the interview date before that 3rd year anniversary day so that's why i asked this question. check out the thread they put titled Interview Experience in San Francisco, CA for more clarification.

I had my interview today and it was a piece of cake. My green card 3rd anniversary is only next week so I'll have to wait for a couple of weeks until they schedule my oath ceremony.
I'm glad our journey is almost over.

First of all congratulations on passing you interview and i hope you get the Oath letter soon. i just had a question, you mentioned that you got your interview date before the 3rd anniversary of your green card, so did the IO approve you right away? or did he/ she said that they will have to wait until your anniversary to approve you and then send the Oath letter?
Please let me know because i'm applying in San Francisco, CA as well and was just thinking if they schedule my interview before my green card anniversary.
