  1. Interview is technically "later" at 10:30am and I am still awake. Being highly OC when it comes to paperwork especially with immigration, I am checking an double checking. I will let y'all know and post a review as soon as I am able to. Louisville office is roughly 35 minutes away from me so the travel is not that bad. Prayers and positive vibes needed!

  2. My wife passed her interview today morning at the Raleigh/Durham, NC office.

We were in and out in about 55 minutes: arrived 15 minutes early, but then waited almost 35 minutes to be called.

Interview itself took 15-17 minutes. She's got N-652 form with "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval" checked.

According to the IO, she should get her oath letter in 2-3 weeks with oath date no later than late August. We'll see.

The only document the IO requested during the interview was 2012 tax return (she has not submitted it with her form because we have not filed taxes at the time of N-400 submission yet).

My wife gave him 2012 tax transcript to keep and that was sufficient.

Congrats!!! Things are moving along now! I am so pumped up and nervous at the same time. *happy dance*

  3. Brsko - the immigrant from the Philippines comment was not necessary and highly insulting to a Filipina like me. It is not a matter of fortune to marry an American citizen. It just happens that the man I want to spend the rest of my life with is an American. I didn't dream - even once - and aspire to be here. Things just happen. I find the comment about illegals unfortunately agreeable - maybe not put in the most sensitive and appropriate manner but true. I work hard, pay my share of the taxes and I see people I would love to help still having a hard time because the taxes I paid is given out to people who rely on welfare. I entered here legally and feel like I am treated second class when I need to deal with immigrations and savings bled dry. No, it is not fair. I understand her sentiments. I am not trying to start a fight but we all should rethink statements before we make them.

  4. They still haven't taken my money. Maybe I get a free N400 laughing.gif The NOA1 though says that the balance due is $0.00 I think my kind bank manager must have sent them the cash out of his personal account dancin5hr.gif

Well, it really depends on your bank - they may have different posting and check clearing scheduled. Nevertheless, USCIS has your money or they would not have given you a NOA. Happy dance time!

  5. YAY! Now, I know most likely our timelines will match all the way...except maybe the interview & oath as Atlanta office is super busy!!

I have never been happier to see my check cashed and my money taken headbonk.gif

I hear ya about the check being cashed part. I am so ready to get everything over and done with... But then, there is the part where I want to bring my parents here... so...

The Local Office being busy may work in your favor. I know they process oath-taking by batches, so if they are busy then most likely your oath-taking will move on ahead of me. Whatever the case may be, I am glad this is moving forward. :D

  6. Thank you for adding me to the tracker! I am so excited and anxious at the same time. Please tell me I am not the only one who feels this way every time I have to deal with immigration: I triple check my documents and packet and triple check it again before mailing it and somehow I have this feeling at the pit of my stomach that I forgot something and then it was all ok. Anyone else feeling this way? :S

  7. Hi everyone! I am trying to download the form but it is not downloading, saying that I may have the old version. I have already updated it and it is still not downloading. Is this link broken? Can someone send me the most updated form, please? Thanks a lot!
