I flew to Ontario from Washington State after Chris' father called me to tell me that Chris had been hit by a car while crossing the street. When I arrived, I found Chris laying in a coma in a hospital bed in ICU with a black eye and brain damage so severe that his head was swelling. The hospital told us that he would not recover and it was only a matter of time. Later that night, his parents decided to cut his life support and he died within a few hours.

I hadn't seen Chris since November. He always said, "we'll see each other soon enough... why waste the money?"

I know this whole process of waiting sucks, but... be grateful that you have someone to wait for, because it could be gone just like that.

I'll be gone from VJ for a while, but... part of me wants to become some sort of immigration activist. So, we'll see.

Hey guys I am in the US of A now. With my fiance. I am so happy. My trip was quite adventurous as my plane got delayed for an hour and I only had 2 hours to board my next plane in Hawaii (my POE) to my final destination. I had to go through the immigration and customs in Hawaii as it was my POE. I only had an hour to board my next plane. I had to run. I'm so happy I chose Hawaii as my POE because there was hardly anyone in the immigration. I had everything done in 20 minutes with the immigration and customs. Whew!

That was really close! Congratulations on making it - now enjoy

Can anyone help me with the preparation of our new affidavit of support please? I am slightly confused.

When we filed for the K1 visa my SO was employed and he earnt over the poverty amount so the filing of the affidavit was easy. He has now been made redundant (laid off) and so his income is obviously much less. He does own his own house though, so as this is an asset can he still file the affidavit or do we need to find a co-sponsor? I am panicking, we have got so far down the re-location road, my son has started school, I have got my SSN I DONT WANT TO HAVE TO GO BACK!!!

LAWYERS will not follow up for you anymore after interview, I learned that! but hey I have established a contact in the embassy and I follow up directly with the NBI which is what allowed me to get my case moving and not IDLE. I learned you cannot just sit and wait, you have to pressure them to show them that someone DEMANDS status, not want but DEMAND.

Why demand? As an American Citizen it is your right!

Anyways I am just being patient and strong as always. WISH US LUCK and I will still nee dyour prayers!

Im sorry for being gone for so long, I will try to visit as much as I can.

Got word from Andy that everything went smoothly. Only snag was they need my father's birth certificate or passport faxed to them to prove he's a citizen for the co-sponsor affidavit. With how things have been with my parents, I have to hope that it won't pose a problem. I guess I'll find out in a day or two. Anyway, Andy will be home in a few hours, so I'll have to wait till later to post his review.
