It is good Gemmie Reading the Shadow Rising at the moment, 4th book in the series the wheel of time by robert jordan. Chris gave me a copy of his favorite book (the first one in the series) for my 20th bday, have to admit that i have become addicted lol.

See I as fairly sure the pertitioner had to fill in a form that looked at the tax details over the last so many years as well as all the other junk to prove that they made enough money consistantly, I remember Chris mentioning that he had to get copies of his tax returns.....

Employement Authorization Document, basically until you get a green card, it allows you to work, and is part of the Adjustment Of Status (AOS) that you do once you are married, it can be applied for seperately instead of as part of AOS but that rarely makes sense and costs more than doing it all at once.

Hi everyone! I am an August filer too, but have been in the July forum as my NoA1 date was 8th August so close to July.

I have read your threads, all very cheery and helpful .......but am at a loss as to what an EAD is :$

It is so great to see everyone being so actively supportive here. I am so glad that I happened onto VJ so early on in my 'journey'

A lot of June filers who recieved their noa1 at around the 20th or so of june are recieving their noa2s!!! This is exciting...it is getting closer to us. And im moving up fast on the igors list for VSC! Man I shouldnt get my hopes up to fast but I have been waiting for this day and as it gets closer it gets harder but more exciting to wait! anywayz just wanted to leave a quick note!

It is getting more 'real' isnt it? We have started getting some proof of our wedding plans too I am so excited when we move up Igors list as well, so know where you are coming from. It helps to see something moving when you cant see where you are in line on USCIS.

Well I am shooting for Johny coming home in february...even the end because I dont want to get my hopes up of him coming even sooner. But Im telling you i would be ecstatic if he came home in January even by my daugthers birthday. She wants him to come home by then. Its nice having someone that treats a child that isnt even his like his own. HE always asks how is daughter is doing... this waiting is killing me though....I was so happy when he was in america and i met him and now im never happy...Im sure u can all understand. I just want the time to fly by.

I can fully understand. Bryan is so great with my son, he is the dad that my son never had. We are so great as a family. We just HAVE to manage, there is no other option. Keep focusing on the day when you can have him back with you, how wonderful your life will be and how all of this will disappear amongst happy memories of the future. Remember this is worth a lifetime of happiness....thats what you are working for. C'mon girl......you can do this!!!!!!!

Can anyone from the UK tell me if I have to do a police check on my 10 year old son in addition to as myself? I am thinking of getting these done while I wait but dont want to get one done and then have to apply for the other. The certificate lasts `12 months apparently. Any help on this would be greatfully received thanks

OMG ! I'm so depressed... And I'm in the US ! I leave in 3 days and I won't see my man before the end of november. I know that you guys didn't see your loves for a long time but I can't imagine to be without him. These next 3 days will be so sad, cuz' we are so sad that I have to leave...

It is absolutely horrid, we all understand that, and we all feel for you. Sometimes the last few days are the toughest because you know what is coming but want desparately to cling on to what you have. I know its difficult, but try and enjoy the last few hours, ignore the clock and spend some quality time together. Parting will hurt, but it will no matter what you do these last few days, so may as well enjoy it dont you think?

We will all be here after you part, to help you through..........

As aubrey says, its good to focus on getting sorted and the paperwork......end of november will soon be here, keeping busy helps keep your mind off of the distance and will pass the time.

I also filed on July 3rd. I’m waiting on NO2. It’s very frustrating and worrying having to wait a long time to hear back from them. Any of you know how to long it usually takes to hear back from them? I also hired this Lawyer on the Internet who told me to send everything all together, including the g325 bio forms. Was the correct? I sent pictures and evidence all together in one packet. I’m afraid I did it wrong….. and the lawyer was has no clue what he is talking about….

I hope so because I sent our G-325 bio forms. If they need them again, I will send them again I would rather make sure I have covered all eventuallities

They are records of your tax returns in the USA, the nice things is that if you have them, you dont need to track down your W2s and everything is in one place. If you have all of your records with respect to income, you should be fine.

It's good to see some nice things happening. Had a small heart attack when the tax transcripts showed up today...I had forgotten about them and mail from the IRS is usually bad. November is only a few weeks away...

Speaking about tax transcripts, how long did it take you to get them? I ordered mine more than a month ago and still haven't received anything. Not sure if it's a normal waiting period or not.

Don't you only need tax transcripts if you are self employed? I wasn't thinking of including those...

Are tax transcripts just tax records? My Fiance has copies of his tax records already, is this enough or do we need these too please?

I was all sorted and knew what I needed, but I think my brain has gone to mush coz I cant locate where I put it. Can you please outline what is needed? I am having such a hard time being away from my man (as everyone must be, being away from the most important person in their life) sorting this may help.

Each consulate has different requirements. Check out the Embassy reviews section at the top and find your country's embassy link. Often they list what documents you'll need before your interview on their individual website (and you can find the link there along with other helpful info). I hope that helps!

Yeah, I had Andreas start gathering all the paperwork on his end (birth cert., military records, etc) so all he'll have left is to receive some stuff from me/my folks and his medical. I have to start gathering the doc's for the sponsor/co-sponsor stuff still. Not much I can get ahead on with it, since they want pretty current documents for that.

still have the adjudication showing as early November? Does that mean when we're expected to receive NOA2?

Anyone have any ideas as to what will be needed in the next stage? Just wondering if i can start getting bits together to speed everything up...ever hopeful!

I'm still hoping for approval by Christmas as i'm all packed and ready to roll...

My US fiance filed for us on 16th July 2008 and he received his letter on 8th August. So now just waiting to hear more like the rest of you.
