  1. Thanks for the breakdown! Everytime I try to research timelines I get very confused and frustrated trying to figure them out. I'm sure that they have so many slots for interviews per month for I130's and so many for K1's...etc. I hope and pray for a call/email at the end of the month. Hopefully some of us will have the same day...and then we could meet for a celebatory drink in Montreal the night before!!! Thanks for all the helpful tips!!

By the way, where is everyone moving to in the US after receiving GC?? And where in Canada is everyone from? (Hamilton, Ontario here)

I am going to Delaware. (Dover to be specific)

Mississauga, ON - Orange County, CA

I hope we get scheduled for an interview this month as Trailmix noted they do schedule well into the 3 week.

  2. Hello!! Wifey passed her written test!! Now its time for bumper cars!!!

Lisa - I agree, #######!!! I called the mis-information line yesterday and was told to add the 8 weeks to the 30 days my wife has been waiting for her GC, and to call back after that period. You should call USCIS and go to the section about getting information on forms and ask them where you should mail the EAD!!! And this time when you send it, quote the agent# on the cover letter.

Seren - On the bright side, you get to hang out at Laguna beach!!!

What is everyone else up to? I have a b-day party and a wedding reception to go to this weekend!!! Never a dull weekend during the summer.

Congrats to Queue's wife now on to some road training...Queue If she has driven in India she can drive anywhere :)

Lol...so Y is going to have the fun we have been having for the past year!! They wouldn't give me any information when I called about my wife's gc unless she was on the phone with me. I had to call back, and the weird thing is that I can't get to a operator without going through the address change option. Do you have another way?

I usually use the address change way, but I accidentally got through this last time... honestly, i dont know lol i started inputting our receipt number too early and it transfered me to a human! He asked me if I had made an appointment. ??? He was super helpful and also told me that no matter what option gets you to a human, they all can help you.

Yazied did call and the lady said to do whatever the notice says(mail it to TSC). I told him to call back and ask for a supervisor.

wait: newsflash--he says that VSC said they rejected the application and to send it to TSC.

    Funtimes

VSC is so $crewed up...poor Y now he has to deal with all this BS

  3. We got a NOA1, and it says its pending online. BUT, they sent the whole packet back INCLUDING the check and advised to mail it to TSC.

calling them now. Im so fvcking annoyed!

    ####### :ranting:

seriously #######!? instructions say CSC, link says VSC and now Vermont gives us a fvcking NOA1 but sends everything back and tells us to send it to TSC?!?! Jesus H guys! Of course Im getting everything read to me over the phone from Y, so I have to read it all carefully when I get home. I called and the automated line says "received and pending". Online says its at VSC. WOW is all I can say about this sh!t. just WOW.

I guess I'll be mailing the GD packet out AGAIN on Monday.

Can VSC every get their $hit together???!!! OR do you think it's US. I am begining to wonder

Y must be so irritated, he must be icthing to work like me and getting impatient.

  4. Steve, I know it's terribly difficult. Do you need some karma stars? I'm sure I have some left over from when GS was here. Want me to pull them out for you??? Sounds like my husband before he got here. Working all these hours that are humanly impossible. I guess the positive thing is that you have less than a month before the ladies get here. So hopefully that will give you the energy you need to keep going! I'm wishing the best for you. Here you go... :star::star::star:

Lisa, our check was cashed awhile ago. I'm not sure what's going on. To tell you the truth, I'm not checking like crazy and driving myself mad over it, like when we were waiting for the NOA2 for our petitions :D

Sarita, I just happened to run into the lawyer which I spoke to 2 years ago when I first got married with my husband (his office is next door to USCIS). The lawyer said the same as Lisa. 2-3 months. He also said that if by some freak situation we don't get it within 90 days then the local USCIS office will issue a temporary work authorization card that can be used until the official one is issued. I thought that was a positive, for once. My husband was a little relieved as he is extremely eager to get back to work.

Que, driving with bumper cars sounds good. That might be a good idea for our K3 get together. Let's all go to an amusement park and put our spouses on bumper cars and go carts

Jen, I'm glad you posted. I miss your posts and your sense of humor.

Sarita, since you're gonna be on tonight maybe we can all get together. What do you all think? I should be good to go. I am only working half a day today so I can get my errands done early. Would you all like to get on around 8-9pm EST? Let me know. Send me a message to my cell. You all should have the number when I sent out texts to you guys.

Wow! I just realized that our 2 year anniversary is less than 3 weeks away!!! Can you believe it??? Okay, need help. What can I possibly do with a hubby that doesn't like movies or dining out??? Any ideas???

How about a romantic spa getaway :) I am so glad your hubby got here in time for the second anniversary. No thanks to USCIS

I was online yesterday but no one was around.....I can try and be online for 8:00PM EST, I have to pick up hubby around 9:00 EST.

I now have to wait till July to find out if I made the August interviews, the only annoying thing is that I am unable to work. :(

I guess there is no point in me applying for EAD as it would take just as long. THANK GOD we decided to go throught with the K3 and thanks to ALL OF YOU for talking me into it :)

    Any plans for the weekend?

  5. Greetings my long lost family :P

Sorry I haven't been around much. I picked up a 3rd job ... yes a 3rd one ... to try and help with plane tickets, etc. Imagine this, I am a bouncer at a sports bar in Denver. Probably hard to picture that ... right? Last Friday, I worked 19 1/2 hours straight, got one hour of sleep, then was up at 4 am to work my 12 hour shift on Saturday ... ugh! Can't do that too much ... I'm not 25 anymore :P

As of right now, we are still shooting for a July 8th return of my girls. Counting down the days ...

    3rd Job!!!!!! {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{STEVE}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

don't work your self to the ground you will need all your energy when the wife is here :P

  6. BAD NEWS AGAIN!!! I called NVC and once again I did not get an interview for July!! I don't know how long I am going to have to wait?? My case was complete on April 24/09. I now have to wait until the 2nd week on July to call and see if I get an interview for August. If the interview is in August, that will be 4 months since completion!!! Is this a typical wait or should I be concerned? Thanks for any replies!!

I called NVC twice this week and have been told that I need to call back next week as they are still scheduling interviews this week. It's tough as hell this waiting. trend on the Canada CR1 interview thread shows the average wait time between case completion and interview date is upwards of 85 days.

Hang in there our time is near....I will keep you posted on my progress.

SomberCat I hope NVC decides to surprise us all with an interview date :)

  7. Just checking the thread as I haven't been around alot - super busy at work!! But WOW! Serendipity!! Happy Belated Congratulations on interview, visa and getting loved 1 here! Hope all is going well with you both (F)

    Good Morning everyone :star:

Hope everyone had a great weekend...

PS: this thread is getting duller by the week :( Let me know if all in favor of still continuing the weekly thread.

Thanks :) and belated congrats to you as well

    :blows kisses at Cnt:

Im so tired today and this day is dragging @ss!!! come on 5.

I spent my day at Laguna beach....oh the joys of being unemployed

  8. Doing fine queue...

We haven't been able to really check out OC as hubby is very busy at his new job...hopefully things should quieten down in a few weeks and then we can hit the surf and the sand :)

I am trying to keep busy as much as I can....but am itching to start working again. I hope NVC schedule a IR1 interview for me this week so that I can be over and done with all the waiting.

I was just mentioning to my hubby how your wife has to wait for GC....If it is not one thing it's another

Does she plan on looking for a job and start working soon? How is she liking NYC...You live in NYC right?

  9. Good Morning everyone....

Howz everyone doing? and what plans for the weekend?

Married life is great now that we are finally together :) We molded right in as if we have been living together forever.

Now I am not so thrilled about being jobless.....but that is a temp situation till I get a IR1 interview date......Still waiting can ya believe that???!!!

I did find a voluntaring opportunity at the local library so that keeps me busy......and oh yea the cooking and cleaning it never seems to end

---- Jen - any updates? are you making a trip to CR for the interview?

  10. Good morning everyone.

I'm finally back to work. I miss you all so much.

How is everyone doing? What is everyone's progress so far?

Hope all is well. I'll check back in later. Tons of catch up due to this unexpected event.

CnT Hope you are doing well....

I am just realising that staying home is no Joke......I am working more than I ever did at my real JOB :P

How is everyone doing? How is everyone's SO adjusting to a new way of life in USA.

  11. Good Morning everyone!!! So its been a month since the wifey has entered the country, she is adjusting fairly well. I'm still waiting on the Greencard, I wonder what the hold up is...

    How are you all doing??

How long does it normally take? Hope you get it soon.

I am sitting tight for now (no AOS)...waiting for NVC to assign an interview date for my IR1 interview. Any idea if I can do my medicals in the US for the interview in Canada?
