  1. This is what we got yesterday in email from Guangzhou Consulate.. after emailing 6 times in the past 2 days.. :star: :star:

    ==============

    Thank you for your email.

    Please advise Mrs. XXXXX to disregard the I-601 waiver form we sent to her

    previously. Her case is ready for issuance now as we have resolved all

    possible ineligibilities for her case. Ms. XXXXX will receive a call-in

    letter from this office within the next two weeks. The call-in letter

    will allow her to return to this office to complete her visa processing.

    Good Luck :)

  2. well, they assigned a new receipt number(pulled from back of the check) with a rec'd date of 7/6/9, so i guess they arent going to use the original receipt date....b@stards! I think I need to fight them lol

    Well I guess we should know better....VSC is a mess

    We sent our AOS packet off on July 1. Haven't received the NOA yet. My brother is going through the same process (adjusting status from H1) and he got his interview date just 2-3 months after he applied ! Hopefully our AOS goes that fast and hopefully without the interview (since we already went through the whole nine yards for K3).

    Wife seems to be adjusting to life in the US pretty well so far - keeping herself busy with improvement projects inside and around the house (it helps that she has professional expertise in architecture and interior decoration). So I get home every evening wondering what new thing she has thought up that day (yesterday it was ripping out all the plants in our flower beds and redoing them along with new edging, mulch and all that stuff). Our local Home Depot and Lowes have just found themselves another loyal (and daily) customer !

    -D

    :)

    Great to hear that she is settling in well Roodee...Good luck with the AOS stuff, do you have to go through VSC for that as well?

  3. hi all,

    hmmmm i guess i dropped the ball on the meeting.. last night I paid a visit to a friend and found out some very interesting info !!!

    I still want to chat with everyone. What about tonight? I don't have everybodies cell number I don't think.

    I have CnT, Wendy, Steve, Lisa and Caroline....

    Gorgeous day in the suburbs of Philly !!!

    Hmmmmm clean the house or sit by the pool????? :whistle:

    Sit by the pool :) Tonight around 9:00PM would work for me :)

  4. Hi, me and hubby got married at the court house last January. I stayed in the US with him from the beginning of Sep 08 to beginning of Mar 09. Since I went back to my home country we always communicate trough the phone twice a day and we also send text msgs to each other, we never use messenger or email for communication. We used to chat trough messenger back then, before I went to the US on Sep 08 (before we got married).

    I'm wondering, if the phone bills and call records from calling cards will be enough to proof our ongoing relationship (beside wed pics, pics with family and friends, valentine's card, me & hubby's tickets and boarding passes, joint bank account statement and check card)? Do I need to print out the chat logs from the date before we got married?

    Since this is a CR-1 visa, I assume CO only wants to proof our bona fide marriage and I figure that probably I won't need to bring those chat logs, but I'm not really sure. Please let me know what do you guys think about this.. Thanks.

    Take every thing you have....extra proof won't hurt, You had better be safe than sorry.

  5. So I have a question for this crew...do any of you have Joint Credit Cards with your spouses. I can easily have an account in my name and then add her as an authorized user. What I really want is her to be equally responsible for the bill, so that her name appears on the bill. If you do have this type of account, what company is the card from??

    Queue...Citibank has a card for new immigrants it is a secured line and helps you build your own credit rating. The way it works is you secure it with the amount you want as your credit card limit.

    Once she has a credit history, then I believe it is easier.

  6. Funny story...all this work has totally exhausted the both of us...and on top of it all, my husband has been forced to do the watering early morning and late night (drought restrictions). So he's doing that on top of all renovations. With 100+ weather, the flowers are still suffering. The landscape was so so beautiful a couple of weeks ago... now it's just blah :dead: So last night as I fell asleep at the dinner table (around 11pm)...I realized that I have neglected my wifely duties to poor hubby (maybe that's why he's so cranky)...so I forced myself upstairs, showered, and changed. Husband was on the phone...I gave him my "come hither" look and told him to come to bed. I got into bed and the next thing I know it's 5am and my alarm is going off...apparently I fell asleep before he was able to "come hither"...and I look next to me, my husband is sprawled on the bed, fully clothed in his jeans, shirt, belt, socks, etc...apparently he got to bed and passed out asleep too! :lol: Poor us!

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    Too Funny CnT

  7. Hey everyone!!! Hit and run...work is picking up again...

    It's been a little over 2 months since the wifey got here...time is passing by pretty quickly.

    I've been reading the Removing of Conditions forum and looking at the amount of stuff you have to submit...its crazy :)

    Seren - Don't think little queue(s) are in the plan in the near future...but then again who knows :)
