  1. I have another question  When mailing the I-130 with USPS overnight does it go to the same lock box, for example:

If you are the petitioner and you reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, or Wyoming and you are filing only Form I-130, mail the petition to the USCIS Lockbox Facility. The address is as follows:

    USCIS

    P.O. Box 804625

    Chicago, IL 60680-4107

    or does it go to:

    For couriers/express deliveries:

    USCIS

    Attn:FBAS

    131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor

    Chicago, IL 60603-5517

    Thank you

  2. This is what I am talking about The Guide

I posted this guide first created by Loto on VJWiki but it still needs tons of work, I see now some people are taking interest and are already trying to make it better.

So what I am suggesting is give your opinion, critique and judgment so we can make it better.

I invite all Wiki Masters to participate in this.

    :help:

What version of LOTO's guide did you use when creating the page on WIKI. I know that LOTO made a lot of changes and then published many version accordingly. He also told me to put it on wiki but then I got busy at work so I couldn't focus on it for a while. Meanwhile you published this guide on WIKI so over the weekend I made some correction for better look and feel.

I can definitely contribute to WIKI page improving look and feel as well as content. Previously I worked mostly on James's Shortcuts. There is still more correction required on DS-230 section. I know that LOTO used to refer to wiki page of James's shortcuts while creating this guide for NVC process.

Let's hope that other people also join in this effort as wiki syntax is not bad, and there is tons of help available online.

Pappu1980 I think you need to go over the links in the guide and fix them up a little bit. Since you made some changes some of them don't work.

Thank you for your help, keep up the good work

  3. When we sent our I-130 off this is what was included:

    Completed I-130 form

Completed G-325a forms (1 for me,USC and 1 for my wife)

Original copy of marriage certificate (translated and stamped with offical seal) this is easy to get an original copy of, why not send original

Official copy of my birth certificate (USC) (again, this is easy to get another copy of)

    (2) passport pics...1 of me and 1 of her

I also included, but was not required to, a notorized copy of my passport bio page and new jersey drivers licsense, we DIDN"T send any avidavits, pics, emails or any other supporting evidence of our marriage besides the translated marriage certificate...I didn't even include a cover letter....if all else fails, there is a check list of required documents to send on the instruction pages of the I-130...pics and emails and avidavits are more for the interview....good luck

What if I can't fit my employment history in the space provided on form G-325a?

    Thank you!

  4. hi...

If you decided to have the sworn affidavits My friend used their own format. and they went fine...

Please click the link to view it. [witness affidavits].

I also really want to know if 9. Birth certificate of the beneficiary is still needed?

My husband and I are about to submit our petition of I-130 prolly next month.

Thank you for the affidavits my_panacea = Greg. And yes can someone else whey in on:

    9. Birth certificate and copy of the beneficiary's passport, is it still needed?

On Monday I will call USCIS and ask them, but I am pretty sure I will not get a definite answer.

Thank you all for the support and help!

  5. From the instructions:

Copies. If these instructions state that a copy of a document may be filed with this petition, submit a copy. If you choose to send the original, USCIS may keep that original for our records. If USCIS requires the original, it will be requested.

Nowhere does it say certified or notarized copies.

    How about:

    9. Copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate and passport is it required?

I do not believe with the I-130 it is required .... If I am not mistaken, the original will be requested by NVC however.

    Oh and how about:

    10. Copies of affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of our marriage

Does anyone have a template for this?

  7. Hey everybody? I have a quick question on the issue of I-130 supporting documents from the list below.

Some people are telling me that they need to be translated and notarized photo copies, some say they need to be translated and notarized certified by the foreign ministry copies issued by the according authority and some say just plain copies.

    WHICH ONE IS IT???

OH AND I READ SOMEWHERE THAT 9. Copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate and passport IS NOT NEEDED ANY MORE IS IT TRUE?

THANK YOU SO MUCH I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT YOUR HELP!
