I moved to different state 2.5 months ago because of new job. My wife didn't move with me because 1)kids were in school, and 2) she was 7 months pregnant and didn't want to change doctors etc. I will be eligible to apply on Jan 21st. My wife will be moving to live with me again around middle of February. Is this going to affect my application?
Thanks...

v333k... didn't know I needed to live in Washington for 3 months before applying... thanks. Would it be possible then to just file in Kansas where my wife is even if I moved to Washington?
-
Hello all... I was ready to file my N400 application by the end of the month based on marriage (currently live in Kansas).... But I just got a great job offer for a position in Washington State. The thing is my wife cannot move with me now for two reasons:
1. Stepchildren attending school in Kansas.
2. She is 7 month pregnant and really don't wanna change doctors and all that in the middle of her pregnancy.
We decided that I can move there and she will follow me in January during the winter break (kids out of school and child is porn).
My question is... can I still file n400 now? we been living together for 3 yrs and 2 months as of today... I have everything can be possibly found to proof that our marriage is bona fide (insurance, bank statements, joint taxes for last 3 yrs, etc.)
The reason that I want to file as soon as possible is because we might be going to my home country to visit during the summer of next year...
Any suggestions?

im kinda starting to get worried was approved march 11th and never got my green card... is it too early to worry about it? it's just seems like everyone is getting their GC few days after the approval except me
-
Finally approved received an email says "Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production." I received RFE on Feb 14th mailed the package March 8th and got approved one day after they received it.
-
Dr Mirage,
I did receive the RFE in mail no update on online status. I'm sure its a random RFE will just send everything i originally submitted plus some more docs!
Thanks!
-
yea I wasn't expecting RFE. It's just really depends on the person who review your application. My status haven't changed online since I mailed the application still says "Initial Review". In some cases it will update to show that RFE has been sent but not in my case! So I wont count on checking status online only!

I don't see anything like a mortgage or lease. You mentioned living with your father in law. Did you send anything from him stating this?
no i didnt what happened is after i got married i moved with my wife in her house and we were planning on selling the house and move so we never bothered to add my name to it and we just moved couple weeks with my father in law.
-
imse82 did the letter say what more documents were required? Perhaps its one of those RFE letter so many of us from California Service Center received. From the list of stuff you've posted, that's a lot of proof. I think you should call USCIS tomorrow and tell them about this RFE. Hopefully its nothing serious but I'd suggest you call them and find out whats going on.
S_AL, they didnt ask for specific documents they just sent the general form asking for more evidence nothing specific. What RFE letter u guys received? i sent my application to California SC as well... can u elaborate please?

Dr Mirage,
I mailed the package on Oct 29th and my status wasn't available online till next day after I did my bio and it says application received on nov 3rd nothing changed since then. Never got RFE or another letter asking to do the bio again. Do I need to be worried?
-
Dr Mirage... I just noticed we did our bio on the same date however my last touch was November 3, 2010, CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED. If they touched your application in Dec at least it's moving!
-
I'm the second one who is still waiting as well! no touch on my application since i did my biometric! Can't wait till this over getting tired of checking my status online everyday.... assuming that thing is actually working! I know some people got approved and their status never changed
-
Congratulations to all those approved.
I'm the earliest CSC applicant to be approved in October now out of the few left. I'm getting a little frustrated that my application still states it's waiting a response to an RFE on the 18th November despite my calls to them to tell them the RFE was nonsense -- the letter was requesting my to make a biometrics appointment when I already had one booked for the 29th November, (that I attended.) My account hasn't been touched since the day of my biometrics.
You are not alone! My account hasnt been touched since my bio appt! Wondering when someone is finaaly going to touch it
Divorcing my US spouse and bringing foreign spouse to US?
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
Posted
Hi I have a question about my current situation. I been a US citizen for over a year and a half and got my citizenship after marrying a US citizen in 2008. My marriage didn't work out and currently in the process of getting divorced. My question is if I marry someone from a foreign country, will there be any problem bringing them to US.
Thanks,
