The census is inaccurate anyway. In immigrant areas, landlords lie and say instead of the 15 living, they say 2 do. Others lie and say less because they think more people living in the house means more in property taxes.

We have a lot more people in the US than we can keep track of.

My comments were to be condescending. They are not sexist. I dont care what you or your brother, or your neighbor ended up doing in life. I dont care about your sister either. 17yr old pregnancies are wrong. A VP should be a role model, as a leader, as a woman, as a mother. Not teaching your kid and setting them up for a hard life is a failure as a parent. Certainly not VP material. So get up off your high horse, this is not about your or your family.

Dont quite understand the attacks on Ronjie here. Apparently having a pinay wife, and and following the rules is wrong... just because you come from a consulate that is high fraud? Perhaps its his fault his love is of that nationality.

While we attack those members on VJ that do follow the rules, its becoming apparent that we should be providing advise to the OP on how to go around the system, help out illegals (because there are so few of them here), and give advise how to get them out of deportation proceedings or immigration jail.

Recently most of the airlines increased the number of miles required to redeem for upgrades or free flights. Not by a little, but some tripled the required miles need. So if you plan to put every penny you spend on this card, I guess you can do it.

I rather get a free bonus like a $200+ gift card from citibank on my credit card, than a free upgrade and the annual fee.

No, he was doing everything the right way, starting with overstaying his visa. That's why he's in immigration jail, for following the rules {insert sarcasm}

With the little info we have been given, I think its clear that he's overstayed and that is illegal. Being in immigration jail with deportation proceedings in process, means his chances for staying here really are slim to none.

Things are working for me alhamdullillah.. as far as me and wife are concerned we are almost on the phone 24/7 she needs me and I need to her.. and very soon we are gonna be together..

Spraileness, I have a meeting with her family very soon and things are working for me.. hopefully next month we will have a reception inshaALLAH..

For those who think negative about me: Like I said if I wanted I could simply ask her to leave her family but I didnt want that, if your parents are happy then you stay happy for the rest of your life else you better be prepared that your daugther will oneday betray you.. This is how I think, what goes around comes around.. I simply care abbout my wifes feelings that how much she loves her parents and I didnt want her to leave them right away and hurt them.. there is always a solution for everything which is TALKS or Negotiate.. So this is what I believe and so far I have almost done that.. I am not just sitting and doing nothing what I am going through none of you knows.. so easy for you to judge bad things about me but hard for you to find what really the problem is.. Also if OP loved his wife as much as he states above, and knew all these years in advance the role the parents play, he could have well prepared for his coming and avoided this whole mess.

I used to work for an airline a while ago. Do some online searching, maybe on networking sites like linkedin, and find a VP of marketing. Send the letter to that person. I worked with a VP like that, and he'd get furious if he'd get complaint letters from passengers. He'd go out of his way to please them, with $$$ credits, letters of apology, sometimes even a small gift sent to them. Writing to general customer service wont get you that kind of response.

Diana - I think you dont understand what I'm getting at. I dont dispute the culture fact, or it being difficult. OP says they are together for all these years... then did neither of them think what the family will say when he gets here? does the family approve? maybe seek their approval? knowing the culture, knowing what the process his courtship should involve, seems in the 8yrs he missed to do a very important part. And if he didn't, then they kinda knew what was coming upon his arrival to the states. And this train of though is regardles off my American train of thought.

Fahim - your story doesn't seem legit to me. And that's my opinion. I'm entitled to it, as you are to yours. You say you were all these yrs with your girl, then you didn't know what would happen upon arrival? You didn't seek family approval? Or did you know and come anyway? Also, the CR1 you came on, is not a tourist visa, its to come and be/live with your wife. It doesnt seem the family situation you are in is a surprise, afterall you had AZ lined up fairly quickly or from the start.
