  2. Hello! my interview will be on April 22 and I am just wondering how did you presented your documents? Did you just placed them in a envelope or a folder? Did you also include a table of contents?

I have a folder for Immigration Papers which inside of it had all my Immigration Papers from I-30 copy, DS-230 etc.... on the separate Red folder also I had my own folder which I have all my documents like a copy of my passport bio-page,ITIN,school records, etc..... and a Blue folder for my husband which i have all his documents like a copy of his Bio-page passport , drivers license etc..... and in separate white folder I have all our proof of relationship from the time we met online till we got married and till this time that we are living together for more than a year now., and another separate white folder with all our picture and i made some captions in each picture we have and I make my own letter how we met with my husband

hope it helps you. Thank you

  3. you can set up your interview date but make sure you have all the documents (package 3) ready before you set a date. As far as your medical you can go to St. Luke s with your letter to do the medical. It is first come basis no appointment needed. There you need to bring your shot record (if you have it) passport, 2 (2x2) photos with white background, interview letter and medical fee (213.00 USD) 10,500 in pesos.

  4. I have a question again.

Has anyone tried going to the interview with the printed copy of Appointment letter sent by NVC on email?

My interview date is April 27th and I still have not received the hard copy of the appointment letter but only on email. I called the NVC about this and they said I would still receive a hard copy. What if I still won't have it on the day of the interview, will USEM accept the printed email copy?

    Many thanks!

Both our appointment letters were the E-mail version that we printed out and had no problem.

  5. Hello Ate did the CO ask about the domicile issue?

I am curious because my husband last visit he stayed for 6 months.

Then he came back last feb 11 until now we are waiting for everything to get done.

What are the docs you have for the domicile issue?

He is paying his house every month but He sent through Money gram to his brother.

    Congrats!!!

The domicile wasn't an issue for us they just asked why hubby here so long and I told he was here using tourist visa and that was it. If your Bana still has his own house in the states then there isn't a domicile issue for you to worry about. Ours was because my Bana gave up his apartment before he came here. They just want to make sure you have a place to live when you arrive in America.

  6. wow Congratulations! thank you for this write up.

Can I ask you if I have to know the entire details of your husband's past divorce? Do I have to ask him details about it? Just wondering coz I know the reason and I did ask for the exact details, but I don't feel comfortable sharing this information with anyone else.

    thanks

you don't need to know every detail just the basics reason for the divorce and who filed and why. The CO was just making sure my wife knew about the divorce and basics about the reasons. More to make sure we shared everything with each other than the exact details.

  7. Thank you so much for sharing your experience here. It is very helpful!

Question, why do so many people arrive so long before their scheduled interview time?

You really don't need to be there more than 1 hr prior to appoinment time. Most people like us went early because of nervousness and didn't want to take a chance on being late. just make sure you go directly to the line at gate 2/ 3 depending on which one they are using that day, ours was gate 2. don't stand with everyone else in the consoler area outside because that is non immigrant tourist waiting area. We found that out after an hr wait till I asked if we are in the right spot. If you have changed your appointment bring both the new and old appoinment letters with you.

  8. I think i'm gonna feel that way on my interview day cuz it's still a month away and i really feel nervous just thinking about it.. But your story is really nice.. you have a very supportive husband. CONGRATULATIONS!! and thank you very much for this CR-1 interview experience... :star:

:) Happy to meet abynorm and we are in the same hotel and got to met also Del with her friend.

  11.:crying: This is too much suffering after I waited so long for the sputum culture result this March 30. My interview was yesterday, April 3, and I thought everything will be okay because I have so many documents to prove to them, like emails, chatlogs, greeting cards, proof of meeting in person like hotel receipt, I-134, bank statement, stock investment, pictures together. The consul asked me if how old is he, I said 53, and I am 28. She asked me again why my fiancé still single and never been married because he has 2 kids from same woman, and have their custody. I really don’t understand why it happened. It’s none of her business if he never was married before. Then, she asked me to submit new CENOMAR because I got it last December. She doubts the authenticity of my CENOMAR because the agency got it for me in whom their name appeared in “request upon by”. That’s the two document that embassy needed from me. But why did they return my passport to me? Am I denied? I am so frustrated and disappointed. I thought we will be together and be happy. Please help me and give me advice. :crying::crying:

hello good evening first and foremost sorry for the disappointment sounds like you are in AP as far as i know that's not a denial , they just want a documents re-submitted. Anyway we have the same interview date. I was there also at embassy April 3 at 7am appointment sana nagka kta tau noh sayang were both from VJ pa naman. But sis just be strong I know in the end you will have it.

  12. For a K visa type the NVC basically just assigns an NVC case number and then forwards the case to the Embassy but they can do additional checking on the data sent to them by USCIS. this normally doesn't happen. For a K visa type the Embassy will be the unit to make sure both the petitioner and beneficiary are document complete. The petitioner will have the AOS and the beneficiary will have the bio data and supporting documents. There are forms that can be downloaded from the embassy website. I-134, I-156, I-157 etc. Check the website for the complete list of documents to be completed and supporting documents needed.

  14. Hi all, well the journey is nearing it's end. We got our interview passed and received a pink slip! Mona will post later the details for the interview for you all. Time to celebrate!

  15. Hello fellow VJ friends, first of all i want to thank everyone for all their support during our journey. You are the best! Next i want to share the joy we feel right now. My wife had her interview today and Thank God she got the pink slip! I won't post right now about the interview, I will let her do that. Just had to let all our VJ friends we did it !!!! Woo Hoo !!! Time to dance!:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

  16. The best suggestion i can give would be for you to go to a regional website chat room like yahoo chat and go to Atlanta room and ask specific questions. Things in the states change so rapidly that unless you live in the Atlanta area it is hard to give specifics about the job market, housing, religious connections etc. Best to contact people in that area or Google Atlanta and see what comes up for you. Chat rooms are probable the best since the info will be the most current normally.

  17. thank you so much for all of that...i still have some questions,,,

ive been to a different country so do i have to send in the police certificate i have for that country..

what color should the background for the pics be n is there any restrictions.like no jewelries on the pics?or things like that....

the receipt for the 400 is the one i should mail the paper in with, right? my hubby told me its my turn to do some work so he's not being to helpful right now.lol! if possible pls give me a list of the documents that i need to send in with the ds230.

i would really appreciate that....pls,,,

you need a PC for any country you lived in longer than 6 months at a given time. The picture background should be white. I would suggest that you not wear too much jewelry in the photo you want to look professional. As far as the cover sheet, if you go to the website that the bill was paid on you will see an option to print cover letter. 1 for the AOS fee and 1 for the IV fee, these are what you put on the respective packages. The documents are listed at the NVC website. I don't want to forget one so I'll let you look that one up. Sorry!

  18. congratz OB & A n M on the interview dates. We will be praying for you. Well we are 3 days away from our interview. Heading to Manila in the morning to take my wife sight seeing to ease her tension. I figure I'll let her do a shopping spree to ease her mind and get a new outfit for the interview. Best of luck to us all. we will post our experience as soon as we get out of the interview with the pink slip (positive thinking).

And just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone for all the support you have given us thru these past several months. VJ friends rock!
