  1. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!:dance::dance: I just got word from my wife that she passed her interview. Spoke to her just a little while cause she had to catch the train back and will skype with her tonight when she gets home to get more details. She did tell me that her interview was pretty easy, but she had to wait a long time.

Anyway, THANK YOU so much my VJ brothers and sisters. Your support has been priceless these past weeks. I am praying that your interviews will go well too!!!!! Good Luck!!!!

  2. Hi everyone, i just stopped by to say I was approved!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am exhausted!! In the last 4 days I've been sleeping only 3 hours per day, feels such a relief now! Thank You GOD!!!

I was there by 7:30 am, there were 24 people in front of me in line, so when it was 11:30 am the consul said he was gonna take a break for lunch and would come back only at 1pm. So it was really exhausting, but now it pays off. Later I will give you a full review but for now I need a rest :)

Thank you all for the support and good luck for all of you!

    :)

  4. Hello everybody!!!

Thank you KD... a quick and smooth interview will be great for all of us :star:

I have a question about Affidavit of support documents... my husband is scanning the tax report and forms, is Ok if i just print the file? or should i bring the original? My interview letter said received and accepted...

    Thank you!!!

    hi Eca y Bubu

my husband didn't submited the 2008 tax to NVC so he send me a pdf file and i printed it out and the day of the interview they asked me about the tax papers and i gave it to them, that's all....

  5. Hey th3mo & Princess....didn't speak to you for a while so I wanted to say hello & I hope you are doing well.

    25 days until our interview...

hi amanda, how are you??? are you getting ready..?? someone posted this morning in mena corner saying her jordanian husband got his visa, so hope your husband will get his visa with no AP

time is flying fast so get ready to be with your husband soon inchallah

  6. Thanks for the response, Princess. I'll get the Moroccan translations then, regardless of how the Consulate responds. Good to know it only takes 30 minutes - the ones we got done in Rabat for our marriage couldn't be done same-day, but they were from English to Arabic. I believe there's a translator across the street from the Consulate so we'll go early the day before my husband's interview.

And only the fiche anthropometrique has the 3-month validity stamped on it, but my husband says he can easily get another casier judiciaire, so we'll get that, and another birth certificate, though it seems silly that a birth certificate would have an expiry date!

Congrats again. You must be so happy.

hi vivian , better safe than sorry, the translations of those documents are easy and doesn't take time because they only add personal information, they have already those documents translated

I know it seems silly that a birth certificate has an expiry date, my husband said the same thing when i told him that his birth certificate is not valid, so he had to go to his country of birth to get one and come back to morocco so we can get married

yes i'm happy  and i can't wait to be with my husband again

i'm going to the consulate later to pickup my passport with the visa :dancing:

  7. [how about can someone answer my question

birth cerifecate in arabic not expired it is s till i can use it but the translation it is expired ?

what do u think guys and thank u can u answer my question plz princess and jazaki lah khairan

i mean as we know our i can get the birth certifecate easliy with new date but i the date of translation it is old one coz i did it in a long time do u get it sis ??

better be on the safe side, get a new birth certificate and make a new translation , it only costs 100dhs

  8. Congratulations, Princess!  I was thinking of you this morning and hoping you were having an easy time. I knew it! Agree with the others that it will be harder on the men, so I'm working hard to make sure my husband's paperwork and evidence of our bona fides is iron clad. Plus I'll be there and will have alerted my congressman that I may need to contact him if we have any problems.

I'm still confused about the translations issue. I emailed the Consulate last week about the U.S. vs. Moroccan English translations - they didn't answer my question, just said they have to be sworn translations, which I already knew. I emailed them again today to try to get a similar response to the one they sent to Rosie, i.e. "If the translations are required for immigrant visa purposes, they need to be from a sworn translator, regardless of the origin." I want that in writing to me! I paid over $200 to get these translations done here in the U.S. that are 100% guaranteed to be acceptable to the State Dept. I cannot for the life of me understand why only Moroccan English translations would be acceptable, but of course I will do it if necessary - we are at their mercy.

Also, my husband's court record and birth certificate don't have an expiry date, only the police record does. So I wonder why those girls' records were out of date.

Again, congrats, and all the best with your travel plans.

thanks so much vivian, good luck for your husband's interview... be sure that he has all the evidences with him

it's really good that you will be there for his interview ,it will be a great support for him, i wished my husband was here for my interview

as for translations, one of the girls who was requested to bring new documents because the ones they had were already expired, was told that the translations her husband made in usa are not acceptable because they only accept translation from moroccan sworn translators

and for the documents if they are made more than 3 months ago that means they are expired , so better prepare new ones, and if they ask to make moroccan translations, it easy to do it, there are translators around the consulate, you can do the translations in less than 30mn and the cost of translations for the 3 papers is 300dhs

good luck and welcome to Morocco

and if you need any help, just ask me, i live in Casablanca

  9. Congrats princess and all the best!

thanks good luck for your interview too

    Congratulation Princess!!!!! :)

    thanks so much

    can someone answer my question

birth cerifecate in arabic not expired it is s till i can use it but the translation it is expired ?

what do u think guys and thank u

how come the birth certificate is not expired and its translations is expired, i don't undestand

    GREAT NEWS PRINCESS!!! :star:

    CONGRATULATIONS

thanks so much, good luck for you too

  10. mabrouk sis i do have one question did u pay for visa i mean cr1 visa ???and if it is ok remind us about the qustion in the interview and thank you

Hicham13, one thing you must be aware of is that the interview process is completely different for Moroccan females then it is for the males.

    i tottaly agree

Make sure you have all 3yrs worth of taxes, and all the proof that you need. It's sad how the consulate discriminates against the males. I have been watching the trend on how they do the males vs the females and it is a stark contrast. The females are so happy when they leave out of the interviews but the consulate officers drain the life out of Moroccan males. That is a clear case of sexism, and discrimination.

even females get denied so it's not a matter of male female descriminations but the consulate needs to be sure that this person is not commiting fraud either a female or male

and you should be well prepared, i was well prepared, i had my phone calls history since june 2008 and messenger history since june 2008, western union reciepts, letters and post cards, 2008 tax transcripts as my husband already sent 2005-2006-2007 to NVC... i had all the necessary evidences and i was ready to show them to the CO is she asked about them

You should be confident and answer the questions honestly and if you are married to an american and you only communicate in english, try to improve your english skills before the interview because it will be weird for them that the beneficiary can not communicate easily in english knowing that it's the language of communication with the benificiary

    be prepared...get your visa
