I still didn't receive my bio letter either.. How can I put in a service request?

I believe that if it has been over 30 days you can call USCIS with your receipt number and tell them you haven't received to bio letter yet, they may be able to look into it and see if it's a delay from the ASC where you are scheduled for BIO, or if they sent it and you just haven't received it, in which case they may be able to fax you a copy of it.

Now . . . I did change my first and my last name at the naturalization stage. But guess what, that doesn't effect my old (German) name. The authorities in Germany give a rat's behind on what I would like to call myself. For them I am who I have always been, which is cool, as it opens the world to two passports with two different names. I see an advantage in keeping the Old World and the New World completely separate.

I will have the same "issue" once I change my name during Naturalization: 2 passports, 2 completely different names. Now, when you travel to Germany, which passport do/will you use? The name on the tickets will have to match the one on the passport as well, so if you book with your American name, you won't be able to use your German one upon arrival in Europe.. I'm just curious as to how this should be handled when the time comes

No Bio letter so far. It has been almost a month now. Should I be worried? I heard that VSC is kind of slow, but, really?!

I had the same issue after receiving my bio better in December. They only added my case on Jan 10 (yesterday). I tried today and that was the date of the last update, so I assume that's when they added it.

I had no problem seeing my I-485 case back on AOS, but I guess this time it took a little longer. Nothing to worry about really... My I-130 still shows under "Initial Review"

My case was finally recognized on-line. So to all those who still can't see their status online even after the bio-letter, it looks like it just takes some time for USCIS to enter them all in

No it's not. If you have been married for 2 years or more when you do AOS (Adjustment of Status) you get a 10 year card, and do not have to go through Removal of Conditions. Phenixdragon is correct in his statement.

Same here... I have my Biometrics letter and I am scheduled for Jan 12, but I can't add that number to my portfolio online, it still says "not valid" . Who knows.. as long as they have it and they're working on it I'm ok with that

Never say never.. with USCIS you never know

It looks like CSC is doing a good job in mailing out all the Bio-letters

I have found in my research that cases can be approved immediately and cases are assigned a fraud level of A, B, or C in the beginning. And computers actually choose who interviews, with the higher fraud level having a higher chance for interview. But a pretty innocent case could get chosen by the computer, while a highly suspicious case might beat the odds and not be chosen by the computer. The percentages of each fraud level that the computer gives an interview is set by the director of the regional (or maybe local) offices. So one area might have a director who chooses to interview 0% of the level C's, but another locale might choose to interview 15%. But it's the computer that will spit out interviews equaling 15% of the level C applicants. How weird is that? So getting an interview could mean you're unlucky, rather than have a shady case.

Now that is VERY good info I was not aware of. Do you know what criteria they use to establish the fraud level?

I am happy to hear that Beantown that your package has been received. Absouletly theres alot of bonding that happens in these forums and our group for one was one of the many few. Thank you and yes I believe chit chating along in the process does make any immigration process alot less stressful because you can talk with people who are going through the same process and experience. I certainly did had an rough experience and my wife, family and the oct 08 filers were with me to support me and ride out this rough experience with me at the end. I do thank you and the many others who were there with me.

Yes! I was just thinking about that the other day! She also got her approval back in March of 09, I believe it was the end of the month though, so she should be filing sometime in December as well!

I went to a friend's Citizenship ceremony back in the Summer and couldn't help but imagine what it will be like! Funny though, as soon as they were sworn in and had officially become Citizens, there were people outside handing them papers to register to vote, etc! The ceremony was very nice...

Thank you and hope it does go way better than my conditional green card process fingers cross in the next couple of months.
