  1. hey guys,

i'm so happy to announce that we are "released" from NVC after 50 days! That's quiet a relief!

my fiance just called nvc and was told that we were released last feb 10 yet.

God is good! continue hoping everyone...everyone's time will come soon.

    God bless everyone!

Congratulations! I hope things move fast for you now :)

I have my interview tomorrow *fingers crossed*

    Best wishes!

  2. Queston for all lucky, out of AP people:

Besides finding out you're out of AP on the phone, did you receive that informtion through mail or email?

I am just curious because I want to resist calling them since I get disappointed everytime I call and get unfavorable response.

    Thanks!

    51 Days for me today.

Guys, there seem to be some good news as I just spoke to an operator and she said that it's technically still here, but will be sent to the embassy in India TODAY! That's certainly good news but I won't jump until I reconfirm this afternoon.

  4. NVC is busy today..cant get through to bug them :(

    I'll try later

did everyone enjoy their weekend on "the inside" lol

I was able to get through and I was given canned responses.

No update on either file. Lasy told me that AP is various gov't agencies checking your file.

I told my wife, I wish she was born here so we could have avoided immigration altogether.

  5. According to all our APers' current timelines, your case should be out any day soon, too, dzyrhetom!

Having been through it now myself, I advise calling every day because it seems they really have no idea what they're saying, and the information provided by one agent can be opposite to what the other one will say in a phonecall maybe even minutes apart.

On the other hand, I feel a lot better now, but I must admit I am just as worried about the outcome of the interview. The embassy employee said today they had nothing at all even mentioning the wait at NVC, butbut. You never know with them.

WOHOOO.... ohh yes, AT LAST NVC has COMPLETED our processing..They have already forwarded our case to the USEM...What a wonderful night it is for me here!!! Thanks God...

Ive just got an email from NVC tonight in replied from my inquiry and called them too right after I have read the letter and yes, indeed, its TRUE.....The packet 3 is on its way to USEM Manila..:dance::dance::dance:

Ohh btw, THANKS Badgerella...I think NVC released OUR case at the same ... So to all who are still there , dont lose hope! Soon NVC will release/ forward your case to the USEM.. Be positive...Goodluck to all of us....

Congratulations! It's indeed great news! Best wishes!

    yaaay for you Dzy!

good luck with the interview. :)

I just called and got the "yes, you are still in AP, there is no timeframe" "we will inform you with instructions once the case is complete and sent to the embassy"

super, thanks someone call the negotiator..we have a hostage stituation! :heh:

    week 5 here.

I just mailed all of our interview docs to my husband..maybe he will get them right around the time we get out of nvc

congrats to our newly released friends and good luck to the rest of us.

    Lisa,

It seems like you're going K3 route, but what's the update on your I-130? Did it make it to NVC or is it stuck like mine? I hope it had gone through.

ya, we are doing the k3..the 130 arrived at nvc early and I got the aos fee bill a few weeks after approval. Im so sorry you are getting jerked around Desi. :(

I was thinking...our 130 is at nvc..will we be pulled for "random checks" on it? i wonder how that would be handled if we persued it? hmmm i couldve been done with the cr1 through nvc already or very soon. but, we're doing the k3 for other reasons.

I hope you get news on the 130 and that we both get out of holding soon!

...and I've got identical response when I inquired about both petitions. I've pretty much given up on the I-130 and I am not thinking too much about I-129F either because they [immigration] always dampen my hopes...

  7. I got my NOA2 on December 19, 2008. It's been almost 7 weeks and I have called NVC way more that I care to count. They keep telling me that they have no record of my petition and to contact USCIS. I have contact USCIS also and they tell me to wait 45 days for a response. This does not seem normal at all. Has anyone out there had this problem before? Please let me know if something like this has happened to you before and how long did it take to resolve.

    Hi cluelesspig,

You're not alone. Here's my story from Vermont:

I-130: Approved on 12/18/08... it's been 49 days and still not at NVC

I-129F: Approved on 12/18/08... @ NVC on 12/22/08... been in AP for 45 days now.

    Good luck.

  8. My I-130 hasn't been at NVC (been 43 days since approval). NVC says they haven't received it, the USCIS is being rude and gives no answer. My congressman's office didn't help as it came back with a canned response. I am asking them again to do a more detailed inquiry.

On the other hand, the I-129F is in AP since 12/22/08 at NVC and as you all know, need at least couple more weeks.

So I am stuck both ways and it's really frustrating. I have no clue where to turn. My Senator says, get this, "busy setting up office in DC" (recent election). I guess I'll have to see if a lawyer could help.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

  9. After 6 weeks and 3 days in AP we are out at last! Thank you guys for all the encouragement and support.

To those who are still in AP you hang on and have a little more patience, your turn will come.

Take care and God bless us all.

Congratulations! That's great news and keeping hopes alive.

Wish you good luck for the rest of the journey.

  10. we're out... finally...

    Congratulations! I'm happy for you.

    Desi,

I think we are the only k3'ers. :(

I just glanced through as many pages as I could stand and everyone here looks to be K-1.

they only pull K visas or what? anyone?

    Lisa

You know, I went through every single page and I have confirmed that were the only two K3s! I know I know, you must be thinking I'm a dork! Haha

As I stated in other forums, I am not even thinking about 6-7 weeks because when I bank on those, I am proven wrong big time and then I get disappointed. I can't tell my wife about this freaking extra check, otherwise she'll burst into tears because it's been a year since we've been married and seen each other.

    Good luck.

  11. I emailed NVC today for kicks, to ask.. a)why we received letters sayign it was goign to be forwarded to the consulate in a week and B) what exactly are they checking

    cant hurt to ask,eh?

    Good Luck everyone

No, I don't think it hurts to ask. You have every right to know about your petition. I'm just not happy with this immigration thing.

  12. I was told by an Rep. at NVC that when you are in Ap Administrative Processing . They are usually running check with different org. So its a background check a very throe one. it also take 6-7 weeks and somtimes less. I had one done at the beginning of my Journey at NVC and i notice some people got theres at the end. Good luck to you guys in Ap u will be out soon.

    Good info W H C.

    Congratulations to all recent approvals.

Good luck to all still waiting, including myself!

  13. I have an interview date already. I have asked the Mumbai Consulate to request our CR-1 case file so that I can switch interview. I hope that they honor our request.

Good luck with the switch request SankuNiku.

Congressman's office confirmed that VSC did send I-130 to NVC and asked to allow a few more weeks to show up.

Awaiting Senator's reply now and have a lawyer ready if none of them work.

  14. We're stuck there as well.

They received our case 19th September. Sent out 2 letters, on the 24th and 26th November stating it would be forwarded in a week.

Told after speaking with a supervisor that we are in AP and have been since 21st November. Can't explain why either letter was sent. They can't actually locate our case at all.

I don't understand why they are fiddling with a petition that has already been approved. What are they going to do...rescind it or something?

Just found out we are also in AP at NVC. I got 4 letters all saying the case would be forwarded within a week!

more waiting?, 8 months at VSC wasnt enough i guess

Y_habibitk, I am sure you remember me and I am also a K3 from VSC and I am also stuck in AP like you. Very weired to see K3 in AP, but we are. It's been 4 weeks now for me. And I only received one letter.

    Good luck to both.
