  1. All VJ friends

VSC is throwing all their responsibilities and their nepotism to CSC. Lot of cases are being transfered to CSC. Lets analyse the trend for a month and see what happens to the processing time for CSC and VSC.

Why USCIS does not distribute the load equally to CSC and VSC to start with and then monitor their respective performances and award or punshment accordingly.

May be they can hire me for management consulting...I will not charge them a damn dime. Value added management...

Lets watch for some times and see how the curves for VSC and CSC converge or diverge. That will draw the distingtion between the two.

I don't think so. Looking at the trend, I think CSC is very efficient and fair in terms of the time they take to complete their cases. There is clearly a lesson, rather lessons, to learn for VSC from CSC. Hope they do that!

  2. I am sure there are lot of March I-130 Vermont filers... did anyone already get approve?

Who knows what the hell is wrong with VSC!

Please share your stories if you don't mind...

No updates, but with the recent stream of transfers, I am hoping that we, the March filers, see some activity.

I hope so too. I did see quite a few Jan/Feb. 08 VSC cases transferred to CSC. Hopefully it'll sort out the mess...

Keeping Fingers Crossed! (what else can any filer do anyway?!)

  3. WOW! That's awesome! Congratulations!!

My timeline is somewhat similar to yours so I hope they haven't skipped my forms and they also give me an approval soon.

Me and my husband are going crazy and sometimes we are feeling depressed. Why can't VSC be as efficient as CSC? If they are far behind due to other visas, they should share the work with the other centers (It seems they've just started doing that). At least the wait would be fair to everyone, independent of their place of residence...

    Well, God bless us!

I see one VSC K3 approval according to VJ timelines. It was an early April filer...what about us VSC?

Hmm. Yeah Addisluv. Someone that filed a few weeks after I did. I wonder if my petition is in the same "box" :)

Yes! Yes! Yes!!!:dance::dance:

I finally got approved!!! It is worth the wait and now I'm looking forward to NVC. NVC - here I come!!!

Good luck to all of you waiting!

FYI. . . I did call VSC last week and requested for my applications to be transfered to CSC. The representative was a very nice lady and told me that by the time they get ready to transfer my applications to CSC, it might be my turn to be approved. I don't know if that phone call made a difference but I'm so happy.

    Good luck to all you!!!

There was an I-130 approval on 7/28/08 (I know it's not even this month), but the NOA1 date was 10/120/07 from Vermont.

I know this info probably won't help many including myself. Just thought to share...

  4. My case (which is an expedited one) is approved today.

I requested for expedition (severe financial loss & emotional distresses) early July. The expedition was approved on July 8 2008. An RFE was received on July 21. After that, the case was touched 3 times within 3 consecutive days. Then nothing happened for almost 25 days. I lost my patience & wrote to congressman for help to check on my case 6 days ago. They did check on my case. Today, I got approved

The congressional office was very responsive & helpful.

I wish many of you who are suffering get approval soon. It seems VSC is catching up.

You contacted your congressman. How does that imply that VSC is "catching up"??

They are offloading 2007 's cases to CSC & other centers. They have approved Jan-Feb cases.

This is the sign that they are trying to catch up. Let wait & see how the processing time update in the next few days.

I know about the 2007 cases and I hope it is the case for the Jan/Feb cases. KFC (Keeping Fingers Crossed)! LOL

    By the way, congratulations!

  5. I think it has to do with the natural increase & decrease in applications. The service centers process all different types of visas, not just the K-1, and spousal visas. Over the last two years, I've noticed that CSC slows down considerably around January at the same time people zip through VSC some in less than 1 month. Through out the year one may be faster than the other, but overall I think the average out to being about the same.

Cases are processed roughly in the order in which they are received. Of course if you get an RFE, they don't hold up the people who applied after you until you respond. There are a few countries that receive quicker processing, because it's law/USCIS policy. I think Cuba is one and there may be 1 or 2 other countries.

Hi Reeses16, I agree with you 100%, but I strongly disagree with you on your statement where you said "Cases are processed roughly in the order in which they are received." You may have kept your eye on it for nearly two years, but I know for fact that they absolutely don't. Even a representative and local USCIS officer told me ..get this: "Vermont is more like a warehouse where all the files are in a stack. Normally they say they process it in the order in which it was received, but it's the fact that they just take the top one from their stack." So there you have it--hard and cold fact.

  6. Hmm how can you say such think about CSC.

Also just to let you know in April and May 150,000 I-129F were submitted this year that's only for 2 months. VJ is not even 1% of the actual numbers out there. Even that INS hired 500 new hires 2 months ago.

    Ingat.

this is for those who have reached rock hard bottom, for those who have gone into depression, for those on the verge of insanity... it is friday now which means another draining weekend for VSC victims with no hope for approvals. this is for the victims who feel emotionally tortured by all the waiting and for the bruised fingers clicking on the uscis site and finding out their petitions are " pending" amidst the wave of approvals at csc. lets give a toast to our wonderful VSC for the emotional stress, the financial strain and the pain of being apart from our loved ones. amen.:whistle::whistle:

Hey Freddy007/Ingat, you have no idea of what you just said, do you? You know, I am not here to wish anyone anything bad, but had you been in our shoes, I bet you would be cussing left and right because your status would still be reading "Case received and pending" even close to a year since filing. I hope that gives you an idea what the hell we're going through.

  7. Nothing new here except needing to change my password soon on the USCIS website.

Yea it sucks. I tried calling, writing letter, but not surprisingly no real answer.

I am an early March filer at the Vermont. CSC is really doing their job and I think they should be rewarded and the VSC employees should be made to work for $2 an hour because it seems to me that all they do is party and get drunk on their desks and they lose peoples' files.

    A-Holes.

  8. at the start of the week, it looked like vsc was starting to work on petitions, they started with about 3 approvals. i thought it was going to go on for the rest of the week. then suddenly the next day, it stopped. now its almost the end of the week, and everything is quiet again at vsc. do we need to endure another weeked without approvals?

Either it seems that they stopped working or people might not be updating their status... the obvious fallout is at the VSC--it's no brainer!

  9. I KNOW THAT A LOT OF K3s ARE TRANFERRED TO CSC. VSC SHOULD NOT HAVE MUCH OTHER THAN TO WORK ON PETITIONS. IF I DONT SEE A APPROVAL WITH IN TWO WEEKS, I WILL BUST INTO VSC OFFICE AND JUST RIP APART THE OFFICE, THAT WAY ALL THE FILES WILL BE LOST AND EVERYONE GET AUTOMATICALLY APPROVAL. PERIOD.

CJVASANI: I HAVE TRIED THE SENATOR'S ROUTE BUT NO SUCH LUCK. ALL ARE BUNCH OF LAZY A**.

    IMMIGRATION: SUCKS

    VSC: SUCKS LIKE NEVER BEFORE

    USA: BIGGEST LOOSER OF ALL.

    HATE ALL THAT.PERIOD.

    :angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::devil::devil::devil:

    you missed one

    okay!

    Thanks Ilya

here you go: :devil::devil::devil::devil: one extra cause VSC deserves it.

I like your style 'reehon'. You know something? Whenever I have a bad day or bad mood, I call up the USCIS and take all my anger out on them! LOL

  10. Has anyone talked to one or many of the dumbest officers at the VSC lately?

I talked to one last week and she started to argue with me and I finally had to shut her up rudely by saying, "You're on the phone because I pay for your job, not arguments."

the supervisor has given instructions to the employees not to answer any questions anymore except maybe what they want on their pizza or how many orders of fries

Oh so now that's what they do... may be they should change the title from Vermont Service Center to Vacation Stress Center!

  11. I'm tired of all this process. I'm getting depress also and loosing hope. I really hope that vsc start working on spouse visas cause the process doesn't end here. We have NVC tot ake care after that which i hope that will be quick.

    :devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil:

I am so sick and tired of this country's new law about immigration: Illegal immigrants easily welcome and legal immigrants are welcome to wait abroad!

    :ranting:

  12. OMG! Guess what?! I finally got approved!!!! WOOHOO wife and I are so excited! I wasn't expecting anything and I haven't been checking these last few days but I logged into USCIS today and it said my file was updated, thought I would have received an e-mail but I didn't. Anyways, checked my case to see if it was just a touch, but it was an approval, now just have to fill out the packet and file more stuff! So damn excited right now. I hope you guys are around the corner too with your apps.

    YAY!!! Awesome!

I got an update today too. Unfortunately its just another touch though. :P

At least you are getting a touch (that your case is not notoriously lost by damn VSC and USCIS that they are known for), lot of others like me aren't even getting looked at. Good luck with the 'touches'!:ranting: to VSC and USCIS...
