  1. LOL!!

That sounds about right though, they may get suspisous if we have a date already....thats what I always tell the customs people

CO: when are you getting married

Me: when i get the visa

CO: You don't have a date? when are you planning to get the visa

    Me: ...when it's approved?

CO: when do you plan to move

Me: (trying not to rollmy eyes) when I have the approved visa in my hand and am legally able to marry

CO: Well...DOn't stay down there, you will screw things up for yourself

Me: (biting my tongue) yes sir.....

So I just answer "when I receive the Visa" to everything now!

    Jen

    that's funny ...
  2. Good luck Jenni! I bet your turkey will be the best he'll ever had ... ^_^

May I ask you something about form DS-156? What did you write in box 22 When do you intend to arrive in the US? I was looking at it and thought to put 25th of october there or just plain write october 2008 ... because a specific date is kind of hard to tell as long as there is no interview date set eh? Maybe it's a stupid question afterall  Those forms could be so much clearer ...

  3. :star: Hi everyone. I hope your all well.

We got touched on the 18th of Sept so hopefully thats good news and this upcoming week we get approved. I havent recieved an email and when I log in it still says its pending. Did anyone else get touched just before they were approved???

    Have a good day

    Mel

Hello there Mel ... It seems like numberous people found out they were approved when they got the hardcopy of the NOA2 in the mail and/or with some of them the online status wasn't updated properly. So who knows maybe the touch was a good one :) Keep us updated!

Jenni that is wonderful news ... hope things go fast from here on, good luck with collecting the papers!! :D

    Have a great Sunday all ... (F):)

  4. Sandra, hope u'll get your interview really soon  As to the name issue... Here in Ukraine we have smth called "patronimic" (like extended version of fathers name added to the kid's name). I generally skipped it in my visa applications. What does your international passport have in it? I would say use the name as it is in your passport. And medical... well, if they are not asking for it, don't send it. Better keep it safe so it makes it ok to that big envelope u'll get to surrender at POE.

Thanks Ana. My international passport has Sandra H. J. on there ... so I'll just put both of em under middle name ... lol If they only need one, they'll only take the first one...

  5. I really hope so Ana. (F)

I have a question ... I asked Alex the same thing in a pm already. What is considered to be your 'middle name'? My name is Sandra and then I have 2 baptizing names Hendrika Jozef(my godmother's and godfather's first name). Should I write down only the first name on my forms or just fill in the two names. To be honest I have no clue what I put on the g325 forms, I probably just left them off. (I don't have a copy of those forms :blush: ) We don't speak of those names being 'middle names'.

I also had my medical already done, because the doc where I had my examination is going on holiday in a couple of days... Should I send those results already with the packet 3, or just check it off on the checklist and not mention it yet? (I was as healthy as a fish btw, and had my blood tested in advance ... x rays on the same day as doc appointment, so that went really smooth, thanks to the advice of D, another Belgian girl that recently got married in the States!)

I checked DHL yesterdaynoon and there was a package on it's way to Brussels (sent by US gov containing embassy papers) ... and Greg found this confirmation in his mailbox shortly after I checked. Now all I can hope is for everything to run smooth and get an interviewdate very soon.

    :)

  6. What I would like to know is what papers I am going to need from Jonathan for the packet 3?!

You'll need the I134 affidavit-form and the proof for the evidence of support, plus some more stuff that proves you're engaged ... But I'm not sure what you have to send back in that packet 3... Copies of the proof and originals of the DS and other official forms? Or copies of forms and take the originals to the interview. Hmmm that's what I wanted to ask the embassy, I called and mailed but haven't heard back from em.

Ana ... yes I swear my tummy was upset, but there was loads of cheese on those ...

  7. Pevo or two? C'mon, it's Ale House we are talking about, they do pitchers, ya know? :) Have some of those fries with bacon and cheese for me, ok? Man, do I miss those!
Wow Ana ... sounds like you have a strong stomach ... My first experience with cheesy fries ended in bed with a killer belly ache :unsure::D

How's everyone doing? Congratulations on the new approvals and Ana I wish you a speedy NOA2 ...

    Have a great Friday! (F)

  8. Do you happen to know if anyone else with a fiance from Russia has been approved recently? I just can't help wondering a little...

Hey Anka ... if you check your timeline and click 'similar timelines' you'll find all Russian timelines, I think a month from your filingdate. Or go to the 'immigration timelines', K1 visas and refine the search to your country and you'll see when the NOA1, NOA2 etc ... was received.

Good luck! Have a wonderful day! :star:

  9. Hey girl, yep, am still hanging in there :). How are things your way, getting ready for the next steps?

Hi Ana, yea that's all you can do eh? Hanging in there ... I hope you have good news very soon! (F)

I have my packet ready (I think lol), Greg still needs to send me the NOA2 and some paymentstubs from work.

Called the embassy, but the person I need seems like a very busy person  And we haven't been in touch with the NVC yet. It's a week since the approval so maybe it's time to check what's happening?! :star:

  10. Ok I AM MAD :girlwerewolf2xn: at all the people creating timelines now and pushing me back up the timeline.
Melannie, I'm almost afraid to say something ... werewolfgirl looks extremely dangerous and hungry today. I know the frustration, moodswings, bloodpressure highs (and then they expect us to be all healthy and well for the medical  ) ... Hang in there girl! (F)

Ana, I hope all is well with you!

Have a wonderful day people! *still wishing for speedy approvals* :star:
