Sorry, I think priority date has to do with family based visas that do not automatically receive a visa upon approval, they are put on a list to wait for a visa to become available to them based on order they were applied for. USC spouses, parents, and children never have to wait because visas are always available to them. However, permanent citizen's relatives or USC's brothers, sisters and so forth get a priority date once they get to NVC.

I don't know much about the medical besides that the results have to stay sealed, we need to bring in vaccination records, exrays, 3 passprt size photos and the interview letter. I know we have only a few doctors we can choose from... that's really all I know. But if you heard it lasts that long, it probably does. Does anyone else know?

That is correct as far as I can gather. They schedule interviews for the following month on the second week IE: March interview will be scheduled the second week of February. Doesn't give a lot of time to book and have the medical done, though.

My husband said the doctor he is going to see books as early as next week... at least when he called. Of course he can't schedule the medical until we have an interview date.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but the chance of anyone getting a Feb interview at this point is pretty small (not saying it won't happen though!)

If you have quick look at the timeline, they normally schedule 2 months in advance, minimum - so basically you would be looking at a March interview at best (yours will most likely be April or May Kim)

Ooh, ooh, ooh... lol I just GOT what you said. I was going through the threads to look for scheduling trends... Ok, I have just went back a little bit, but check this out. The people on this thread reported November interview dates on Oct 14. On Oct 16 is when they reported Dec dates and Dec 1 is when they reported January dates. I remember Trailmix telling me she got her February date when her case was completed Nov 28 on Dec 20 of 2007. So, I'll probably still call tomorrow or Monday and just see. Here's to hoping!

I was told the NVC is done scheduling for February, so for those who get scheduled for March let's gather, so we know when they start scheduling. I don't have a date yet, but my completion date was Dec 1, 2008... so I am hoping I will get a March date.

I know!! I called again tonight to talk to another operator and asked, "You are done scheduling for February?" as well as, "So now I am waiting to see if I get a March interview date?" And she said, "That is correct."

So I'm gearing back up for March now. I just want to know!!

Wow... so if it is the beginning of the month we should know soon? My two year anniversary is March 15, so does that mean we will get the IR-1 instead? Cuz the greencard takes a month to print... is that right?

Well I just called the NVC and the operator told me that I was not scheduled for February. I asked her if they were done scheduling for February and she said yes. She was very short with me and did not say the usual, "Let me look that up for you" so I think I will try call again tomorrow.

Yeah I did and the operator quickly said, "But I see we aren't done scheduling yet, you should call back late tomorrow or Monday and maybe you will have better news." So we will see what we will see. Honestly if we don't get a Feb date, I just want a date period. This not knowing is brutal, ya know?

Life can be so difficult, can't it? Sounds like you are having a really tough season of life. I agree with you about it being so nice to have this forum and to know that we aren't alone.

I was wondering if anyone knows an AFFORDABLE translator in Montreal (Français to English)?? I was to get a head start in translating my documents. Also, I wanted to know if i need to have my carnet de vaccination translated for the medical exam or if there's some sort of universal language when it comes to shots?

For what it's worth, if the documents originated in Canada and your interview is in Canada, you don't have to have the documents translated. I was worried about it and I called the NVC and they told me that I didn't have to get my husband's birth certificate translated from French to English since he is from Canada. I don't know if that helps or not.

yes... I called the NVC and they told me that. I have my case complete at the NVC and am just waiting on an interview. Well, I guess Trailmix has a better answer.

WOW! Are you serious? I guess it would be a job for some people. Just for us on the other side of the line, it is our life. Ya know? It is so hard to be separated from my husband. There are so many things happening. Just one of many is that my 15 year old nephew who was diagnosed with cancer two years ago has only been given a few months to live. 2000 miles is such a long distance to hold a relationship. They had problems with their phone line and company, so I can only talk to my husband since Thanksgiving when he calls from a payphone using our calling card. They have been having car problems and then when you mix the weather up there during this time of year... yeah. lol When we flew in there, my husband met me at the airport and we were stuck there until 130am because his fuel pump froze and his dad had to come and get us.

Because of the inconsistancy, I decided to call again and see what they would say. And the man said the same thing to me that he said to to_Hope. That I hadn't been scheduled yet, but that they weren't done scheduling for February and that I should call back at the end of the week or early next week to see if I got better information. Thank you guys for being so supportive throughout this... I know we are all in it together, but it is nice to know that I am not alone in the process.

Oh Shiri I'm sorry. That must be so disappointing! I have not received an interview yet, but I just called and the operator (named Mandy) told me that they are scheduling until Friday, so I should call on Monday. I don't know why we got such different information??

I don't know. I have noticed some operators are good and offer information and are upbeat and others... well, aren't. lol I will call back again too.

My fiance and I were approved (NOA2) October 17th, 2008. The package got sent to the wrong consulate (I had moved countries) and we just recently had been informed that Montreal had given us a case number and any day now I should receive my packet 3 in the mail.

My question is this:

Once I sent in the packet 3, does it then get put in line with all the others who just sent in the packet 3, regardless of their NOA2 date? I ask this because of the 4 month expiration date that the NOA2 has. I am not sure if they look at THAT and then put them in line accordingly. I know you can re-knew the NOA2, but, I would like to hear that we get put in first

My NOA2 was approved on Sept 12 and I don't have my interview date yet, but the NOA2 date I didn't even think about. I think that is a great question!

Update - I received the AOS bill by mail on 1/12/09 and paid for it the same day. Now, today 1/13/09, it shows paid and I was able to print the coversheet. And also I was worried about the DS -3032 because I do not have the signed form in my possession. The only option I have at this time was just for the email to work. The first one I emailed was on 1/8/09 and I emailed them twice yesterday. Today, I received email notification from NVC that they received the email for DS-3032. That is a great news, it took them 5 days for the response of DS-3032. Well, good luck every body.

Well, that is fantastic news. You may or may not already know this, but since they accepted it, if you get online the same way you paid the AOS bill, you can pay the IV bill too. I don't know if you are doing that or your spouse is... but you can do that and then when it shows paid you can send in the DS230 and the supporting stuff. Good luck!

That is wonderful! I mean to know when they are supposed to be done. I am to the point where it seems like I will have a February one, but am scared that I won't. Ya know? My case was completed on 11/20 and then something they already had but processed later (I think it was the email I sent when I mailed in the PCC) bumped my case complete out to 12/1... But I see your case was completed 11/26, so I hope you get good news soon also! So I am guessing that since you and I are both still waiting they must not have called Montreal for the CR-1/IR-1 interviews. So, I see you just celebrated your one year anniversary, were you able to be together for it? I actually was flying back from Montreal on your anniversary. I made a surprise visit there on the 30th of Dec and came back the 2nd. Anyways... good luck to you too!

Well, I just called and the operator said they hadn't scheduled me yet. I asked her if they were done scheduling for February and her response was, "They have not told us they were done scheduling for February as of yet." So... I don't know. I have been checking the Immigration timelines to see if any Canadas have been scheduled for February... I have seen a few K1s that were scheduled before, but have not seen any CR-1s or any new for Montreal yet. That is my hope that they just hadn't called the Embassy in Montreal yet. For the people you saw that they were done scheduling, were they from Canada?
