I also have a restaurant in peru and my mother is the general manager, i gaved her a power of attorney so she can run the place with out me being there. My other question is if she is a general manager at my restaurtant can she come to the states any faster for business purposes?

    thank alot everybody

    Christopher Tapia

    Hi Christopher,

As the first step, the sponsoring relative files a Petition for Alien Relative, Form I-130. You file the petition with the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS) immigration Field Office in the United States that serves the area where you live, except as explained below. For instructions on how to file a petition see Petitioning Procedures: Bringing an Alien Relative to Live in the United States.

Look at this web site...Family Based Immigrants

I hope you can file soon...

  3. Hi Vj's,

I will spend Christmas alone, my husband can't come to Peru, he works at the airport, so due to the season he can't get days off from work...well, we will have a Christmas night in front of the computer, at least this is better than nothing...just this year, the next one we will be together our loved spouses...

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!

  4. 72 and 19....and do you think it is PURE LOVE???? come on...reading the post here I have noticed that the most of philipinas are really really younger than their husbands..and i have read too that a good number of couples get divorce quickly..especially the ones with a huge age difference...we have to be honest with ourselves...a man who is 60, 65, 70 years old, married with a 19, 20, 23 years old woman..it really is going to work out???...in 5 years he will be 75 or 80 years old and she 25  ....just a little thing to think about....

  5. HI,

I just read this about CR1 Visa at....Spouse Visa

"What If the Applicant Is Ineligible for a Visa?

Certain conditions and activities may make you, the applicant, ineligible for a visa. Examples of these ineligibilities are:

    Drug trafficking

    Having HIV/AIDS

    Overstaying a previous visa

    Practicing polygamy

Advocating the overthrow of the government

    Submitting fraudulent documents

The consular officer will inform you if you are ineligible for a visa, whether there is a waiver of the ineligibility and what the waiver procedure is. See Classes of Aliens Ineligible to Receive Visas for more information."

    See the link....CR1 Visas

I hope this can help you..

    God bless you

  6. Hi Sean,

Well, now you are married you have to follow the K3 or CR1 path, and for your step-daughter ,as pushbrk said, you have to file a separate I-130 with separate fee as well, and let it takes the time it needs at Uscis and NVC.

About the Father permit, YES Gianella needs her father's permit to leave Peru, and also when papers reach NVC, they will ask you if her biological father is agreed about his daughter going to US...so you have to contact Gianella's father and explain what is going to happen..you know, if he doesnt wan to sign the permit..you can say him this sign will "absolve" him of any child support..it is just an idea...

Well, I wish you my best...

  7. Hi Whisper2me,

My husband received today the letter from Uscis telling him our file was transfered on Nov 12 to California, but the website still shows our case is pending in Vermont, no updates so far...

As you, now I can have some exciment too.... :jest:

I hope all of us that we are waiting to be with our loved, get approval soon..
