Hi Sept peeps - I'm getting everything together to mail to Govi, wondering how much I need to send.... We have a couple of red flags so I wonder if I really should send reams of chat logs or will just a few be enough? From other interviews (K1) which I have seen at KTM they look at photos so Govi will be printing out about 200 from our wedding, honeymoon, time together with family, different trips we have taken together, etc. Think that is enough???

Send as much as possible, better to be safe than sorrry. They do not seem to be questioning too much when the spouse goes by themselves but better be on the safe side. I am sure you are going to be just fine. In our case, i had a folder of evidence but all they looked at were three wedding pictures. Go figure.

Since we are doing the whole DNA thing by the time we are finished it will be March and my husband and i will be married 2 years in June? I know it's a stretch but do you think that it's possible for him to get the 10 year green card instead of the 2 year? It will be so close. It would save us some money if they would. Is there a way to request that since it is so close to our 2nd anniversary?

Did you guys see USCIS updated their processing times? Now it's 6 months for I-130. So yes, for a split second I was hopeful that he would be here for christmas this year but I'm not getting my hopes up like I did last time. It's too hurtful when it doesn't come through.

I take those updates with a grain of salt cause i always felt like they are just to appease us but it's good that the time has been reduced. That wait time last year was atrocious. Geeze. Dont' worry Suz, it will be done sooner than you think.

Have any of you been requested to take a DNA? I am looking for others with that experience. We were asked to take a DNA test to prove that my daughter is his, which she is his and we are almost done. The results should be back at the embassy by early next week. I was just trying to figure out how long it takes for them to issue the visa after that. I hear it takes days but has anyone else bene through this?

Hey folks. It's nice to see all of you here. Let's keep this going. Since we are all still here, we can keep each other company and help each other through. I still have a couple more weeks to go myself, so here we are.. I am stuck in the whole DNA thing but the results should be on the way back to the embassy by the end of this week and they say they will issue the visa mere days after they recieve the results, so, i say that gives us about 2 to 3 weeks more to go.

I'm gonna call NVC first thing tomorrow, just feeling so discouraged sometimes - wonder if the 16-hour long power cuts are causing delays at Kathmandu embassy. Sorta resigned to an April interview and paying throu the nose for air tix....

Don't be discouraged. It's going to be over soon. Just keep hoping and praying. You will see. You still have supporters here. All of us typing here are still not done either. We are still going through the process cause we are special, that's why. Hang in there okay!

hi dolma, shasha...everyone! I just have to tell u that i called yesterday to NVC and they told me that my they have assigned interview date for my wife on march 5th....what a shocker!! she needs to do her medical 7 days befo and there is no appointment letter from NVC...I am not sure what is going on with NVC....this is crazy anways...we got appointment so i am happy...let's hope all goes well with interview....ya'll jus hang in there as we all have been for long long time....i jus want this to end, SOON!

You knwo what ladies, it all depends on the interviewer. If they are having a bad day, they make you have a bad day. That is the whole thing i think. All the evicdenc we had and they did not look at the package at all. Some people were grilled even when their spouse was not there but some were not. My husband was asked 4 questions. It all depends on the interviewer. I was afraid of them separating us and our answers messing up because we couldn't remember stuff that's why i didn't go. At least if they question the other person, they have nothing to match. I dont' know. It just depends on the interviewer i think.

Maybe they want an actual letter from IRS stating that he did not need to file. Contact IRS, they may be able to do it.

Already out for delivery. God is truly amazing. This process is moving faster than we thought. Michael sample was not supposed to be delivered until tomorrow but it is already out for delivery today. We are going to be done by the end of next week and the results will be sent back to the embassy visa Fedex by the end of next week. Oh my goodness. We are almost done. Wow. God is trully great. He is awesome.

It appears, they have mixed up your case somehow with someone else's.

Good luck. Once you have sent the visa package, keep close tabs. Makign it for April 4th depends on your embassy and what dates are available for interview.

I feel that we are all paying because of the stupid things other people did. They ended up setting us up on the end. It is the ones that are faking their relationships that actually get off easily. Anyway, all of us that have struggled will eventually get by. Those questions they asked are too personal. How can they judge people when they flinch? I would be embarrassed too if someone was asking me intimate questions about my husband's and i sexual history because that is our business, not theirs. It seems to me that they cross the line. There is personal and then there is personal.

I totally understand Onekea but you know what? God has the say not them really. So, don't let them intimidate you. Good luck. On the day of your interview, we will all be here waiting to hear the good news and praying for you.

They actually did ask all of these questions? That is outrageous and way too personal. It's funny cause they only asked my husband about 4 questions. I had already prepared him though, i told him that they may ask some pretty intimate questions however, he didn't have any of that. They were more interested in the DNA testing. If you need any help with reporting these things, i will help. They are going overboard.

Okay, so Mya and i went to do the mouth swab yesterday. It was a little more to it than i thought. They use 4 of those q-tip looking things to swab both cheeks, you have to have photo id. They take a picture of you too. Michael is going to do his today, that will be sent back via fedex today i hope. If it can be in the US by the end of this week, it would be so nice. Then it will be done by the end of next week and on it' way back to Guyana and Michael's visa can be issued quickly. Aww man, hurry, hurry, hurry.lol. Okay, i am a little anxious.

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I got my interview date. Its on March 5. I came on here to post last week but I'm the type of person to keep this kind of stuff to myself and the nerves got the best of me. I am now preparing to go back down to GT for the interview...I am soooooo nervous. MrsRowe how long did it take for you to get your interview letter or for your hubby to get his? The weeks are going s fast...now I see how you felt last month I need prayer...

It appears to me that if the tow parties are at the interview then they may interrogate you a bit but as long as you are confident in your answers, there should be no problem. I will pray for you. One of us are getting through this process without any hitch. It's going to be you. Just be confident in your answers and you will be fine. Don't let them intimidate you.

Unfortunately, real couples pay the price for fraud others have committed. It is unheard of for couples with children to be put through this kind of thing but the same thing happened with my husband. We were asked to do a DNA test for our daughter to prove that she is infact my husband's daughter. It is totally rediculous and it costs a lot of money but we are doing it. They do put your through a lot but that's because others have done the wrong thing but don't worry. It will be overy soon.

Hey Sasha, you know i am still here. I am going to reply to your email today. Still here. We got three more weeks to go. My husband did his swab yesterday and it's coming to the uS via Fedex, it takes them about 5 days to do the match and then send it back to the embassy. So we yeah, in about three to 4 weeks, he will have his visa

Are you originally from here or did you come here on a spousal visa? They do that to make sure that your previous relatinoship was not a fraud.
