  1. I don't have a drivers license, can't without a SSN in Georgia
  2. Thank you TBone! I will consider it. I see you are a fellow South American!
  3. Ok thank you! so including the 2025 tax return of my wife would actually help because it shows my name on it right? And noted the thing about emails and texts, yea maybe that's not the most smart thing to do. Good to hear about your experience! Thank you
  4. Yes! I did not come with intention to immigrate, I had my job and all my things back in my country. I appreciate your help. What do you think about the evidence? would that be strong evidence? I would like to think so, but just asking for other opinions. Also, would it be smart to add a “tax return” section on the bonafide proofs, stating that we planned to file MFJ, but due to better refunds on MFS, we went that route?
  5. Oh, we just put all the evidence we could find, even if it is secondary evidence. I’m not out of status yet, and I don’t have a timeline since I didn’t send the package yet either. The reason of my visit was legit and yes I remember it perfectly
  6. The thing is that since we are newly married (almost 4 months), we got only 1 statement from our joint bank account that we opened a couple months ago. That’s why we upload the screenshots! What do you think? What do you say it is not needed? the tax return? The marriage certificate is there or course!
  7. Hello everyone, finally my USC wife and I are ready to send the AOS package, with the I-130, I-485, I-765, affidavit of support and medical exam. We were just wondering if the evidence that we have is considered enough or strong for USCIS to corroborate that our marriage is real. We currently have: - Joint lease agreement showing same residency - Joint renters insurance policy - Wife’s retirement plan showing me as the only beneficiary. - Last statement of joint bank account with Bank of America + debit cards + recent movements on the account. - Authorized user on a Chase credit card + screenshot of expenses made with the card. - Additional user on power bill - A couple of sworn affidavits - Emergency contacts - Email, call and text history - Photographic evidence, A LOT (+15 pages), receipts of vacations and plane tickets. That's all we have right now. Filing taxes jointly was an option, but not worth it because we'd have to pay taxes on my foreign income (self employment taxes), and would make us owe to the IRS, when filing married separately would get us (her) a return of over $500. Thank you all
  8. Technically the company's name was (and still is) my name. We call it an "unipersonal" company. Should I put my name in there? Or just Self-employed. I think the latter is more reasonable, but I'm talking from the ignorance.
  9. Yes! that was another question that popped up in my head. When I came to the US I was self-employed. I entered the US 11/26/25, and technically I was off work for vacations (self employed work) until 12/14/25, and then I gave notice I wasn't gonna work with the company I was providing services anymore. So in this case, I just put Self Employed until 12/14/25, even though I was already in the US when that happened? And for the rest perfect, gotcha. Thank you!
  10. Hello, well I'm filing the Form I-130A (wife already filed the I-130), and in the part of employment history I have some questions... Before coming to the US I was self employed, working almost exclusively with one company, but in the end I was self employed. Then, 2 months ago I came to the US and of course haven't worked since. First question, in current employment, I have to put "unemployed" right? and the dates are since I came to the US to this day. Second question, before that, how do I fill my self employed phase? In Name of Employer do I put my name or I just put "Self-employed"? same with address. And in the "occupation" section, do I have to put what my work was? (I was a financial consultant). And lastly, I have had some unemployed months in the past 5 years, do I also have to put them in here? Thank you all so much!
  11. Hello everyone, thank yall for your help. I found a solution. Apparently BOA let you open a joint acc with just your passport and the SSN of your spouse. You just go open an acc online, fill out the form, upload two ID forms (mine was foreign passport and CC card that I got from being an authorized user), and then go to a branch and get them verified in person (can't thank enough to the personnel on the 1800 Macland Rd SW, Marietta, GA 30064 branch), and that's it. You just have to deposit a minimum amount of $25 and you are all set.
  12. I can't apply for SSN, that would be the straightforward solution... In your case you came with a K1 visa. I have a CC on my name since I'm an authorized user on my wife's CC, so that automatically gives me a CC on my name. But these kind of CC doesn't help you build credit history as far as I know
  13. Imma ask about the lease! That would be ideal. About BOA, yes i have a CC on my name, but the letter was on my wife´s name since she asked for the card for me,if that makes sense. Can I do that even without a ITIN?
  14. Yea I'm conscious about that, it's hard. Can I get an ITIN though?
