  1. Hi @S2N thanks, for the advice, this will definitely be our course of action, I will keep this post updated with our advances so other people can use it as reference.
  2. I'm in the process of getting my argentinian citizenship, meaning I might have an opportunity to get my argentinian passport in the within the next 12 month. But let's say that my wife fills out today the I-130 form with my Colombian passport, could she change that later when the DS-260 is required?
  3. I live in Argentina, and I have permanent residency here.
  4. I see, thank you all for providing guidance, I came asking for one thing and you went above and beyond giving me more advice that what I was expecting!
  5. Yes, she is the one filing the I-130. So she should fill out the form with our marriage certificate from Venezuela and my passport should be the Colombian one?
  6. I was thinking in applying using my Venezuelan passport, because our marriage certificate is also from Venezuela. But I also have a Colombian passport. I don't know if we can use that one to apply
  7. Hi @JeanneAdil we never thought of that, but after researching about the DCF. I found that our consulate in Argentina does not usually accept it. Besides my wife hasn't maintained residency in the US or ever filed US tax returns. So I guess we have to try the regular way.
  8. Hi @Dashinka, thanks for your answer. I also understand the same that this doesn't seem to affect my case. I think I'm going to give it a try and submit my application anyways!
  9. Hello @TBoneTX, thank you for your welcome! No CR-1 we've been married for more than two years, 8 years to be precise. Do you think that this will help us?
  10. Hello everyone, in light of the emergency Immigration Memo manifest law that pauses application from this list of countries: Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, June, are Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela. I was wondering If My wife and I should wait before submitting our application of the I-130 form until things clear out. She is a US citizen and we are living in other country but we were about to send our application when this news broke. Maybe this doesn't apply to the new applicants? And only affects the ongoing applications and the green cards already issued?
