Which passport number should I enter when purchasing a plane ticket when traveling with both passports since the old one has a valid visa?

Sorry for opening a new topic, but I wanted to be sure. I traveled to the United States and they sent me back and took away my ESTA. I had to apply for a tourist visa and get it, and I've been traveling to the United States without any problems. I've never had any problems since. But now my passport is expiring and the visa is still valid. Do I have to travel with the one and old passport right?

Hello, I have a important question. I have a visa but my passport is going to expire in the next few days. What should I do now? Do I have to travel with both the old and new passport? Another question is, in my country they usually cut the passport along the side when you are going to renew it. Is this normal as long as they don't touch my visa page? Thanks for the help!
