Hey hey! I wanted to know if this info is still up to date. When my K1 case is approved and I receive the NOA2, I need to wait until it shows ''Case Ready''. After that I can complete the DS-160 and pay the $265 fee, right? I just know the DS-160 will expire 30 days if not finished, but if I finish it then it's okay, right? Or USCIS delays might affect the situation? Also, question for those who have completed their DS-160, did the webpage after finishing it asked you to pay the fee and then after paying you were able to choose the interview date? Or did you need to visit completely different page to pay the fee and book the interview? Ahhh, and another question - for the DS-160 - should I be picking that K1 is a non-immigrant visa or immigrant visa? Because I remember someone saying that there is a little detail when filling the DS-160. It was the same when You're at the U.S. embassy that you need to pick immigrant visa or the opposite.. I don't remember.. I checked this 👇 but it doesn't mention DS-160 and it says that the Embassy issues Beneficiary with Interview date, but what I understand from everyone that when they have paid for DS-160 they immediately can book their interview date by themselves.

Hello! I'm overthinking a bit and I want to be as prepared as possible for the interview (I haven't received NOA2 yet, but I like to gather the info so I'm prepared) I was wondering if I ever needed to mention in our 129f case that we'll have a joint sponsor? I understood that joint sponsor need to be mentioned on the next steps - at the interview. I want to know if this is correct and if I'm missing something: I'll need to bring I-134 from both - the petitioner and the joint sponsor, signed with wet, black ink signatures. It can be scanned, right? Like, they would sign their own I-134 and then scan it and send it to me and I print them out. 1. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions with deposits, identifying the following details regarding the account: A. Date account opened; B. Total amount deposited for the past year; and C. Present balance. 2. Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery showing: A. Date and nature of employment; B. Salary paid; and C. Whether the position is temporary or permanent. 3. Copy of last U.S. federal income tax return filed (tax transcript). If you did not file a Federal tax return, or if your Federal tax return does not properly reflect your current income, submit copies of consecutive pay statements (stubs) for a minimum of the past month, recent Form W-2, or Form SSA-1099. 4. List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s). Do I understand right that the petitioner and the joint sponsor also need to add W2's from the past three years, and pay slips from the jobs that they have worked at in these past 3 years, and 1040's from the past three years, and IRS tax transcripts from the past three years? Thank you in advance!

To be honest I have no idea.. I just read somewhere that some states require a Certificate of No Marriage when you're getting married and you're from a country outside the U.S. -

Now I have another new question! From everyone's experience - did you need to prove that you're not married? I think I read somewhere that I would need a document from my country, translated and notarized, proving that I'm not married. I guess it's better to get it to be extra safe -

Thank You so much! About 2. - When I get the SSN, is it easy to update it with my new last name? -
Hello! I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong topic. I have several questions regarding K1 visa. I have a lot of questions Please, be nice, that's what I've decided, so these are the questions for those who have done that and are okay with it. 1. Question to those who have changed the last name after getting married. As I understand, after getting married, we'll receive a marriage certificate. Where should I go to legally change my last name after marriage? I know that I would need to take the certificate with me, of course. Do I also need to go to my country's embassy in the US to change my passport (my full new name) too? And when I apply for Adjustment of Status, am I going to be able to apply with my new last name? 2. I heard somewhere, that when you arrive to the US with the K1 visa you can immediately apply for Social Security number. Is that true? In that case, I should be using my current full name, right? Although, for some reason, I think I read somewhere that I could write my soon-to-be husband's last name as mine. If you have any other extra info I would really appreciate it!

At least You figured it out! 😊 And thank you for updating us! It will be very useful! Did you already have your visa interview? If so could you tell us how did it go and other specific stuff, like what they asked etc., if you can of course Thanks in advance! -
Hello! This is a question for those who decided to get married without any proposal/engagement ring and went to the K1 visa interview. I was wondering what did you say when they asked you ‘How did he propose’? I read on the internet that it’s one of the most popular questions that are asked at the embassy. Can I say that he didn’t propose to me, but since we love each other so much, we decided that we want to get married? Does it somehow affect chances of getting visa approved or not? I mean, I’m sure it shouldn’t, but still, I would like to know more info! I would like to hear your experience! Thanks in advance 😊
