  1. Finally updated status to "Approved" today, took 7 work days slowly but surely moving along.
  2. Figured I'll post a lil refresher and update. Had my interview October 8th, was given a 221(g) requesting a court certified copy of my fiancés previous divorce decree, along with a verbal confirmation that as soon as I got the papers submitted they "will go ahead and approve your visa" I got one and sent it in the day after on October 9th. I checked my CEAC status for the first time on October 10th, status was "Ready", it then updated from Ready to Ready on the 11th, 15, 20th 22nd 23rd, and then again later on the 23rd it updated to "Application Recieved" and this is where I currently am. The wait coninues
  3. In sweden we don't really have birth certificates, so we get "person evidence" from our IRS instead so I brought an original of those to my interview. In hindsight from my own situation with having a copy of my fiances divorce decree and not a certified copy of that and now looking and maybe 2 months or longer delays because of it I would get certified copies of your BC just in case more as a "rather have a certified copy and not need it, instead of not having it certified but needing it"
  4. Nothing on their birth certificate, though we had submitted a copy of that during the I-129F. Our Case is now in administrative Processing as of October 15th, hoping for a a fast turn around.
  5. Just had my interview at the Stockholm embassy today, so writing down my experiences for those who are about to go there. Were 2 lines at security, K-1 as others here have mentioned can use the shorter immigration interview line, They started letting people in at 8 am, once through you are asked to keep along a path up to the main building, and are ushered onto one of the windows. I was asked to provide 2 photos, my passport, my birth certificate, police certificate and my fiancés divorce decree, due to the different nature of her divorce (her ex left US and filed in another country, sweden coincidentally) my fiancé dosn't have originals, so I could only provide copies of those, I was told I'll have to get originals but I was still good for my interview. I am going to the courthouse to pick those up as of writing this. Sat down maybe 20 mins to wait before getting called up to a window. Was a very relaxed interview, and I got asked these questions: Can you tell me about how and when you met? So you've known eachother a long time huh? (Friends since 09, started dating shortly after her divorce in 23) What does your fiancé do for a living? Do you know how much she makes? What do you do for a living here in sweden? Do either of you have kids? Have either of you been married? Then I was told: we are gonna need you to send us court certified copies of your Fiancées divorce decree then we are gona go ahead and approve your application. Was out and calling my fiancé with the good news by 8:47.
  6. I just had my interview today there, after submitting my DS-160 I could log onto the website to schedule my interview. We scheduled it on September 15th ish and was 1 time slot available on tuesdays and thursdays for the first 2 weeks in october at the time. I was in and out in about 50 mins once at the embassy, got approved pending submitting one additional document (only had copies of my fiancés divorce decree and have to submit originals) Good luck with your process! You got this
  7. So like many others here our papers had been stuck with USCIS as an approved I-129F for about 2 1/2 months before they finally shipped it to the NVC (approved april 21st, shipped July 1) We then waited 5 weeks before calling NVC (August 5th) instead of making a personal inquery to see if we could get our case number, alas NVC had yet to recieve our papers from USCIS at that date. Yesterday (August 12th) just a week after we finally get a letter from NVC! Opening it expecting our welcome letter, but nope, it was the notification that our application had been processed and sent on to the embassy here in sweden! It already being done at NVC and shipped. Since there has been such delays for several people with the USCIS to NVC stage as of late I figured I'd post our situation to give people some hope and send well wishes that others get as lucky with their process as we did.
  8. So from what I can tell on the trends here and with my own case, the history comes out to 86 days from NoA2 til NVC recieves, my own case is currently sitting at 112 days though and still no "NVC recieved", so the process is falling further behind. Further dividing the NoA2 to NVC Recieved alot of people are reporting about 2 months from NoA2 to "Case sent to the departement of state" (NVC), took our case 76 days. The waiting is rough and it seems things are getting slower and slower, just hang in there!
  9. We got our NOA2 on April 17th, got shipped to DOS on July 1st (10 weeks), still no word from NVC if it has arrived at NVC yet (5 Weeks)
  10. We are in a similar situation, got our NOA2 on April 17th 2025, case got shipped to NVC on July 1st 2025, still waiting on welcome letter.
  11. I am in the same situation, got our approval on April 18th, and still not arrived at NVC, done both a public inquery and a mail question to the NVCResearch e-mail, awaiting response still from our repeat question after 60 days, but you're not alone in this situation OP, seems alot of folks with NOA2s after April 8th has yet to get their NVC notices
  12. when I filed a DS-160 for a visitors visa back in in 2023 I got my interview on a date someone had cancelled, so it does happen To answer an earlier question Finnish applicants also come to sweden for their applications and interviews
  13. We are still awaiting our NOA2 but applicant from sweden here. Adding it to follow your progress and sharing my own I had to file with this embassy back in Jan 2023 for visitors visa (lost WVP back in 2011) and that process was fairly quick, took about 2 months from aplication to getting my passport back. One thing that does come to mind that you could try looking into is where you can claim your passport after your visa's have been completed, as I had to pick mine up in Stockholm aswell. Best of luck to you all
