They are not from the 19 countries, if that was the reason for asking. -

My wife's and son's interview got cancelled. They received an email from uscisdistrictoffce42@uscis.dhs.gov, but we don't see any change when we login and check the status at https://my.uscis.gov/. The status still mentions "Interview Was Scheduled". What could be the reason for his cancellation? Note that both the interviews got cancelled. They applied on different dates (2-3 days difference), but the interview was on the same day. Also, since https://my.uscis.gov/ still shows the status as "Interview Was Scheduled" with no cancellation notice, is it required (or is it worth) to ignore the email and go for the interview? -

They both got their interview notice within a week I posted this. The weird thing is they both got their notice the same day and their interview is also on the same day. Moreover, they submitted their N400 application on different days. -

Hi, we (my wife, my son, and I) submitted our N400 application around the same time in April. I completed my interview in September and also the oath a couple of weeks after my interview. But neither my wife nor son have received even the interview notice so far. Is this within the normal? -

There is nothing to be nervous for oath. It is a simple ceremony, with hardly anything which can be of a surprise. Regarding proof of citizen, this is what it says - "In general, you must provide your U.S. birth certificate or U.S. passport. Other documents you may provide are a Consular Report of Birth, Certificate of Citizenship, or Certificate of Naturalization". So, you can go ahead with social security. Note that you will have to wait for a few days to get the info sync with SSA. -

Hi, my wife and I applied around the same time. I got naturalized a few weeks ago but my wife is yet to receiver her interview date. When submitting her N400 application, she specified "No" for "other names used since birth" (part 2, question 2). Even though she never used a different name earlier, her name was split differently on different occasions. Is it possible that the delay might be due to this? Is it worthwhile to submit an addendum with these details thru USCIS (unsolicited documents)? Name on Passport (non-US passport): Surname: [Blank] Given Name: X Y Name on Green card (issued in 2020): Surname: Y Given Name: X Name on L2A Visa (issued in 2018): Surname: Y Given Name: X Name on B1/B2 Visa (issued in 2009): Surname: X Y Given Name: FNU -

My oath notice clearly said 'no relatives'. I saw several people come with a companion, but the companion was not allowed inside the oath ceremony hall. I saw one mother whose teenage daughter was in the back rows, not sure how she sneaked in. May she had some justification. -

Our dates are close, most of them. July 29 - interview notice September 9 - Interview September 9 - Recommended to be approved & Place in line for Oath Ceremony September 26 - Oath ceremony I submitted my N400 application on April 12th. By the way, I applied for a passport and selected expedited processing and 1-2 day delivery service, since I may travel shortly. Any idea when I can expect the passport? -

I had my interview today and see an update on USCIS portal (oath ceremony notice was mailed). Does anyone know in how many days approximately will (i) I see the notice on the USCIS portal, and (2) I receive the notification in the mail? -

Any questions on 'good moral character'? Also, do we have to memorize some aspects from the N400 application? For example, dates on which we were out of the country etc. -

Did they ask any questions regarding Good Moral Character, especially "community involvement" etc.? -

I saw some weird update today. The USCIS website says "Case is still being processed by USCIS". Note that the date of the update is same as the previous update when I applied (April). The update before this new update was "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS". I think this is happening to all applications, since I saw this update for my spouse and kid too. Did anybody see this at their end? Does this mean anything bad or good? -

Yeah, I too think so, since my spouse's application showed the same on the anniversary date. -

Today I saw an update in the JSON response ("updatedAt": "2025-07-10" etc.). There is no update to the events. Incidentally, today I complete 5 years of my GC issuance. Any idea if this update is due to my 5-year completion, or did somebody really touch my application? -

I applied last night, status = "case was received and a receipt was sent". My wife applied a little while ago, status = "case is being actively reviewed by USCIS". Her status is one step ahead of mine. Is this usual? -
