liveralittle reacted to Edward and Jaycel in Passport Return Call = Visa accepted?
I wish I had some insight to share, sometimes the CEAC status can lag behind actual events.... Please let us know what you get back when the passport is returned

Check following site to know status/
If visa issued it should say so
If still in AP, it should say so
If denied , it should say that

liveralittle reacted to Edward and Jaycel in Dropping off passports – How long until results?
One of our community members here just had to do the same recently at the Manila Consulate and it took them 2-3 weeks to process once they received her passport back. That's no guarantee obviously because it is the US Government and consistency is not their strong point but it's a pretty good benchmark since hers just happened in March.

Depends on the reason for the 221g and what background checks still need to he done. Not helpful I know but it can be anywhere from days to months to even longer. There’s no set timescale but assuming there’s nothing else needing checking hopefully it won’t be too long.
Please fill in your timeline to help others whilst you’re waiting.
Good luck.

liveralittle reacted to maryaaaa in Medical Exam Delayed –– Still eligible for US Embassy Interview? (SLEC)
Were you vaccinated on March 31st? Or received an envelope with the CD?
You can still proceed with the interview and be given a pink slip (221g) Status will remain Refused until SLEC transmit your results to USEM. You will get an email from SLEC, then you can send your passport to the embassy.

I know that all of this waiting and uncertainty is agonizing, but please hang in there. Stay strong. You’ve come a long way and you’re almost at the finish line. Go to your scheduled interview so that you can get that out of the way. Because your medical won’t quite be finished, the nice Embassy officer will kindly give you a 221g which will allow you to have extra time to complete your medical. My Pinay K-1 fiancée received a 221g at her interview, and now we’ve been happily married for over 15 years. There is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Best wishes.

You can check my timeline below how long mine took. But this is case to case basis.

Embassies vary but my understanding is that generally if the medical results are not received at the point of interview, they will just issue a 221g pending the results. This does not mean denied, just that they refuse to issue the visa before having all required documents.
I think this is a common issue for people, as it can be tricky to get the timing right. In my own experience, my medical was 1 week before my interview and I was fully prepared for a 221g as everything said to allow a minimum of 2 weeks between them, but those were the only dates I could make work due to work commitments and needing to travel 250 miles each way to and from the medical/embassy. Luckily, it didn't come to that for me but I would advise you come to terms with the possibility too.

liveralittle reacted to maryaaaa in Psych Evaluation due to Self-harm Scars (SLEC)
You'll be okay, I promise. It costs 3,500 right? What I can suggest is during the conversation, do not dwell much on the bad experience but focus on talking about what you did to overcome it, speak with positivity, how peaceful and healed you feel.
Wishing you goodluck!

I don't think so. Other applicants I made friends with during DOT underwent psych evaluation too due to scars in her arm and the other was due to excessive. She was asked about it, and more about what she feel about herself now. You'll get through it They are in the US now.
