There are more steps to this process to do but but importantly, she’s finally here with me. I’m unbelieving I’m seeing her presence after 3 years since I flew to see her in June of 2022.

Mary Arrived Seattle 8:05pm and I waited about an hour for her to appear. Getting her luggage was the long wait. She said customs was quick.

Now we know. They probably released it knowing she can travel up to the date it expires at midnight to make it to the United States. Expired visa once in country is not a concern like a tourist visa etc. The K1 extends to 90 days.

Thanks for the great information. She will go Monday as walk in. Turns out that she qualifies under documents soon to expire to attend the session. Since government is closed on the weekend to help with the scheduling problem, allowing her to walk in is a blessing. I found through ASAP a fare leaving 4:45pm Monday arriving 7:45 pm Seattle. I live in Tacoma, so more comfortable port of call is Seattle than San Francisco which she might not make her transfer. Anyway will let you guys know Monday. Thanks for praying.

I know it’s difficult to understand what had happened. I accidentally chose PDOS instead of GDP. It would not allow me to put the Monday session. I tried and I tried. It had 21 seats available. Realizing I had the wrong session, I entered GDP to schedule it and I got a message stating this client is already scheduled. I found on their Facebook on walk ins that she can go there if documents are expiring. So this is good news. There is an air fare for 4:45 departure $680. Just lost $632 for the 19th. They are holding it for 24 hrs for me to commit ASAP booking.

I tried making the appointment on line and it failed. It would not allow me to enter the date. Now it’s saying after repeating the process the client has an appointment. It did not allow me to finish the application so no barcode we need to show them. They are closed till Monday 7:30. She has to take it Monday. Latest flight is 12pm. Did you guys go to set it up and completed in a day?

Thanks. Sorry been busy with everything but here is my story. It started in the beginning when I realized how difficult it was to obtain the biometric appointment. As I struggled with this, I feared the medical was also going in the same direction. On Feb 11 the medical appointment became available and I took it. In the appointment application it asked for interview date. I told her that we will let them know once a date is available. I thought this date was needed for them to have her records ready. I did not think much on it. Mary told me they made her sign a waiver. For what? To acknowledge it will expire in 6 months. No where in the application this was stated. Would I have reconsidered delaying to schedule? With the uncertainty of any appointment scheduling I might have taken the gamble. Scheduling was certainly the major problem and delays caused by prescreening. Each required an interview reschedule. The first one, missing an Advisory of Marriage paper. This was totally unfamiliar to us. I certainly did not see this as one of the documents needed. We never heard of it. Second visit there was a discrepancy with her birth name. The birth certificate had Marianne. Her passport had Mary Ann. Another trip to correct this. On the third visit they asked for a Cenomar on me. Isn’t this for people marrying there? Also, the DS-160 had some changes to correct. It had her Maiden name not her married name. God was speaking to the screener and she allowed her to obtain the Cenomar and make correction within the hour. It cost me $100 that she was concerned about but it was worth it. If it weren’t for the scheduling issues and the repetitive trips, we would’ve avoided this situation. I told her not to wait for another call but go to VAC to let them know she was told it would be ready to pick up. It’s now 12:30 pm and they still don’t have it at the VAC. It’s not looking promising. How long will CFO take to release her. Just got word she got her Visa at 1:30 but CFO is now closed for US bound. Only in the mornings. Monday morning but wondering if I risk buying a ticket for the latest flight at 12pm. Can she still fly out on the 21st or 22nd visa expires.

Thanks, I screen shot your message and sent it to her. I called yesterday when I received the “issue” and they said to wait to be contacted by email or phone. Within a few hours, Mary was called. I did not receive an email notice. She said someone will call her today. They also put urgent. She’s traveling from Santa Cruz, Lubao and Friday is not her color code to use the freeway. I hope all goes well.

Is appointment needed to pick up the visa? They called her and said will be available Friday.

Yes I will contact them to get that cleared. Thanks. Learned my lesson when they were asking for a letter of confirmation pertaining to the biometrics appointment. I did not know that without the interview appointment, biometrics gets cancelled. She showed up for the appointment not knowing it was cancelled which explains the letter was not sent. Yup there is a letter for everything with VSC. Thanks for the info.

Wow! Can’t get any closer to 12pm departure on the 19th. I see on the scheduling portal that it says pick up. I made the change to save time. I hope it is correct. When it changes to issue it is already available to get it?
