I am sorry to see you have been waiting so long! YUCK! And I can't believe it took over 2 months just for you to get the NOA1 !!!! This is horrible! I can't understand how some people fly through with no problems and others (us) have to wait so long with no explanation.

I'm in the same boat as you. April 23rd NOA1 and still waiting, waiting, waiting........

I have tried the congressman twice, nothing was accomplished. I have not tried the senator yet.

Please join us in the 6+ months waiting room thread. We try to help each other and comiserate.

Other then that just visit as much as possible. we have had 4 trips to see each other so far and

Greger is coming to meet me in Canada in Feb.

Thank you everyone for thinking of me and the rest of us UNLUCKY ones on this site. As far as I can tell my case is stuck in the "background check" which I guess means the FBI. I have been asking everyone I know if they know anyone who works for the FBI and no dice.

I am wondering if there is some way we can contact the FBI and see what the problem is???

I'm depressed and jealous. I was hoping for my NOA2 for christmas and it just didn't happen.

I'm jealous of all the people on here I see getting there NOA2's.

Don't worry Skeez, we have all been there. We have good days and bad. Some days you feel so depressed and sad and that it will NEVER happen and other days you have hope. The worst part for me is feeling so HELPLESS. I feel like there is a force field around USCIS that can never be penetrated. I also am constantly imagining the USCIS employees being lazy and hardly doing any work. It's probably not true, but this is just so frustrating. I definately understand why so many people enter this country illegally. Doing it legally is PAINFUL and exhausting.

This is a good place to whine and complain. We are the only ones who knows what you are going through. I'm sure most of us have never prayed as hard as we have during this time, so I guess we may have gained an increase in faith during this time. I just keep chanting to myself two things. #1 Everything happens for a reason. #2 Gods greatest gifts can be unanswered prayers. I know our relationship has deepened and stregthened during this time and also my families ties with him. I guess that might not have happened if we didn't have this waiting time.

If you have not done so already I suggest you contact your congressman. After I talked to mine I got 3 touches. I didn't get approved yet, but at least I know my file is not lost under a desk somewhere.

Yeah - this is really the only thread I can look at without getting depressed. It's really upsetting for me to see people from AUGUST getting approved cause I thought I would have MY approval in August when they were just filing!

OMG!!!!!! I am SOOOOOO HAPPY to see someone from the 6 month club get approved. I was starting to think that after 6 months they just threw the case away and we would NEVER get approved! This gives me hope!
