Well, this just made me think of another question. For the address and dates, it says to put from the age of 16. Well my husband lived there from the day he was born, so i put his birth date till PRESENT. Will that be fine or should i have put the date of when he turned 16 to present?

Quick update. I am sure some of you might like this news that are still waiting for case complete and an interview for november. I called NVC and asked her that if they are going to schedule interviews through next week or will it end this week. She said that sometimes we go to the 3rd week and we have NOT heard anything that we are stopping this week. She said, so most likely we will do it through next week.

Quick ?: How do you know the DS-3032 has been accepted? Should I be receiving the I-864 in the mail? Will print it out but just wondering what is the next step from NVC.

When you go to the payment website for NVC, the IV bill will show NOT PAID. That means it was accepted. If it still says NOT INVOICED then nvc didnt accept it just yet! if this helps any, nvc received my ds-3032 on the 2nd in the mail and on the 3rd i was able to pay my IV bill online because the status changed from NOT INVOICED to NOT PAID.

So what I've gathered is that an attested translation of the ID card is NOT compulsory.

Our new concern is the marriage certificate. We have an original Nikkah nama in Urdu, AND in English (got two of them, for the visa). We sent the English version when filing the petition. Now I just read here that

The marriage certificate for Muslims, the Nikah Nama, is registered with a Nikah Registrar, who is appointed by the municipality, Panchayat committee, cantonment board or union council. The original is always in Urdu, although attested translations may be provided. Because of frequent marriage fraud, many foreign embassies require wedding photographs in addition to the nikah nama or other certificate as proof of marriage.

We're thinking of getting a translation of the Urdu nikkah nama just in case, but who has to attest that? Who attested the translated version of your nikkah nama?

Yes, a copy of the ID card is NOT required. Sorry for the confusion guys. I can't help you on the nikkah nama because our paperwork was for the Fiancee visa.

Regarding the vaccination shots. I am not sure which ones are required. I have heard that they are not needed at the time of the medical because those can be given here in the US when you apply for AOS. I think if you go to the website of the Islamabad Embassy, they have some information regarding vaccinations under their visa services section.

Just seeing what you guys think. Lets say the case is complete on 15th, 16th or 17th which "possibly" is the last day to schedule interviews. Do you think they will schedule you for an interview for november if your case is complete on their last day of scheduling interviews?

If your case is completed before they finish scheduling the interviews, then its still possible you could get a November one provided there is still room at your embassy.

got AOS bill today in the mail , paid online, what happens next?

As soon as your status changes to PAID, print out the barcode sheet and sent in your AOS package.

Was your choice of agent accepted yet? If you have sent it in already and not sure if it was accepted yet or not check if your IV bill says "not invoiced" or not paid. If it says not invoiced then it hasnt been accepted yet but if it says not paid then go ahead and pay it! Then just follow save steps as above like you will for AOS - print barcode and mail your ds-230 package!

2 questions:

1. Can an operator at NVC tell me when my DS3032 has been generated or should I just wait for the first mailing from them?

2. My brother is going to be my sponsor, he does not live with me, and will this be a problem?

Yes, they NVC operator can tell you if it was generated yet or not. I mailed off the hard copy that same day on overnight! Then a day later it was accepted making the IV bill available to pay online. This will save you alot of time. I was actually even able to get the IIN number from her also. Lately people are having problems obtaining it from the operators but thank god that i was able to get it on the first time i asked!

Ok, so since my I-864 now says PAID online, i can print the barcode sheet and mail the package tomorrow. I was going through my forms again and just want to make sure on this question.

On the I-864 part 3 question 8, it ask "I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above." Which i checked off because i am the ONLY sponsor. but then right below it has a "Yes / No (Applicable only in cases with two joint sponsors)". What do i do here, do i check mark it yes or do i not check it at all? The example Ii864 here on this site has marked yes and that form only has the petitioner as the sponor.

What have all of you guys done for your I-864's? Your advice will really be helpful as i am mailing the packet tomorrow!

Does anyone know if this online thing could get updated like anytime throughout the day? Or is it only updated like every 24 hours? Meaning, could i keep checking every few hours and it could change to "Paid"? Anyone notice on their cases if in the morning it still says in process and by the afternoon it says paid?

Because of unique transaction codes, you'll have to wait for your IV Fee Bill to be paid, and then print the barcode sheet.

Ok... so I will just wait to print out the barcode sheet as soon as it says PAID, hopefully by today if not then for sure tomorrow. Just like you said, a friday or saturday mail out date will really not matter as they wont look at it till Monday anyways. Definetely we going the aggressive way rather then the safe way just because we have checked the documents like crazy and read everything there is to read on errors. YOU are not on the safe path....you're on the aggressive path.

You can't afford to wait for things to post....although now, a Friday or Saturday package will be received at the same time.

Again...most people here want safety over speed. YOU want speed, and an aggressive completion on your case. That means you have to

work differently, think differently, and yes even be treated differently. That said, the gloves are off.

You need to get your a$$ in gear. You should've sent the AOS package yesterday at the latest.

Where's your IV Package? Where's your DS-3032?

If you even DREAM about getting a case complete by Oct. 17th, you need to get moving.

NOTE- The above is a very radical approach...the VJ community is usually much kinder, and suggests safer methods and cautions against sending in documents too early. But this is an extreme case...kind of like preparing Gov. Palin for a debate. It requires tough love. I am a september approval but i thought i would come to you guys for advice. I really really want to do everything in my power to try to get a november interview date. so, here's my question.My IV bill should be invoiced tomoorow for me to pay it. I want to be able to mail off the ds-230 package by Monday to NVC but the issue is we dont have the police report yet, willl have by wednesday. So, i was thinking to mail the ds-230 package wihtout the police report on monday, so atleast the processing can begin and then by wednesday or thursday, mail the police report separtely and just tell them i forgot to add it in. What do you guys think, will this work or cause it to delay even more? I was thinking if i mail the police report by wednesday then there isnt enough time for them to issue the rfe and they can just put itwith my paperwork. Any advice guys?

Its kind of cool to do it this way but you should always put some room aside in case NVC got confused and screwed up your case.

If I were in your position and I knew for sure that PCC will be in my hand by Wed. I would wait till then and overnight the whole package. I am sure you take full responsibility of your action here, but what if the officer look at your case day after NVC recieves it which is Wed and your PCC is not there, BANG, RFE is on its way.

I have told everyone and you on top of it, make sure your forms are all filled out and PART I signed and PART II unsigned. Double check question 20 and make sure you have all dates on the form.

Double check all of your evidence.

Don't risk for an RFE for couple days.

If i wait and NVC gets my documents by thursday the 9th, i really truly doubt that our case will be completed by the 15th, so we could maybe get a november date. I'll go against Sir Saint Nimche the Good and Gold.

If you were trying to be as safe as possible, you should probably wait until you have everything.

But you're not trying to be as safe, you're trying to be as aggressive in getting your case complete.

Given that, if you go conservative...you're right, you most likely won't get a November interview.

If you go aggressive, there's a small chance, and the worst case is that you're back to the conservative timeline.

The key is...TRIPLE check everything you're sending in. Get someone that's not involved, show them the instructions, and THEN

have them look over your paperwork. Do a search for "Stupid RFE" on the forum. Make sure you're aware of all the things that can be avoided.

Send off your IV Package on Saturday, use USPS express...do not require a signature.

As soon as you have your PCC, send it express, but send it (with the barcode sheet) to ATTN: DR (instead of ATTN: CMR).

Part of your plan HAS to be calling NVC twice a day to find out if you have an RFE. Call once before 5pm, and after 5pm.

You're asking for a lot to happen before Oct. 17th, but it's possible.

Really confused on how to go about this. Both our petitions were approved on the 19th and sent to NVC. NVC forwaded the I-129F to Islamabad consulate yesterday! We want to just follow the CR1 route now since it was approved. What should we be doing? What are the options?

Can I ignore any coressponence that we receive for the k3? like the packet 3 which we are supposed to be receiving? If i ignore this for the CR1 route will it just cancel everything all together?

Or, do i need to just follow the k3 too and hope that the CR1 interview is before the k3 interview?

I posted this on the forum but only got one reply. I just want to make sure with what all you guys have done too since you are almost done with the NVC part. Here is my question:

On part 3, question 8 - i checked it because i am the sponsor of the principal immigrant. But what is confusing me is the one thing right below it. If i am the only sponsor and do not have a joint sponsor am i suppose to leave it blank or what? On the example form it was checked yes and the example for did not have any joint sponsors either. The reason i am confused is because right next to it, it says (only applicable for in cases with joint sponsors). Anyone with experience could you please help me.
