i have been looking the ticket for my wife, the prices is ridiculous high, air france is aking $1200, singpore air $1400 and so on, thats also for one way ticket from bombay to lax.

she had a lawyer do all filling for her 2 years go and now she will be removing the lawyer for the NVC and i will be doing this process for her from now on.

Hey, I almost have the same situation as she does but I upgraded in July and my case was touched from the first day of upgrading. I am wonder why it took them so much to look at her case.

Good for you that it got touch the next day you upgraded, and my cousin case got touched 60 days after the lawyers mailed in her paperwork to upgrade her file.

She is my cousin and I recently finished my NVC process and as I know all the stuff from reading this site, and I will tell her what to do and how to do it and I am not charge her any money as she is my cousin.

As you know from my previous posts, my case is done and now waiting for the interview to happen in sept.

Now i will be working on my cousins case who filled her I-130 for husband in july 2006 as a greencard holder and upgraded his file in june 2008 to US citizen, got first tocuh on 8/14, 8/15 and 8/21

and now i am expecting an approval any day now as i know the paperwork is good as she had a lawyer do all filling for her 2 years go and now she will be removing the lawyer for the NVC and i will be doing this process for her from now on.

this time is my 2nd time and hope to avoid the mistakes which were the first time around.

Same condition here too, for my cousin case who applied for I-130 2 1/2 ago, in June upgraded the file to us citizen and his file has been touched 3 times in past 1 week and still waiting for his approval

Please suggest when should i expect my interview date at Delhi consulate .

My case got complete in NVC on 15 August 08 .

expect an October date for your interview and it should be scheduled during the first 2 weeks of Sept.

That is fast compared to how long it takes them to send documents. Congrats.

They have to send the document asap, as I have only 3 weeks to interview and in that time I have to finish the medical also.

Got the interview letter in the mail today from, NVC within 7 days of interview date being assigned.

I just received the interview letter in mail today from NVC, as NVC has issued the interview date last Thursday and got the interview letter on Wednesday, I was surprised to see the letter this early from NVC.

now next step medical exam . on AUG 26

Let me know how the interview goes, and by the way i saw your reply about document to submit at VFS, and you said they did not take the medical report, after reading your post, I email the mumbai consulate and they told me that the medical report has to be submitted prior to interview or they will delay the interview, and they told me the medical report is REQUIRED to be submit at least 10 days before the interview,so they can have enough time to review it

so if i were you, i would go and submit the medical report or the you might be in trouble in getting your interview delayed..

My wife is going to have her Medical next week and after that she will going to VFS office in Mumbai by end of next week to submit . I want to know what paperwork has to be submitted before the interview.

My husband submitted the documents at VFS office in Ahmedabad. I am sure, it will be the same process and almsot same documents.. No need to take the medical report..

1. 2 passport copies,

2. Two 2x2 pictures,

3. 2 copies of appointment letter

4. Rs. 365 for courier fees and also take the original passport as they will stick some kind of number in back of the passport page.. that's it..

Thanks, I called one of my relatives who went through the same procedure and he said Medical report is required to be submitted to the VFS in order for the interview to happen.

looks like you will have a problem if the medical report is not submitted at VFS before the interview date,. as it is stated on the VFS site at https://www.vfs-usa.co.in/ApplnForms/ImmVisasWestEast.aspx

so you need to call or email the embassy regarding your medical report

Too late to edit...but can the PCC be requested by mail/fax/phone??? Anything other than in person? Due to various jobs/school he's resided in a couple of cities more than 6 months since the age of 16 and I think there may be an issue in having him literally go from city to city to get the certs.

It has to be done in person to get the PCC, and you can email the embassy how many pcc will be needed.

I just checked DHL site and the package has been delivered at consulate on Aug 18.

and also Bani. what documents did your husband submit at the VFS.

my case reached the mumbai consulate on aug 18 2008 according to dhl
