hi all, one of my friend who applied for CR1 just got her AOS fee bill and copy of the DS-3032 she told me the IIN # is on the AOS fee bill so she went ahead and paid it online, so i guess no need to call NVC 50 times trying to get the #...

PCC is Police Clearance Certificate. my wife is from Surat.

Gaurav wait till u get the missing doc list from NVC ...once u get that have ur wife take that to the passport office for PCC. i know a'bad passport office did not accept NOA2 for issuing a PCC, they clearly need the missing doc list or some kind of a interview letter.

Our case completed at NVC on August 27th after RFE received on august 15th, I checked from Automatic System.

Waiting the interviwe date will be available.

how long it will take to get interview date based on experiance

Did you send original mmarriage certificate to NVE...lot of people say NVC requires original MC. I don't think so.

ya i sent in the org. marriage cert, org. birth cert (Gujarati n English notarized) , org. PCC

But the instructions for filing I-130 does not require the originals. It asks for a copy only.

I130(USCIS) requires copy of marriage cert, DS-230 (NVC) requires org./certified docs (marriage, birth, pcc, etc)

Does anyone one know if they keep track of no. of times we call in to NVC customer service rep?

I would hate an operator to tell me, " The answer has not changed since your call this morning."

Hey guys ..here is my situation ..I did see aos fee invoiced on 8/22/08 , so i paid fee immediately , showed paid status on 8/23 , then i did overnight 864 &DS3032 on 8/25 ,they received on 8/26 per usps.But i checked AVR yesterday ,it says "AOS fee received on 8/23 please allow 4to 6 weeks for further instructions." it doeas not say AOS /DS3032 is generated...blah blah

Did i do anything wrong ??Do i get any RFE for this ?i just followed COMBO (loto and james shortcuts) guide..I think AVR is lagging behind ...

I guess i need to call them tomorrow.

NOTE:****08/23/08 I-864 bill status "PAID" online(saturday) but AVR message says " case number assigned ...wait

6-8 weeks blah .....blah

most likely u will hear Ds-3032 received n couple days later IV fee bill generated...i never got the AVR to say anything about i864 received or completed

I just called NVC and operator told me that PCC was missing from the checklist... I have already sent PCC from local police station, Do I also need PCC from passport if the passport is less than 6 months old?

if the passport is less then six months old you only need PCC from the PASSPORT ISSUING OFFICE. you do not need a local PCC..

The website showed AOS bill as invoiced so I went ahead and paid it. At the same time I mailed out the DS-3032.

Except that the NVC phone system still gives the "The case number assigned..." message so it seems like they haven't even generated the DS-3032? What's going on here..

they just assigned a case # to your case...the AOS n DS-3032 has NOT been generated as of yet..even though the online system says its invoiced..but its really not invoiced per NVC..

biren ..i havent talk to NVC yet (cant get through with the phone) but i m sure its gonna be a week or 2 before i get the date...hope you get your case completed real soon....

Does anyone have the number to hear the NVC automated response about my case #. i see people talk about NVC Auto response voice message about our case. but when i call, i always end up talking to a live operator. is it the same as 603-334-0700 or a different #?

you are LUCKY cuz i call that # 10 times a day and 9/10 times i get the automated system...yes its the same # 603-334-0700 opt. 1, 1, 2 (if you have your nvc case #) then it will give u info on your case.

i got my case # on friday from NVC. I asked the operator for the IIN #, and she didnt know what IIN # was, then i told her, its needed to pay the AOS Fee. she told me that it takes 2-4 weeks. is that true? when did you guys receive your AOS Fee Bill after your case # was assigned to you?

it was within like a week...for me it was generated within 5 days and took another 6 days to come in the mail..
