  1. My fiancee has her CFO GCP appointment this coming Wednesday. Do they require me to provide a police / criminal background clearance?
  2. Happy for you guys to be able to finally schedule one!
  3. @widude see above
  4. @Riley-Janice Do you recall what time of day it was on the 13th that you were able to pick up the package at MOA? Did you receive a text saying it was available? I ask because we got our tracking number yesterday but LBC tracking website keeps saying, "We didn't find any records." when I try to track it.
  5. So for anyone who looks at this post down the road wondering what will happen after their status changes to "Issued"... Jaycel got the email yesterday (Monday afternoon Manila time) from the USTravelDocs website stating that her visa had been processed and gave her the tracking number. Interestingly the dashboard on the website's portal populated again and the document delivery section is showing the status. It says it will be delivered to the LBC branch in MOA on or before 21 AUG 2024. So we went to "Issued" on CEAC on Friday morning 16 AUG 2024 around 8-8:30am Manila time, the passport status on the website changed around 12:00pm Manila Time and she got the email with the tracking number Monday afternoon at 3:45ish pm.
  6. Jaycel had her interview on August 13th and then on Friday the 16th our status changed to "Issued"! Now we are just waiting for the embassy to courier the documents to her, do the CFO seminar and then she'll be on her way here! 😁
  7. Very nice! I am now, and we will be in Englewood when she gets here.
  8. Thank you Doc! It's been a long year being separated since I left the Philippines
  9. Hello everyone... Hoping someone can give me some info? My fiancee had her K-1 Visa interview at USEM Manila on Tuesday, Aug. 13th and was approved. As of about 7:30 or 8am Friday morning Manila Time, the status in CEAC changed to "Issued". Before the interview, on ustraveldocs we chose the option to pick up her documents at the LBC in the Mall of Asia. I have a couple of questions... 1. Since it was changed to "Issued" early Friday morning, is there a chance that her package will be ready to pick up at LBC on Saturday? 2. I'm assuming they will use the email and phone numbers entered into the ustraveldocs portal to contact her regarding the package being ready. Is that correct? 3. Is there a way to tell when the package is given to LBC? I looked at the "Document Delivery Information" section of the dashboard in the portal but after the interview, the whole dashboard is blank now.
  10. My fiancee just had her medical last week... She had the VaxCert from the Philippine Dept. of Health so she did not have to get the Covid Vaccine but she did have to get 5 others because she had no other vaccine records. When you go to the embassy for your interview, all you bring with you is the sealed brown envelope that SLEC gives you at releasing
  11. Here is a screenshot of an email received by the Consular Communications Group at the Manila Embassy in response to a VJ member's ask to have the NOA2 expiry date extended before the interview. Basically they said you can attend the interview with an expired NOA2 and if approved the Visa Officer will extend the expiration date at that time but they do not extend it prior to the interview. Taking along an updated letter of intent is also good advice.
  12. Here's a screenshot of the the response from the Consular Communications Group in Manila, to the VJ user who asked to extend the validity of his NOA2 before the interview.
  13. Agreed.... in all my research I have done on the K-1 process, I have never seen a story of a Visa Officer refusing to extend it at the interview
  14. The Visa Officer is the one who will be conducting the interview. I know that someone on VJ tried to contact the Embassy in Manila to ask that they extend the expiration and they replied that they would not as it is up to the Visa Officer to extend it at the time of the interview.
  15. Regarding the 4 moth validity of your USCIS approval notice, the Visa Officer can extend that in 4 month increments if you haven't completed your interview yet. This is done at the time of the interview.
  16. My fiancee and I have been nothing but text and video chats for the past 11 months. No doubt it is hard but it made us so much stronger. If she has to go there for that treatment, I would imagine she would meet others in the treatment program too that she could bond with. Maybe look at getting her an inexpensive laptop that she could use to take some online courses, really study the AOS process and become an expert on it so that when she does get there, you guys can breeze through that? Sorry if I'm rambling here, just trying to spitball some thoughts for you both. I hope it doesn't come to all that but if it does, try your best to make it into a fruitful time.
  17. The K-1 FTP is a letter attached in an email that the NVC sends you when they have shipped your case file to the embassy
  18. I'm so sorry to hear this. Jaycel and I will pray for you guys. What is in the results of the CT Scan that you feel they will interpret as requiring actual TB treatment? (If you are comfortable sharing) I can't believe if her cultures come back negative that they would still want to treat her. It's just mind boggling
  19. They did not... They only asked for her DS-160, PSA Birth Certificate, CENOMAR, NBI Clearance, MRV receipt and appointment confirmation
  20. @rsiegel yes.. K-1 visa and I forgot one question... He also asked what my job is
  21. @J.M. was spot on. Jaycel just had her interview a few hours ago and she was approved!! She said it was easy as long as you know your fiancé and know the important dates of your relationship. She was fortunate to get a kind, pleasant visa officer who put her at ease. The questions consisted of: "What is your name and DOB?" "Who is your petitioner?" "How old is he?" "What is his address?" "How and when did you two meet?" "When was the last time you talked to him?" Then he said, "Neither of you have ever been married before and neither of you have kids? Let's get you outta here! Congratulations I am approving your visa!" The final interview took about 3-4 minutes.
  22. For sure... That's why I gave her the past 3 months of my pay stubs
