    LOL ! Probably. .. Do you watch "No Reservations"? The new season isnt as good becuase he stopped smoking and drinking and kinda "cleaned up his act" but man the old seasons were AWESOME! He would cuss and get drunk ....just so down to earth not like all the other Pompus Chefs on TV.

    Rocco Di Spirito rubs me the WRONG way, can't stand the guy! He is the ipidimy (sp check)of an "#######"

    Ohhh I am in love with Anthony Bourdain! ! ! Love HIM! Just something about a skinny old guy that smokes and cusses that is just heavenly. LOL!

    Ok I just really really like him.

    I really like Padma, she is very exotic looking and well spoken I think, have any of you read about her life. Its actually kind of interesting....

    Congratulations to all that have had good news!

    I am quite discouraged at the moment, I went and applied for the SSN on Nov 4 and then went 2 weeks later to get a print out and the lady said that my case was still on hold with USCIS and she can't do anything. So I made an INFOPASS apointment for 2 reasons.

    1. See why my case was still on hold (Even though I have the EAD card in hand)

    2. Put in a service request for my I485 (I have a family reunion in London this Christmas and I haven't seen most of my family in 15 years so kinda a big deal)

    Results:

    1. USCIS claims NO responsibility for the case on hold I need to go talk to SSA (Even though I have already and they said I have to talk to USCIS) ROUND AND ROUND I GO WOOOOOO

    2.She reads me what I see everyday when I check my status online and says " Call the USCIS line for status instead of coming in" I told her kindly that I wanted a service request put in for it that it states on the letter that I should wait 60 days and if I don't hear anything to call or inquire. " Sorry, I can't do that. We don't do that here"

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

    And on top of that on the way there, I passed a cement truck and got a nice crack in my windshield.

    LOL1 Ok that lady with the ####### dessert should have gone home! She actually says "I know its too sweet but this is what I am serving" WHAAAAAA? This is supposed to be the best of the best! Oh my favorite then she starts crying her eyebals out saying she is not good enough! hahha.....She is going next!

    Well if the Online system is working you will have an update saying

    "Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

    On Month, Date, 2008, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

    I am speaking from Experience here! GET A JOINT SPONSOR! My husband owns 30 houses so I initially used them as Assets, we got 2 RFE's in regards to the I-864 and both of them had hand written notes saying " Please get a Joint Sponsor", Finally we got one and my case was resumed.

    Save yourself the irritations and get a Sponsor! I HIGHLY HIGHLY advise it!

    SSN_USCIS says case still pending

    Hi all!

    I did try to look all over the Forum for this topic as I may have recalled seeing it but couldnt find it.

    So I applied for the SSN and went in today (2 weeks Later) to see if I could get the print out. So come to find out the SSN lady said that my case is still pending according to USCIS. I showed her my Work Authorization card to no avail, she said she can't do anything and to call USCIS ( :rofl: )

    Anyway, anyone have any suggestions? Do I just wait should I make an infopass? Is this normal? Its like pulling teeth just get anything done with any government agency. Grrrrrr

    Sorry If I sound harsh, BUT was she aware about his condition and did she then research it to see if she could handle it? How could she not know that he is living off of SSI ? How does one not know these things during the year long process of the K-1? Before she got here?

    I am sorry but she is just as responsible for this mess.

    For some reason the more I read these stories the more I am wondering if these are "paid arrangements"..

    I agree with everyone here! You should make the Interview, its more important right? I mean this could mean you having to start from scratch and risking not being able to return to the US at all. I am sure your brother will understand.

    If it makes you feel any better, my family planned a family reunion in London for December in hopes that I would be able to make it, I still do not even have an interview date! I have not seen my family in 15 years, I have an AP but am not risking it at all and yes its very very sad and difficult for me to deal especially becuase I filed 8 months ago.

    So, this is the only Visa forum that I have been on and I guess I was bored and looking around on Google and found all this $hit for ALIPAC. What exaclty is it?

    Is it really what is seems to point to? Illegal immigrants? Just curious if anyone knows about this? I was almost in shock that there is really something organized specifically for Illegals? :blink:

    Will a new government have an effect on the K-1 process?

I am more than happy to keep paying everyone to live off of my hard earned money and then drive around in Beamers whilst I am driving an old beat up old station wagon from the 70's 'cause its all I can afford because I have to pay for all the moochers of the system"

    Oops sorry got carried away there....

    I think that they will do away with the immigration system. Since all the illlegals will be given citizenship, just elimninate the visa process and open up the borders. You want a fiance, buy them a plane ticket. No fuss, no hassle.
