    Thank you! During this long AP process, do we will have to inform USCIS, NVC OR Montreal consulate that we just got Canadian citizenship? or it doesnt matter at all for them?

    I have one question: If case is in AP after interview, at the time of Interview applicant was Permanent Resident of Canada, and during this long AP processing time, if applicant apply for Canadian citizenship if qualified and then get Canadian citizenship before passport request or re-medical for IR1, will this cause an any issue in current ongoing IR1 process if one become Canadian? I mean in this scenario, do we will have to inform USCIS, NVC OR Montreal consulate that we just got Canadian citizenship. I just checked I-130 form and DS-260 forms, it was not asked any where which citizenship you hold. Can we do this like if we get Canadian citizenship then just hold Canadian Citizenship certificate but dont apply for Canadian passport and then migrate to US once IR1 visa approved. Sorry if its out of way question, but i thought you guys have great knowledge so someone of them will reply here. thank you

    yes its like AP with CV. When I was requested CV it was clearly mention in the email from CO that my case is now in AP and I need to send my updated CV. But the question is how long it will take when its only a CV, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. I feel like sending passport again when requested and remedical is also a headache if no clear instruction is given.

    yeah I didnt request for the passport, we just made an inquiry about the case status and requested if they can finalize process.

    Yeah, but i am just wondering why they are sending back the passport, do they usually send passport without a visa on it ?

    I hope so, we sent inquiry 12 days ago, First earlier this morning we got reply from consulate that case is currently pending review by a consular officer and then received an email of courier tracking number. I dont know why I feel like our inquiry made trigger and they just sending back passport without a visa.

    Hello everyone, My case (IR1) was in AP for last 2.8 months, they only requested CV after my interview which was sent the next day but they kept my passport. Today just few minutes ago I received an email from U.S. DoS Visa system and Purolator with the tracking number, seem like they are sending back my passport? my visa status still showing Refused but last updated date change to "today" with the same status "Refused" My question is that are they sending back the passport with visa or without visa, as status didnt changed to Ready or issued. I am really nervous.
