  1. Thats some good news, Congrats!

We did contact our senator's office at the end of June and they were happy to do an inquiry for us since we were past the 4 month processing time. We got a status update saying our I-485 was approved on the 21st. Yay! Not sure if the senator had anything to do with it since it seems that the CSC might now be working on some of us from months back, but if you are still waiting and past that point, it's worth looking into. Our senator had a dedicated phone line just for issues like these. Good luck to those of you who are still waiting!

  2. Congrats! My status was just updated this morning to "card production ordered" so exciting!!

On July 21, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

  3. My case was transfered back in Feb to the CSC. Origionally when I would logg in to check on my status it would say that my case is being processed at the California Service Center. Not too long after that It changed to your case is being processed at a local USCIS office. I was confused, especially since it said I had been transfered. A couple of weeks after that I received a NOA in the mail stating that my case was transfered to the CSC... but to this day whenever I log on it still says your case is being processed at a local USCIS office. Recently, I have also been calling the CSC with the information on my NOA to see why my case is taking so long, and I was given information right away. That wouldnt have happened if my case was not there. Unless you specifically got mailed a NOA stating that your case was transferred again, then you have nothing to worry about. It's being processed at the CSC. My comment is based on my own experiences though. There is a slight chance that I could be wrong... I agree with everyone else though, always be prepaired for an interview. Ya never know what is going to happen. The Best of Luck to you :)

so we were overjoyed to hear that our case was transferred to the csc office a few weeks ago. but just now we got a touch saying it was again transferred and is now "being processed at a uscis office".

is this terrible news? how do we know what uscis office it's been transferred to? i'm assuming this almost certainly means an interview now, right? :(

  4. Don't worry about it too much yet, there have been people that were transfered way after some of us that already have their GC's. I think it all depends on when you file, or who is reviewing your case...

Oh my. I just got an email this morning that our case was transferred to CSC today. I thought it was a good thing but now I dont know considering all you guys having to wait for so long.

Maybe they are trying to move things along to keep up with their 4 month processing time line

It seems that a bunch of us who were transferred to CSC were touch on 7/10.

  5. That sux! Hopefully things will begin to look up for all of us sometime real soon :)

Back from the Infopass appointment...What a wasted appointment. Spent 2 hours driving there, got told my case has been transferred from the CSC to West Palm on the 7th... The lady was really confused why they sent my K1 AOS case there in the first place, she said normally they go straight to West Palm?? So not much acheived. Hopefully I will hear something in 30 days...

    So...Another waiting game begins.

  6. Im going to complain in August if my status has not changed. I called the CSC and I was told it could take 180 days from the time we got our transfer notice for update/approval of our AOS application. Once August is here it will be 180 days. Its frustraiting having to wait this long, but I have done all that I can do right now. Waiting just under a month is nothing in compairson to the time we have waited so far.

I think I may draft up a complaint or contact the Ombudsman about this if it goes past September... The hubby and I always said we wanted to adopt from abroad later in life, but after dealing with the USCIS and the problems they have thrown at us its really making me think twice. Anyone else going to complain if it goes past a certain date?

  7. My case was transfered on Feb 24, and my husband and I are still waiting as well. I find it to be reassuring that there are others going through the same thing, to know that Im not alone, and to go to for advice to stay strong and on what to do. Thanks to all for your help!

I believe that a touch would be if your date under "last updated" or "updates" has changed since your case has been transfered. For example my case was transfered on Feb 24 and my case was updated on March 4th. If that makes sense?

Thanks Moroccogirl! Here is the complete message:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing

On February 17, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I think it's an AOS "touch" -- can you confirm?

may I ask how recent you got your approval philabride ? :)

My application was submitted last October, and it was transferred to CSC in December. And I just received an approval letter so,

    dont worry!

  8. Congrats, and all the best to you  !

Generally, being transfered to the CSC means faster processing times and no interview :)

That's what I have been hearing from people here on VJ...but there are some cases where people have had an interview with the CSC, or their cases were being transferred back to the original service centers for an interview. Personally (in my opinion) I think it all depends when one applies and how well one(s) AOS application is put together. For example there are people who have applied in March, been transfered to CSC, and have or are getting their GC's this month...where as there have been others (like me) who are still waiting anywhere from our transfers in Jan - now for their GC's or updates... and NOTHING! My case got transfered to the CSC in Feb. It was touched in March, and no activity has been reported since then. I check my status daily online. Im still waiting for updates, and to see if I will be given an interview or not. I have even called the CSC and got a 180 day time frame from the time I received my transfer notice before I can get another update. Now on the other hand my biometrics, EAD, AP and SSN where all approved without any problems by march. It could be a blessing or a "curse" (so to speak at the same time) for my case. It seems like I have the worst luck these days! Anyways...

I just wanted to share my experience on this topic so far  Good Luck!

    HI Everyone!

I received a letter from USCIS stating my husband AOS has been transfer to the California Service Center? Does this mean no interview for his adjustment of status? If someone can give some info that would be great!!!

Good luck everyone who going through this process!!!
