  1. returns are cheaper. theres no point in getting one way even if you dont use the other ticket your saving.. also sidestep.com is another good 1.. I found a flight from heathrow to jfk or newark for $600 return.

  2. Can anybody teach me how to print Skype and YM call logs? we don't spend too much time talking on mobile phone or regular phone becoz it is expensive but we do spend ample time talking on skype and yahoo... i have printed all the chat logs but I can't seem to print the call logs :huh2: .. I hope someone here knows how.

Thank you very much in advance.

Sure... I did the exact same thing... Just open skype and the call log bit and scroll it so the dates u want showing are up. then hit the print screen button (top right side of your keyboard) then go into paint and hit paste (ctrl v) and then you can edit from there and cut just the skype box out and print it right from paint. I don't believe theres a way to do it right from skype or maybe I just didn't figure it out.

we use skype so much! we ended up sending 5 pages of skype logs just to prove we were together at the times we said because there were no calls at those times we were together. and its quite obvious just by looking at the logs.

hope this helps.. best of luck to you

And to Sally .. I hope you get a quick interview date! I'm anxious for ya!!

  3. it might be a brit thing. because Damian wanted to wait awhile before coming too. I said a week after his interview and he said 1.5 to 2 months so I talked him down to 3 weeks. hes already gotten rid of most things and is living with his parents. after the interview will be just him going to visit his whole family one last time before he has to leave and save up some funds to cover him for a bit.

  4. Congratulations! :dancing: Hope we will be able to get our NOA2 soon too. pls include us in ur prayers.

Absolutely!! Although I never prayed for a fast approval, but the STRENGTH to withstand the waiting.

I absolutely agree... I prayed I'd make it through the waiting and I wasn't really hoping for a fast approval because I didn't wanna get my hopes up. and When I got the NOA2 email I thought it was a joke because i came in only a little over a month. I was in shock.

As for getting packet 3 after my NOA2.... it took about a month from London. but once we got packet 3 everything has gone so fast. we got packet 4 in 6 days of sending packet 3 and our interview is a little over 3 weeks from sending packet 3. I kept up with the process calling the NVC when it was suppose to be there then calling the DOS 4 days after sending packet 3 just to make sure they received packet 3 and to my surprise we had already had an interview scheduled! they said its for May 2nd.. I made them repeat it 3 times because I thought i was hearing it wrong. I started to cry I was sooo happy! so now we're coming close to interview time and we're both a ball of nerves.

    best of luck to everyone!!!

  5. Hey everyone.....I need help. Ahmed went to the travel agencies in Damanhour and they told him earliest flight was Wednesday but then he had to go get more money and when he back was already taken. But I can see flights here online for Tuesday and Wednesday. He thinks he has to have paper ticket in hand when he goes to get his military travel permission letter. I told him he will have a paper e ticket confirmation. He is worried that is not enough. Can anyone tell me if that is good or not. Need answers today if at all possible.....will buy ticket tonight so he can go to the military tomorrow for his travel permission and fly on Tuesday or Wednesday.

    Here is his circumstances:

    He is 24

He is in last year of college

He has letter from College already

Military told him he had to go to the Cairo Military Office since he was in last year of college.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Cheryl

when you buy tickets online most airlines don't use paper tickets any more so I'd think it'd be enough but thats just my opinion. best of luck to you!

  6. Hi guys,

I received our packet 3 on Friday (WOO!!) and have begun the process of gathering all the information needed for my interview. I just have a couple of questions, first of all, do I need my American fiancee to send me over her birth certificate or is it only mine that I need to take with me for the interview?

Secondly, we are going to get a co-sponsor (My Uncle who has lived in Memphis for nearly 20 years) as my fiancee is a student going into med school and she has no money. I read on the I-134 FAQ's that both my fiancee and my Uncle will have to fill out an I-134. In this case, should my fiancee state that she has no annual income, savings, real estate etc. and should I write a cover letter explaining why my Uncle is having to sponsor me?

Thirdly, has anyone submitted their checklists when they have not yet received all the information they need? On the letter they sent me it said that once you have posted the checklist back, you will receive a letter approximately one month before your interview confirming the date. I am not going to send the checklist back anytime soon as I have only just sent off for a police check and have not received my affidavit yet, I'm just curious if anybody sent their checklist back while still waiting for police checks etc.

Thanks for your help with this, I've booked my medical for Tuesday....170 Quid!!! :o I remember when I applied for J-1 visa's in the past my local nurse carried out the medical and it looks like I had a similar procedure as the one scheduled for Tuesday. Is the3re any real reason why you have to use the embassy approved Medical Practice or is it just to wean a few more pounds out of us?

congrats on getting packet 3. I sent my fiance a copy of my US birth certificate just in case. I am unsure if its actually need it or not.

We also have a co-sponsor because i haven't worked for 3 years. i just put down i have no assets and i collected everything from my co-sponsor. i wasn't worried about a letter. our co-sponsor makes more then enough and i got all the required paperwork.. 3 years tax returns, 3 months bank statements, 2 months pay check stubs, a letter from employer, a copy of mine birth certificate, a copy of my co-sponsors birth certificate. and of course the notarized I-134 s from each of us.

we sent back the checklist right away. then we collected all the documents that we needed. the reason we did this was because we knew we could get everything quickly and there was no worry in getting an interview before we were ready. our packet 4 actually came within a week of sending packet 3 but our interview isn't until May 2nd. so its about 3 weeks after we sent packet 3 which gave us plenty of time to collect all the documents, schedule and get the medical done. the new police certificate says it takes 10 days I believe and it came back in 4. and I had already had all the tax returns so it was just a matter of collecting pay stubs and printing out bank statements and filling out the I-134 and getting it notarized which was fairly painless. Also I put together a lot of relationship proof.

I don't have an answer bout the medical. Its a lot of money but u do what have to do to be with the one you love.
