  1. RFE was for I-864. They didn't pay any attention to my verification of income letter for my pension. Said they needed more info, so they got 12 months of Pension Pay Stubs, an updated verification letter indicating the monthly amount, lifetime benefit. Also sent them 12 months of bank statements for all my checking and savings accounts as well as my Roth IRAs. My retirement income is only partially taxed so the Total income box on the Tax transcripts does not tell the whole story. I sent them the last 3 years 1099R's so they could see the income and sent a Letter of Explanation as far as my circumstances. I make over 100k a year from my Pension and it's not an annuity like they probably thought and not only a once a year withdrawal. That's why I sent them everything but the kitchen sink. All in all I sent over 400 pages. I currently just picked up a job, so I sent them that verification of emoyment letter as well as listing my assets. Now processing it, so we will see what occurs.
  2. Not true. You might want to look at this: https://constitution.findlaw.com/amendment14/annotation15.html Someone who is impeached could be disqualified from holding public office in the future if they are convicted, and Congress applies such a punishment. But this is separate from disqualification under the 14th Amendment.
  3. You might want to look at this with an open mind and from middle ground. https://www.newsweek.com/supreme-court-ironclad-argument-trump-colorado-case-sidney-blumenthal-1855528 175 The Supreme Court will likely face difficult legal maneuvering if its justices wish to return Donald Trump to the ballot in Colorado, a legal analyst argued, given the "ironclad" originalist argument at the heart of the ruling.
  4. Just took a look at my wife's cases in the App, amazingly it must have updated yesterday and they now show they received the RFE. It also indicates the AOS case has been restarted as far as processing and current step 3 shows 2 months remaining. Now the EAD processing has gone to the status saying "taking longer than expected to process". From reviewing those of you who have had the same thing pop up for the EAD, it never was processed and the GC was eventually issued several weeks later, or am I wrong? Just trying to be positive in my thoughts. Happy Holidays to you all.
  5. Thank you, I think I figured it out. They approved the EAD but because they are still working on the AOS they use the term Stand Alone approval fir the EAD so as to not make a hust Approved statement which could make it appear all wass approved.
  6. Just a question? Did you send all the paperwork together and at the same time to USCIS. This approval says Stand Alone. My wife's cases show concurrent filing.
  7. The Colorado Ruling Changed My Mind (msn.com) (excerpt) And no stronger is Justice Carlos Samour’s suggestion that Trump was somehow deprived of due process by the proceedings in the district court. This was a full-blown, five-day trial, with sworn witnesses and lots of documentary exhibits, all admitted under the traditional rules of evidence before a judicial officer, who then made extensive written findings of fact under a stringent standard of proof. Every day in this country, people go to prison—for years—with a lot less process than Trump got here. As for the expeditiousness of the proceedings, that’s in the very nature of election disputes: Recall, once again, Florida in 2000. And Samour’s suggestion that Trump was denied a fair trial because he didn’t have a jury is almost embarrassing: Any first-year law student who has taken civil procedure could tell you that election cases are not even close to the sort of litigation to which a Seventh Amendment jury-trial right would attach.
  8. I could say I am almost always right, yet my wife will tell you different. Every constitutional scholar has there own opinion and view. What it comes down to as I said is the letter of the law and the reasoning for it at the time. Twisting it to fit anything else is incorrect.
  9. How often has Dershowitz been correct in his views. All laws are up for personal views but it will take the US Supreme Court to look at the way the Amendments were put in place and look at the reasoning behind them, not a personal view. Personal views and opinions are why this country is in the issue it is currently in. Letter of the law is what it comes down to and not an opinion.
  10. Better do some research. The Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments both contain a Due Process Clause, although the Fourteenth Amendment applies explicitly to the states. https://www.archives.gov/milestone-documents/14th-amendment#:~:text=The right to due process, was submitted to the states.
  11. For those that received an RFE and returned what was asked, how long after your tracking showed it was delivered did you see a change on the system showing it was received. My wife's RFE was received over a week ago, I have the green postcard receipt now and USPS shows it was delivered, but yet there is no status change in the case......so frustrated and concerned at this point the case has been put on the back burner. EAD status now back to 2 weeks from 1 week for the 3rd time.....ugh. Guess with the holidays we may not see anything until next year. Congratulations to all who have been successful.
  12. Of those already approved in our group, how many were being processed through the Lee's Summit,MO USCIS Office. That's where both the AOS and EAD as well as AP for my wife are being processed through, and yet we live in Southern California.....down to 1 week again on EAD, and still not showing the RFE for the I-864 has been received yet my USPS green tracking post card was returned....
