Ok I have a 10 year greencard in married name and my passport is still in maiden name. obviously both have my picture in it. we have to leave to leave in about an hour to get our flights back to the UK and i can't find our marriage certificates. I thought I knew where they went but we have moved and they must have been put somewhere in the masses of stuff we have been unable to unpack yet.I usually have the marriage certificate just in case they pick holes when we come back about the card and passport being different. what do I do?we have the copy of the form we filled out for the certificate. just not the certificate. should i worry?

Hi Hanna, when did you actually receive your GC? I am assuming you had it on hand just this month? Please let me know so I can update your timeline appropriately.

November 12th was when it fianly arrived in my mailbox. It was resent on the 9th of November. Originally failed delivery was the 28th October. I was approved on the 21st October. sorry I messed the dates up :s baby brain. Hard to Function intelligently on minimal sleep.

Got my green card finally. Arrived yesterday at the right address. I'll post dAtes later when I get the chance.

On the 9th my hubby got an email stating they have resent my greencard. I hope it comes here this time

So update of post office loosing my greencard.

I phoned pre 8 am as they told me and the woman who answered refused to listen to what I was saying and told me to call back after 8:30 when they open. Even though I said their collegue told me to call then.

Then my mil checked the the tracking number for the package and we found out where it went. > even though the USCIS lady said it stated I had 15 days from the 28th october to either rearrange redelivery or pick up efore they send it back to sender it arrived at the USCIS center today. So they didn't wait to send it back and the whole time it was meant to be at the post office it was in fact onnits way back to USCIS. I now have a service request for then to redelivery it to my new address. So pissed with the post office right now.

So it turns out my change of address failed somehow. I got the notice of approval dated the 20th October this week and it was forwarded by the post office last sat with old address on it so I phoned up to ask why. Turns out it's a good job I calle eofre the 30 days because they tried to deliver my greencard on the 29th October to old address and I had till the 13th nov to get it redelivered or it gets sent back. So lady gave me the tracking number and hubby tried to puk it up from post office on Thursday and post office can't find it nor yesterday. As far as USPS is concerned it should be at that post office. And the post office system says it's in transit. They have freeking lost it I'm so pissed. I now have to phone before 8 am (yeah with a month old on my arms keepin me up all night) to see if the letter carrier is there to ask if he remembers what he dis with it. the others think he may have forwarded it an not scanned it when he did. An our old manage didn't call us to tell us we had a notice left even though she said she would inform us if any mail slipped by. so upset about this I don't have time for this mess and the lady on the phone this time said she changed my address as well and I should get a notice to that effect in 15 days.

A whole bunch of peoples dates. I honestly only noticed it because my dates were all wrong. When I went through and corrected, using the list on here, I found LOTS of dates incorrect.

I know early on my dates were wrong such as bio so I corrected that. It had me down as the 14th I think but I did it on the 4th. My send date might be wrong too but I can't remember :/

CONGRATS!!!! Was the date on the letter Oct 28 or was that the date you got it?

I'm gettin a little frustrated about 4 weeks ago we moved house and my roc was still pending. Took 2 and half weeks to what we think was successfully change our address with USCIS. First attempts were doing it online but it wouldn't let us submit it. Finally we phoned up and the customer service rep said they did it for us, including for the pending case file. Last weekend we got the approval email for my roc. I think it was on the 21st which happened to ve the same time as a bother filer who I know already has their card in hand as do others who reported approvals a day or two before hand. Yet a week later even though I live in so cal as well mine still hasn't arrived.

I've had bad exPeriences before with USCIS not updating my information in their system correctly. I know it says 30 days but it normally doesn't take that long. We have the post office forwarding mail but I'm worried that it will get lost or sent back if it's not the correct address?

Does anyone have any experience with USCIS mail being forwarded via USPS ? should we call again this soon about the address or wait the 30 days?

been a full week almost since approval ad even though Jason and Sarah have theirs and they were approved on the same date. Mine still hasn't arrived. AND I live in so cal as well. I'm worried that it went to the old address even though we changed the address with them and the post office so they have been forwarding stuff. Do you think there could be a problem? Do you think we should phone and ask? Has anyone ever heard of it being returned by the post office instead of forwarding it?

ARGH!!!! Someone messed up a whole bunch of stuff on the spreadsheet, so now I've made it uneditable unless you get permission from me to be able to edit it. I had to revert it back to a saved one on October 20th so if there were any updates after that they aren't on it. Let me know.

Sarah received the letter of approval, as well as her green card on same day! This might be due to the fact I hadn't checked our post for 4 or 5 days hehe, but she has been approved as 10/21/2011!

I'm goin to be nervous until it gets here I'm not convinced the address change worked and even though we have the post office forwarding our mail I'm worried it will go awry.

If the postal service is forwarding mail to a new address it wouldn't get sent back would it?

Firstly congrats on all your babies abd Alex and Rachel congrats on your little bean, i had bad nausea throughout and zofran was a life saver. Secondly Sorry to but in to your conversation girls but I was wondering if any of you have got your babies a UK passport and citizenship? And what you have to do? Our baby is 2 and half weeks old now and I'd like her to have duel citizenship but not sure what I have to do? Is it report of birth abroad? Do I do that at any embassy? Or is it like the passport renewal and has to be done through washington? And do I have to wait for the birth certificate here to come through or do I need another document?

hannah! i missed the part where YOU HAD THE BABY! many congratulations! so now you got the house, you had the baby.... just he green card left! two out of three!

edit: whidbey, <sigh> december seemed so much nicer for an approval. january is bleak month, at least it is here in vermont. thanks for keeping the info updated.

CSC are finally moving on with May so looks as if the rest of June and July approvals can't be too far behind now.

I can't understand why the change of address won't work on the USCIS site - so silly! It was working earlier this year.

Crossed. Yeah the online form is messed up. It has non required fields that are notbapplicable to all applicants. But even though it says non required. If you try to submit it with them blank it won't send the online form

Only one problem I'm having is changing my address with USCIS!! Managed the first online part but couldn't do the second online part for the case pending. The form

Wouldn't let me submit it because of the " unrequired" not appropriate to me fields. Won't let me submit with those fields empty, won't accept none or n/a and I can't fill in the bit they want how they want because I don't have a lawyer preparing my case.

I put in my green card expiry date there, not sure what to write if you don't have the green card, sorry.

Just found my copy I printed, I put N/A for work/school details and put my new address zip code into zip for work/school and put 3 years for new address.

We did that as well, But for the field

I'm trying to fill out the online change of address form and the form contains fields not marked with an "Astrix" and there fore not required to fill out the form but when we press the "signature button,' an auto response comes up to fill in the "non-Astrix" fields which do not apply to me..... need advice / help asap as we need to complete it tonight... thx in advance

If someone could just confirm that I have understood what is required of me to change address correctly I would be grateful.

The facts are as follows.... Moving tomorrow. have my (my being me, Hannah the green card holder) ROC pending and won't have access to this address after the 12th of October and looking at current trends that might be when I get my approval or response of some kind.

I think I understand that I have to

A) log into our online account with uscis and fill out the online ar-11 form because I have a pending application and

B) fill our the paper version of AR-11 and send via snail mail because the online version doesn't update their main records?

do i have to do separate online and snail mail forms for my husband too? (he is the USC and my sponsor/petitioner in the beginning or throughout however its viewed)or would my two cover his change of address as well?

also when I log into our uscis account to check on status of applications it gives me the option of doing the online ar-11, I think linking it to that account however account is under hubbys name (usc) so would i still be able to change address for me if I use that link or would it assume its for only Vito?
