wonder what takes so long to schedule it. waiting too, I hoped to have interview in October-November to bring my mother in before New Years, now felling like it isn't going to happen

I have same questions as FS1907, how long it takes to get an interview date from NVC? We jut got DQ'ed on September 6th for IR-5. What should the expectation be to get email with Interview date?

How long does it take to get approval after the interview? I have similar case as MarinaG and my mother will be travelling from Russia to Almaty to have interview and after reading your response, maybe medical as well. Thinking if I should find a place for her to stay while she waits approval. Where do you pay $220 fee? at the consulate when you pick up Visa?

Thank you for a very detailed breakdown of the process. I am waiting for CEAC to review documents I submitted for my mother's IR-5 case. If you know and don't mind answering few questions, did you have to do medical in Almaty? Would they accept medical from Russia? I emailed CEAC but haven't received a response on this yet. Since you stated that they cannot mail passport to Russia, did you have to come back to pick it up?. How long did it take from interview to get passport with visa?

How did you contact Almaty post? What number or email? My mothers case was assigned to Warsaw and I’m trying to transfer to Almaty thank you

I put Armenia in I-130 and they still put Warsaw, but I never contacted NVC to adjust this. I guess I’ll send inquiry to them first. Thank you for your help

Contact Armenia embassy? will they be able to pull up information or request transfer? smh I thought it is done through NVC, if not I'll call embassy

Hi, petition for my mother(Russian citizen) IR-5 was finally approved by USCIS and was transferred to NVC. NVC automatically assigned interview location to Moscow then changed to Warsaw. In I-130 I requested to have visa processed in Armenia but I guess it was ignored. My mother does not have Shengen visa to go to Poland. I am not sure if it’s easier for me to try and transfer interview location to a country where she will not need a visa or should I start working on Shengen visa? How hard will it be to get Shengen visa considering relationship between Poland and Russia? also, is there website where I can check a wait time for immigrant visas at different cities and countries? thank you!
