I sent an inquiry using the public inquiry form (not via email) on the 17th and got an answer on the 19th. Only 2 days later they answered. I guess I got lucky because I've heard others waiting weeks sometimes.

I never tried NVCInquiry and NVCResearch, I guess those would've been next on the list but didn't need them! I feel the country your beneficiary is in has to do with how fast they process your case even though NVC is supposed to just process and forward them for K1 visas! Is the embassy in Beirut backlogged?

Submission through the Inquiry form they will give correct case no I guess.

Thank you for the info. Do you know if we should start submitting the DS160 now or we can wait until our case arrives at the embassy? and I assume the beneficiary should file the form, not the petitioner?

you can prepare DS160 when you fill online you would get a reference number; with  this ref no your beneficiary would have to print sign and submit.

@MD2023 you don’t need the invoice number in order to check you case status. You’ll usually receive the invoice number in the NVC welcome letter

they usually send that via email when they ship out your case to the embassy.
you can check your case status via the

Immigrant check status it’ll only ask for your case number.

in the meantime you can fill out your DS -160 and have that ready for when they ship out your information to the embassy

    Thank you.

I submitted an inquiry to NVC last week and just got an email with a case number. I have to admit I'm surprised they answered, I'm even more surprised I actually received a case number. I was expecting them to say they haven't even received my case yet. If you read my old post I'm quoting you'll understand why.

    NOA1: 6/23/2022

NOA2: 8/28/2022, not sure about this read old post!

    Case number received 9/19/2022

I calculated the date the case number was actually created using a method I found on another post, according to that post it mine was created on 9/08/2024.

I'm going to say I just broke some records perhaps!

Hello congrats. Please let me know how did you find the date of receipt? wondering. thanks

Good news today! Response from NVCResearch.

    NOA2 - 8/1

    NVC Received - 8/28

How did you do that. I sent an email and I received response to submit in inquiry form. When I submitted in the inquiry form with my USCIS case number, they just sent "your correct case number etc.. xxx####. Is it typical response. When I searched against the corrected case no, this is what the response I get:

I am wondering you mentioned NVC received date; How did you get that date. Thanks

Thank you what this means? Did they receive my file to NVC? it doesn't say about the date of receiving etc? wondering. I sent my USCIS case number in the inquiry site and they just provided a different case number as the correct case number: xxx..etc. Using this correct case number I checked the above site the response was as in the image. Thank you

Not sure what invoice ID they refer to? do we have one? Thanks

Yes. Fill the Ask NVC fields as applicable: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html
You don't submit the I-134, it's taken with the beneficiary to the interview.

thank you, this means we can fill this I134 and print sign and send to fiancee overseas in advance? or we need to wait for the case to transfer to embassy wondering? thanks

  8. I believe what we should be looking at is the % of cases left not decided prior to your NOA1. My theory is (though I have only sample of data), currently close to 95% done for April 27.29 CASES. If you are April 30 or later you don't need to be panic even you see approval for June etc. You can see in the next week more approvals for May 2nd/3rd etc. So if your NOA1 is May 9/13 17 etc.. I belive these will get picked up in late June or early July. I know the wait is too long. Let's hope to get this done all pretty soon.
