Hi guys - I sent in an inquiry that said "USCIS approved my i129f on March 31, 2023. I would like to know if you have received my application from USCIS and if there is any information about when I will receive a case number."

This is the reply I got:

    "To Whom it Concerns:

You will be notified once this case is forwarded to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General."

Does this mean they received it??

did you receive this email prior? Someone else received an email like yours right after this prior email

Have you called them? At this point, they should be giving you concrete information since you've even passed their own bullshit timeframe.

Yea I called them. the blame it on NVC, nothing they could do. When I asked for a tier 2 agent, they said since it was approved nothing that person could do either. I told them the whole problem is the petition is still at USCIS, more waiting. So i sent a request through askemma. I'll call them again tho

  3. I called USCIS asked for a tier 2 agent, they told me that wasnt needed since my petition was approved. They told me since I made an inquiry already to USCIS 5/23, I had to wait another 30 days before I make another inquiry.

Went ahead and chatted with Ask emma:

They submitted a service request to California about my petition. I guess I just need to wait. It is now 103 days since NOA2 and no case number.

Remember to ask them to speak to a Tier 2 representative when you call USCIS using the infopass method, on top of insisting on concrete information.

Also, make sure to put in a request for case assistance to the CIS Ombudsman. (In fact, I'd urge everyone who's been waiting for 60+ days to contact the Ombudsman).

Both of those avenues unfortunately come with their own processing time of 30 days each, but it's better than nothing.

Ngl, I'm starting to get real pissed off.

    Thank you, i'll do so

Also Id like to add this phone number for USCIS: 212-620-3418

I actually just tried it and it works. It needs to be on the Live Chat feature, with an actual Customer Service Rep. I asked them if our case has been sent to NVC yet. Apparently our case was only transferred to NVC on April 17th (😒 we got our NOA2 on 28th Feb) so it's been sitting at USCIS this whole time! The CSR agent couldn't tell me why, it was part of the "normal process". NVC hasn't received it yet as of the last inquiry we sent last week on Thursday 20th, they got back to us on Fri 21st saying they didn't have it.

When I asked the agent when we can expect NVC to receive it, they said within 90 days! 😅😭 So I guess someone's trekking across the country with our file.

    The wait continues 😬

Same here. I talked to the live agent at AskEmma. Seems like an inquiry can be made every 90 days. Also seems like USCIS is holding on to approved cases for as long as 90 days now before sending to NVC for some reason.

We've tried that and the " live chat operative " cut us off twice. No idea how to get past this. We are now outside the USCIS timeline and still not getting any information from them as to where our petition is. We were approved February 1, 2023.

Call USCIS at 800-375-5283 and say "info pass", try to get a tier 2 representative

  7. Hi, I received my approval letter NOA2 2/23/23 and still waiting for the USCIS to send this to the NVC. There is an expiration date on the approval letter 6/21/23. Should I be concerned about this expiring before my case number is generating and interviewing at the embassy? Is there auto extensions during these times of delay?
