  1. I completely agree, having you and Nev as Canadian friends here has meant the world to me and helped me so much. Sometimes our get-togethers would literally be the only thing that kept me going that week or month. I can't wait to get together when I'm in Toronto, we can meet up at Timmy's

    Thanks guys!

Let me tell you, I met two ladies off this board in real life and if it wasn't for them, it would have been so much more difficult. It was such a pleasure to have a few Canadians to tell you how you are feeling is okay and listen to your aches and pains! Thanks Nev and Jill!!!

Kimbear - he still doesn't get the "double/double" thing but I will have to teach him some more! haha

Colleens - we will have to keep in contact to see how the process is going. I'm not thrilled about doing this all over again but what can you do?

  2. Hi All :)

I am working on my N400 application this weekend, as well as gathering evidence. On the document checklist, it notes that you need

"documents referring to you and your spouse:

    A. Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children"

Can I just send in our tax returns from the past 3 years, and that's enough? Or do you advise that I send in all of the above (well except birth certificate, since no kids!)

    Thanks!!

  3. out of curiosity, did you try and contact USCIS and tell them that you are beyond 6 months wait time?

what was their excuse, and how did they brush you off :) in case you contact them?

Not yet, I was thinking of giving it a few more weeks and then calling... I know how busy and backed up VSC is so I was trying to be a bit more patient before calling... but I will soon if I don't hear anything!!

  4. Same thing happened to me; the EAC on the NOA was different than the # on the Bio appointment notice. The NOA # didn't work, but the one on the Bio appointment did...Guess that's not too helpful tho :) You could always call USCIS...

Thanks, that helped, I was using the EAC # from my NOA not my bio. So I was able to check on my status with my bio EAC #, and now the thing confusing me is it says instead of a I-751 that my application is:

On January 7, 2011, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

  5. I am trying to check my case status online, and it says:

    Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

    * Customer Portfolio Insert Failed

    * Attempting to add a case that does not exist. Check the application receipt number.

I am entering the receipt number from my I-797C, Notice of Action. The "EAC" number, isn't that correct? Why can't they find me

  6. Another January filer.. or will be lol.. planning to file either tomorrow or the day after :)

@JillA 5 lbs??? What are you sending lol? I doubt I'll even get to 1lbs... kinda reluctant to send them too much lol

I took it to the post office today, it's 4LBS actually! I copied all of our mortgage paperwork, 2 years of income tax, copies of utility bills, lots of envelopes/letters/cards addressed to both of us.... The more the better I think, rather than not enough and getting an RFE!

  7. So I have finished putting my ROC package all together, just need to do my cover page.... It's so BIG though! I mean after I copied all our mortgage papers, joint bills, envelopes to show we live at the same address, etc. I don't think it will fit in an envelope to mail... Can I put it in a small box or is that crazy? Do I need to cut down the size somehow? I don't want to send TOO much but I feel like everything I am sending is what I need to send & don't really want to take anything out...
