    Sorry all I have another question! When I fill out my details on my booking it’s asking if i have a US visa and if so, to put in the number. This won’t be an issue if I’ve booked a return would it? As it’s a K1 visa and I’ll be cancelled the return flight. Or does it not matter at all?

    Thanks everyone! Booked my flights (non-refundable, return, a flexible ticket would have cost me around 3.3k compared to the £700 non-refundable so I went with non-refundable just in case I needed that extra money before I went). Happy to lose out on a bit of money, very excited to go!

    Thank you so much for the heads up. What I'll do is make a note in my phone to cancel the return leg a couple of days after I land, and to make sure I keep the cancellation confirmation along with my other visa documents to ensure I have valid proof of this too should this occur during my AOS.

    Hi All! Planning to move to the US from the UK on my visa in the next couple of months but a one way is around £500 MORE than a standard return. Has anyone had any experience of booking a return, then cancelling the return leg once they're in the US? (I don't expect a refund!) Thank you in advance!

    Hello all! I have a question regarding my birth certificate. My birth certificate has only ever listed my mother's name from birth as my father did not have anything to do with me (or now) as a child, my mother brought me up as a single mother. Will this be an issue at all? I know who he is, but have no contact and he has not been a father to me. Will this cause an issue? I was wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation?

    Hi all, Thanks for your replies! Just an update, had my medical yesterday and the nurse asked me if I'd had chicken pox, I said yes but I'd never been to the doctors about it and she said she'd take my word for it, as most people in the UK had chicken pox as a kid and never went to the docs! So all good

    Thank you so much for this! Was the blood test at an additional cost or included in the price? I was worried I had to scramble to get a blood test from my doctors prior to my app!

    Hello! I am based in the UK and on the email for the Medical appointment it says that if you have proof of chicken pox as a child to bring this in. I did have chicken pox as a child but this was never reported to the doctors by my parents as it wasn’t serious. Do they provide a blood test on the day/this doesn’t matter? I’m slightly worried I’ll need to get a blood test from my doctor’s beforehand to show immunity? Could someone let me know their experience with the medical and chicken pox? Thank you

    Hello, Apologies if this is not in the right section. I have booked my visa appointment for March today in London, and my appointment is in the morning so I am staying over night at a hotel. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of what they can bring to the appointment - am I allowed to bring a backpack with my clothes/makeup/toiletries in or is this forbidden? The website states that i cannot bring anything over the size of cabin luggage but I just want to make sure as I don't want to be turned away. My appointment is at 11am and usually check outs for hotels etc is at midday so I would be bringing my bag with me. Thank you so much!

    Thank you! They keep putting up dates however they are days from now which I am unable to attend because I don't want to book my medical without booking my interview first so I can make sure I've got the timescales right...it's a bit frustrating but I'll keep checking back! I think you're right and I've just gone to book at the wrong time!

    I think it might be just a case of the consular adding more dates as and when, I was on the site on and off all day yesterday and they added 2 more dates but in Jan which are not good for me! I guess we just have to keep checking back!

    Hi everyone, I am trying to schedule a K Visa appointment at the US Embassy in London however the only day it is giving me is 30th Jan which is too close as I've not been able to schedule my medical yet. All other days are greyed out. Does anyone know when they release new appointments for people to schedule or is this an issue? Thank you

    On the US embassy website for the UK it states that the required documents I need for my medical is the ACRO. But then it also states on the interview’s required documents which is why I am querying if one copy is enough and if they will give it back to me? Thank you so much for your help this is just what I wanted to hear! Much appreciated

    Hello! I am due to schedule my interview and my medical today after being told that my police certificate is on its way. My question is: Am I okay with only ONE copy? Is this the copy I give at the medical, and I don't need any more copies? I would like to make sure in case I need to purchase an extra copy! Thank you

    Hello! I received my package 3 through the post and I am applying for my ACRO today. I have a question - as the form could take 30 days, should I wait until I have my ACRO in hand to book my medical and interview, or can I book in advance (For example, beginning of March?) What have people done in the past and what would everyone suggest? Thank you! I am going to sort the DS-160 ASAP too!

    Hi Everyone, How soon after should I expect my welcome letter/further info from my consulate? They received everything Dec 14th and the NVC case tracker says ready. Haven't received anything through the post yet but appreciate it's holiday season!
