Hello All, 
We had our interview on May 23 and our visas were approved. 
Wanted to mention some information in here in case it is useful for others.
Our case was EB-2 NIW, DQ Nov 2022. Both born in Iran. We lived in US on F1 Visa for more than 4 years and had never entered US other than that. We didn’t have a job offer.
So the interview went great. As everyone mentioned here, one officer took our original documents and a copy of our passports. Asked general questions. Then we sat for the interview. 
The interview then took less than 30 minutes and it went smoothly. Officer was very nice during the interview. we were asked if we have a job offer (by both officers) to which we replied we are in the process and we do not have an offer yet. The officer asked about our past experiences and where we want to live and similar questions. 
He then took a couple of minutes taking notes after which he congratulated us and told us our Visas are approved. 
BTW around the MTL embassy is all under construction and it is a good idea if you get a nearby hotel or arrive sooner.

Visa stats for March are out. 84 eb visas! 
 
And most excitingly 680 visas processed through montreal in 1 month. Before it was always between 400-500. So they really have increased the capacity! I see this backlog actually being cleared! Very good news! 

You don't need tax returns for employment based visa. But as always if you have these documents it never hurts to bring them. 

Returned means visiting for any length of time. If you have gone for a vacation/ to visit family you must have a police report from the last 2 years. As for the expiry date I am not sure. I have one from my home country (UK) and one from canada, but neither have an expiry date. So I don't have an answer for that one.

I received my interview letter on March 18th.  The interview is scheduled for April 15th.    I was going to update the Excel file but it appears my entry has been deleted.

January visa stats are out. 
 
No big surprise very few eb visas issued. Hopefully we see a big uptick now that we see interview letters coming out again.
