    It means documentarily qualified and it is achieved when the NVC approved all the documents that they asked you to sent.

    "The Immigrant Visa Section at the U.S. Embassy would like to remind all of our visa applicants to bring their Birth Certificate Inextensa with them for their interview. All applicants, including applicants that will travel on the same petition in the future, must present their Birth Certificates Inextensa. Do not bring the extract of your Birth Certificate to the interview. Failure to bring your Birth Certificate Inextensa will result in delays in your visa processing."     That's when you send Documents to NVC no embassies.

    Yes, they do not need to be translated. The previous post is for when you send documents to the NVC and they must be translated. They basically want to check the original documents that you sent to NVC (they ask for copies no originals).     It looks like the Embassy has some backlog issues. Would be nice to know the longest that someone has waited for an interview.

    We are on the same boat, but EB2 and August 2022. Most posts are for K1 and other type of visas (family-related).

    Hello VJ community, How long is the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic taking to "schedule" (technically NVC) interviews in 2023? I read that it is between 2-6 months.

    Is this ("as next week is a week that they will be mailing cases to the embassy.") for all types of immigrant visas? How about employment-based immigrant visas? For EBs NVC schedules the interviews. I have been waiting since August 2022, EB-2. However, I did receive my letter from NVC. Also, NVC sent me an email December 2022 saying,"The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 60 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview." They sent me the same one last October 2022.
