Did you get a case update after hitting one year mark? I don’t think the case automatically update after hitting one year mark, it’s probably an unsolicited update and good news coming to your way. Let us know if your case updated recently.

Hello Everyone, I have sent an email to Montreal consulate last month and received this email which I have screenshot and attached here. Is this the same generic reply everyone is getting or am I the only one who got this reply where it says “In some cases extensive consular review and administrative processing is required”. Your feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks

Finally, after 106 days got an email reply from Montreal consulate regarding case status. Same generic reply that your case was refused under 221(g) and is currently under administrative processing….. I even asked them about when KFE will merge into NVC and would it be possible that previously refused applications will be processed faster due to this change. But the reply DIDN’T MENTION anything related to it.

Interest fun fact! Montreal consulate has put my email address as a spam because I am not getting automated email response from Montreal consulate as you sent an email to them. It might be because I was emailing them twice a day.
