    Also, I would like to ask members that if they notice last case updated date around evening time. As I am continuously checking my case status every day and every hour. I know it’s not good for the mental health but what to do. I noticed my case was update after 6:00 pm on Feb 20th

    As per the declaration by Carlson WU “Acting Director of SAO office”. The DS-5535 cases are not “First-in & First-out” basis. This entire process is vague.

    My understanding is once the DS-5535 is submitted the consulate will prepare our file and send it for SAO. And the VO can’t open your file until the case is resolved by DOS.

    Does anyone help me out with the “Case Last Updated Date”. I have an an email to Montreal consulate on Feb 7th, 2023, I didn’t receive any response back from Montreal consulate. But my case last date was updated on Feb 20th, 2023. Is it related to my email inquiry? For which I didn’t receive any response or is it because someone is looking/working 👀 on my application?

    I got an update on my case date today. Till this afternoon there’s nothing but I just check now, the case last date updated. I Sent an email to the consulate on Feb 7th. I think it might be due to that…but I didn’t receive a generic email from the consulate regarding my case status. Weird🫣

    Mine was in September 27th, 2023. The CO also asked me to send my CV along with DS-5535.

    Status will get update later on! I think you’ll be get your passport with visa on it.

    I wish not! Seems like you’ll be approved soon for the visa if you haven’t received DS-5535. CO will review the resume and will approve your visa application.

    I also received an email response from the consulate on January 09th. Same generic email mention “case is currently under administrative processing”. My interview was on September 27th, 2023.
