  1. Hi! Please refrain from judgement. I know I messed up pretty bad and have been mad at myself for the last 2 years. I was in the United States on an F-1 visa. On my last entry, I was stopped and my phone was checked where evidence was found and my visa was cancelled under 212(a)(2)(A)(I)(ii) for possession and use of controlled substances and my passport was cited with 22CFR 41.122(h)(3.) My partner and I hired a lawyer and we filed our k-1 application which was approved and we have our interview next month. However, at this point, my partner and I believe we have been given false hope by the lawyer and our odds are slim to none since there is no waiver for my case. There is a chance that I might be permanently barred. Has anyone ever seen turn arounds and approvals for cases like mine? And does anyone have any advice for me?
  2. I do not have criminal history in the United States. However, I did have to withdraw my application for entry on my last visit which makes my case complicated. I’m aware of the low chances but my fiancé and I still want to go through all the options
  3. Thanks for your reply. That’s what I think but my case is complicated and I wanna be extra cautious
  4. Hi! I have to submit a police clearance certificates for every country I have lived in for more than 6 months for my k1 visa. I lived in Illinois for 2 years before moving back to my country. Does anyone how I can apply for the police certificate from Pakistan? Every website that I have found requires either mail in finger prints or a visit to us post offices. Thank you in advance!
  5. Hello, I’m a beneficiary from Pakistan. We applied for our k-1 visa and got approved in Oct 2022. We just received our embassy letter that they are ready to schedule an appointment. The problem is our four months since our petition approval expire on feb 19th 2023 and we are afraid that we might not be able to schedule an appointment because we are still getting the documents ready. How do we extend our application for at least another month? I’ve seen posts on the topic before but they are mainly for during covid-19 restrictions. Thank you in advance!
